Brett promised the world during the sales process, but once the contract was signed, the follow-through completely disappeared. After that, everything was handed off to Casey and communication went downhill fast. Weekend availability is terrible. I purchased the shutters in November, and installation didn't happen until months later. Brett measured my windows twice, then a younger employee came out and measured again. When the third-party installers finally showed up, they had the wrong measurements. How does that even happen after three separate visits? On top of that, Casey was extremely rude and condescending. She also kept my credit card on file without my permission, which is completely unacceptable. The level of unprofessionalism throughout this entire process was through the roof. Also, the first photo shown on this so-called business profile (the one with the curtains) apparently doesn't even belong to them...or at least that's the impression I got when I asked Brett about it. After all the inconvenience, delays, and frustration, I honestly expected some type of discount or acknowledgment of the issues. Unfortunately, that never happened. Very disappointing experience.

The installer came out to our house twice, once to take measurements, and once to install. Unfortunately I do not remember his name, but he was really good at what he does. We first worked with Rick 6+ years ago when we moved into our home. He installed shutters in our bedrooms and office, and they've held up beautifully. I remembered how professional and on top of everything he was, so I reached out again when we needed blinds for our bedroom. Jeremy and Parker came out for measurements and made the whole process incredibly easy. They walked us through options, gave thoughtful suggestions, and provided an estimate. All in about 10-15 minutes. About two weeks later, they returned for installation and were done in under 5 minutes. Everything was seamless. The best part is how it turned out. It's exactly what we envisioned, if not better. We now have automated blinds in our bay window that give us privacy while still letting in light, and they look so clean in person. They even upgraded us to a system without a visible battery pack, which made a big difference aesthetically. Truly some of the best in the industry. Friendly, efficient, and trustworthy. It ended up taking 4 weeks, but that was no problem for me. I actually had to reschedule the original install date because I was sick, and they were very understanding and accommodating of that. The guy who installed them was efficient and super clean. It took about 5 hours for him to mount all of the roller shades we got, and everything looks perfect! I got quotes from a couple other companies, and while Sunburst was about the same price as the other places, I ultimately chose them because I liked Kimball better than the other people I met with. His personality and communication with me is what sealed the deal.

He installed new, stainless-steel rollers in place of the old, broken plastic ones and replaced rusted, broken screws on the frame. He also aligned the door, cleaned the track, and showed me the proper lubricant to keep things moving. He was also great with our two dear dogs, and they liked him just fine. When we told him we were not certain about the style of doors for some of the items he urged us to sign the contract to take advantage of the discount and assured us we would be able to update via a change order. Nothing would be ordered until the choices were made and the change order was executed. We have done many remodeling projects over the years and change orders are standard so we had no reason to doubt his assurances. Since then he has overpromised and failed to deliver. Every time we texted or emailed to ask about the change order status he reiterated that it was with the office, everyone was aware, nothing would be ordered and the change order would be sent - tonight, tomorrow, next day...you get the picture. After weeks of waiting for the change order so we could move on the project, we tried to escalate a number of times because based on the reviews we expected better customer service. However, we were told we needed to resolve all the miscommunications and failed follow through with the salesman that had failed to follow through. Imagine our surprise when we got a text that some of the doors were ready for installation. The salesman was shocked as he had told us nothing would be ordered until the change order was signed. In an effort to salvage the project and because we wanted to believe the salesman, we allowed for partial installation. The installation was riddled with additional issues. Wrong hardware, wrong trim, no wood molding around the door. The salesman was apologetic and did not understand why there was a disconnect. After another few weeks of messages, emails and requests to escalate, we finally got confirmation that the salesperson and the director of revenue would come to our home at 2pm on 6/22. They arrived late 30 minutes late (even though my husband had made it clear he was meeting them during his lunch hour) and the director of revenue was defensive and put all blame on the misrepresentations made by their salesman on us. During the meeting the salesman told him that the remaining doors had not been ordered. After that meeting the company STILL had the salesman follow up to ask how we wanted to proceed. He was embarrassed at that point because he was telling us the company would be able to address our concerns and they hung him out to dry. Even though it wasn't our fault, in an effort to put this nightmare behind us and NEVER deal with them again, after a few exchanges with the director of revenue, we agreed to a resolution provided they completed the project by today. No response for over a week until this afternoon when they basically said 'thanks for agreeing to letting us do what we haven't done but keep bending over backwards so we can do it in our terms'. @owner of the company you should step in sooner and not wait for the online reviews to try justifying the experience. For all those that posted 1 star reviews in the last year we should talk about options. Based on your experiences I can tell is not the individual players. It's the company.

