They are attentive and clean. They keep it pretty dark in there so I've noticed that the regulars would use their phone lights to check the nails and ask for changes if needed. It would appear that fancy designs are their thing but basic fills require monitoring. For me, the pedicure tool usage is something I've had to monitor especially since COVID but they've been good about getting me new tools if I am suspicious about any one thing they're using on me. However, if you decide to come here for a wax, ANY wax, ask for Cindy. She's the owners wife. If she is not there, for the love of all that is holy do not do it!! No one else there is a certified waxer and you and your skin wil be sorry for days to come. They will pull wrong. They will double dip if not monitored and again, your skin will be sorry for days! An older lady threaded my eyebrows and I almost cried looking at the result. One of my eyebrows was MUCH more different than my other one. I pointed this out to her and she said she would fix it. The next time I checked the mirror I was even more horrified, my eyebrows looked so bad and one was thinner while the other was thicker. I pointed this out to her AGAIN and she quite literally said, "you can use an eyebrow pencil." I don't want to use an eyebrow pencil, that's why I'm coming to you! To thread my eyebrows! Greeted me with a smile, showed me how to check in and even check in by her was AMAZING! Now for the in between waxing experience. Amy came in and did the standard procedure. She gave me a mirror for the part she finished but not the next part to check. When I got home I still had spots that were not taken care of that I had to do myself. I am paying for a service. If I wanted to do it at home I would've. I had wax all over me and even on my phone. Honestly the only reason I would come back is because of Sunny and the receptionist tonight. After some back and forth, we finally agreed on a new time, even though I had already booked online. When I arrived, I was excited and showed her a video of the lashes I wanted. She assured me she could do them but mentioned adding a small twist to enhance the look. I told her that was fine as long as they still resembled the video. Unfortunately, they didn't. When I expressed my disappointment and asked for a fix, she showed no concern. Her customer service was awful--once I paid, she completely disregarded my satisfaction. To make matters worse, my lashes started falling out after just 3-4 days. I reached out, and she offered a complimentary set, even calling to confirm. Since it takes me about 2.5 hours to get there, I made the trip--only for her to claim, "Oh, no, I didn't know I was talking to you," and refuse to redo my lashes. This was after an entire conversation on Instagram, while I was in a different state. She simply didn't care. I was devastated and on the verge of tears. This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Her unprofessionalism was unacceptable, and I will be reporting her to the Better Business Bureau.

i booked a service at self care studio with on of jess's students in training i think?? i had…read moresomething happen to me prior to the time of my appointment so i informed them i would be late. they told me it would be a $20 extra charge. i said fine just because i really wanted my lashes done even though on there booking page it states they don't have a late charge. i came in with sophia who was the student doing my lashes and everything was going good until they started on my lashes. first of all when i first saw jess she was disrespectful to me and i even asked her a question on the length of lashes was receiving and she told me i "didn't know anything" about what she was talking about. jess then started on my lashes and then her student took over. after 2 hours my lashes were finally done and personally i think they looked nothing like my inspo pic. both sophia and jess tryed to convince me otherwise but i still wasn't satisfied. overall i am very disappointed and my lashes were already falling out as soon as i left and are irritating my eyes.

Very little pain, no fuss, she followed my instructions to the letter. Now I have the perfect arch again, full, but clean arch. My facelift is over till next time. She also offered the next service free of charge. Very nice of her and good customer service on her part, however, in my opinion, all the technicians should be properly trained in all advertised services. If they are not trained then they should advise customers to wait for a different, more experienced technician for that particular service.
