We are thankful to Dr Aimee for the rest of our lives. Dr Aimee gave us the gift of our baby. I…read morehave done several diagnostic procedures with her and also transferred an embryo under her care and guidance, she was spot on with her advice and guided us with every step of our transfer. She made a stressful process very very smooth for us . She is very kind, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, very sharp, thorough and has an amazing personality and also has a great sense of humour ! All her staff are also very kind and organised. She was the bright light in our dark infertility battle and gave me hope in my hardest times .She is truly the best in her job. She helped us having a baby and brought so much love and faith to our lives. We truly believe that she is a God sent. We can't thank her enough.

As a huge fan of palindrome numbers, I figured review #999 should be something out of the norm of…read morerestaurants and boba shops. Something that we struggled with for a while due to age was infertility. We had actually seen several fertility specialists during this long journey, and have gone through 3 rounds of IVF (2 mini's and 1 conventional) as well as an IUI. Although they were all unfortunately unsuccessful, we discovered that not all fertility clinics and doctors are created equal. While we found that many doctors take a very traditional, rigid and cookie cutter approach to treatment. Focusing more on luck through repeated attempts, Dr. Aimee was much more focused and tailored in her regiment. We always felt informed during this process, and confident in Dr. Aimee's recommendations. And unlike other clinics, we were always able to get ahold of Dr. Aimee directly. Instead of communicating with a nurse who would then pass the message along to the doctor if they felt it needed escalation. Along these lines, we were always shocked at how quickly we were usually able to get a response from Dr. Aimee. Sometimes even late at night. We often joked that Dr. Aimee probably doesn't sleep. Our only complaints about going with Dr. Aimee revolved around a few issues: 1) The initial application process to get a consultation with Dr. Aimee was lengthy, difficult, and required a lot of chasing from my wife due to poor follow-up and communication from the office. The individual handling review and processing of new patient applications would often go awol for days on end after sending out limited communication. 2) Billing was oftentimes not very clear and created a need for us to meticulously examine our bills line by line to ensure accuracy. 3) Dr. Aimee does not accept any insurance so 100% of the costs will be out of pocket. In addition, her rates are substantially higher than other clinics. Although we were ultimately unsuccessful with IVF, we were eventually blessed with a miracle baby through natural birth. Despite this, we would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Aimee to anyone looking for fertility care.

This month we had an appointment but the office failed to tell me it was now an in-office visit. I would never have agreed to see him at that time in his office because my child comes home at that time. He is trying to charge me a $50 late fee although they failed to inform me. The office staff asked him to not charge me and he still insisted I get charged. You call that a caring doctor? I will never see a doctor this greedy and petty.

I had thyroid cancer, but even though the removed…read morenodule, according to the protocols, did not require treatment with radioactive iodine, Dr. Murad recommended I do it because he had another patient with the same size nodule who didn't do radioactive iodine and whose thyroid cancer returned. The doctor did not inform me of the risk of salivary gland damage that radioactive iodine can cause. Well, I did get salivary gland damage, and now I cannot eat dry foods like crackers or peanut butter. But the biggest problem is that, because I now do not have proper salivation, I get tons and tons of cavities, despite being prescribed high-fluoride toothpaste by my dentist. This has resulted in astronomical dental bills and a new cavity at least every two months. Had I known of this risk and because the protocols did not require radioactive iodine for my nodule size, I would have said no to the radioactive iodine and instead asked to be followed very carefully for cancer return. In addition to all of the above, the doctor has repeatedly ordered a test related to bone density called "collagen crosslinks." Even though I have told him that this test is not covered by Aetna because it is not considered proven effective, he continues to order it. I finally had to insist that the office reimburse me for $400 in charges for this test. Then the next lab order, thankfully, did not include a request for this test. So I didn't even think to look at the lab order after that, which AGAIN contained the collagen crosslinks lab that I have now also been billed for by Quest. The person in the office who handles the collagen crosslinks issue, Jacki (sp?), who I believe is an assistant, is appallingly slow at responding and addressing this error by Murad and his office. I will be switching to a new endocrinologist.

His office staff reflects the same level of professionalism--welcoming, respectful, and highly organized--contributing to a seamless and comfortable experience. Still traumatized by his ugly actions, I fled. However, I soon contacted him to accept the proposed refund. Sadly, he reneged. I guess that his conscience moved him to call in a friend and fellow plastic surgeon to consult with me in his (Dr. Lavey's) office. This physician recommended redoing the surgery, but he also made it very clear that some of what was done could not be undone or corrected. I filed a complaint with the Medical Board of California not only for the damage due to his surgical ineptitude, disrespectful and absolutely horrifying behavior, and fraudulent offer.