After reading my post, Krystal reached out to me to resolve the issues I mentioned in my original review. She was very kind, sweet, and genuine. She understands the meaning of customer service. We agreed that what happened in the past can't be undone but she reached out to do whatever she can to make things right. She was very sympathetic and understanding without being confrontational at all. She ultimately agreed to send me a check to reimburse me for the extra, out of pocket expenses I accrued as a result of my initial experience with Richard & Shutter Heaven. She was also willing to send a contractor out to redo/repair any of the initial damage that wasn't done properly. Krystal understood the damage was done and there was nothing she could do about that but she was very adamant about reimbursing me and trying to do whatever it takes to make things right. Thank you Krystal! Like we discussed, I really do wish things turned out differently however the fact that you reached out really means a lot. I really do appreciate the reimbursement. I only wish you were involved from the start of the project. I'm sure things would have turned out much different. read more

We were very pleased with every aspect of our experience using Shutter Heaven. The owner, Richard, brought working models of shutters out to our home so that we could see first hand how the Norman brand differs from the other brands of shutters. That really helped us to decide on the shutters we wanted to buy. Shutter Heaven's prices were reasonable for the quality of the product. As everything during COVID, receipt of our shutters was delayed due to the ongoing supply chain issues (even though they are called Shutter Heaven, they didn't have any extra influence on the shipping issues). Chelsi, with constant good humor, kept us apprised of the shifting arrival dates and as soon as the ship docked in Los Angeles arranged for installation. Omar and Daniel did a quick, clean and professional installation (not even a spot of paint needed to be touched up). We love our new shutters and would definitely choose Shutter Heaven again for any future projects. read more

I love that they come to your house. I worked with Richard, he was so helpful. He shared a lot of great ideas for my space. Richard is very easy to work with and very patient, I might add. He came to my home twice to help me choose the products I needed for my living room and bedroom. I went with roller shades for my sliding glass doors (love them) and wood blinds for the bedrooms. We had our shutters put in about 5 or 6 years ago and to this day I just LOVE them! I have 3 sliding glass doors in my house and the two that we had put them on were both across the room from each other. I cannot tell you how much of a difference this made in our house. Not to mention it brought the value of our house up as well. I am looking forward to having the rest of the house done. And when I do Richard will be the one I will be calling. I had my blinds installed today 5/6/2026. The installer came on time, and the job was finished in a timely manner. I am very pleased with this purchase. I went through Costco. I was going to get three quotes, but after Richard came to my house, and listened to what I wanted. He heard when I said that "I didn't want something that was going to break the bank". I decided to go with Shutter Heaven. It also helped that Costco was giving 20% instead 10% back on the job. I considered that a win-win. The blinds make my old house look new. read more

He advertised his shutters as "Made in Korea" and repeatedly assured me that was true, using it as justification for charging a higher price. Based on that claim, I chose him over a well-known company my family had used. After months of shipment delays, installation day finally came -- and every single box was labeled "Made in China." This was nothing but a bait-and-switch. When I confronted him, he arrogantly brushed it off and said it "doesn't matter where they're made". That's not just poor customer service -- that's lying to your customers. The problems didn't end there. He made mistakes with the order, causing even more delays. And when the shutters were finally installed, the design was careless and sloppy. Panels swing in opposite directions, blocking walkways and ruining the view from my double and corner windows. Any professional would have installed them as bi-folds, but he dismissed my concerns and told me he "didn't see a problem." I'm unhappy with the work completed by Aha Blinds.

That was no problem for him, he came out within a few days, and that evening I signed off on everything via email. Order was placed and I was told we'd have them installed within 3 weeks. It ended up taking 4 weeks, but that was no problem for me. I actually had to reschedule the original install date because I was sick, and they were very understanding and accommodating of that. The guy who installed them was efficient and super clean. It took about 5 hours for him to mount all of the roller shades we got, and everything looks perfect! I got quotes from a couple other companies, and while Sunburst was about the same price as the other places, I ultimately chose them because I liked Kimball better than the other people I met with. His personality and communication with me is what sealed the deal.
