Thursday lunch special was shrimp, FF, coleslaw and hush puppies. Quality of the food was worth 5 stars: hot, fresh, and tasty. They do not have iced tea- fair selection of bottled drinks tho. I did not get a drink so i do not know if they have cups with ice. Its a carnival type of trailer serving food from a window. Do not let this stop you- food was worthy of any sit-down place. Everything was served "to go" in a bag. When i sat down to eat i discovered napkins and silverware were not included- only 4 stars for service. Cole slaw without a fork is difficult. I would go again, just more aware that i need to pay attention. Seating is outside with generous picnic tables and umbrellas. We drove past Shrimp Landing on our way to Fort Island Gulf beach. After spending some time at the beach we decided to get some lunch. We found Shrimp Landing on Yelp and the reviews sounded good. We ended up getting the last parking spot in front of the food truck area. The parking lot was packed. It's basically a food truck/trailer set up. There were plenty of picnic tables set up. They did have some gluten free options. We got the 1 pound of old bay cooked peel and eat shrimp. The 1 pound price was a better deal than the 1/2 pound. Everything came out quickly. The shrimp was really plump and tasty. The worker even brought out some ice water in a dish for our puppy. We really enjoyed the fresh air and watching the pelicans. Got the one pound shrimp basket that came with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Usually when you get a lot of shrimp it's because they aren't good, today that wasn't the case. Not only was there a sh!tlo@d of shrimp but they were exactly what I want in a fried shrimp. The sides were excellent as well which only added to the experience. Had the exact same meal the day before at Crab Plantation, and it was thoroughly disappointing so if you're in the market for shrimp, don't go there. And yeah I know "why did you get shrimp at a place called Crab Plant", because I was hungry and wanted shrimp and they had shrimp. Staff was friendly and food came out relatively fast considering how busy it was. Will definitely be back for more shrimp at Shrimp Landing. My husband and I came here after paddleboarding to Three Sisters Springs. We had worked up an appetite after two hours of paddling and were craving some seafood. I had this place bookmarked since they have fresh seafood and it's right on the water. When you pull up and walk toward the location, you see the fisherman and your companies docking with their fresh catches and cleaning the fish. The restaurant itself is technically a food trailer outside of the market, near the docks. They have a ton of outdoor seating right on the river and restrooms a few steps away. For lunch, my husband ordered the snapper sandwich and I got the fried shrimp basket. The service was friendly and the food was prepared promptly. My shrimp were fresh and came with a side of cole slaw, fries, and a hush puppy. My husband also got fries and a hush puppy with his order. Everything was cooler perfectly and the portions were huge. It's definitely not a "fancy" place for dining, but the freshness is unmatched. We will definitely be returning next time we're in the area! read more

We were able to get a parking spot right in front. There is a menu on a board and you order at the truck. You are given a timer that will buzz when your food is ready. Clean picnic tables next to the water. Some in sun some in shade. Staff very friendly. Clean bathrooms. You can go for an air boat ride and also charter a boat I believe. They will cook up what you catch fishing. Now the food. SLAMMING. Very reasonable for the amount of food they give you. I had a pound of the blackened shrimp w/ crunchy French fries and really good slaw. & 2 of the best hush puppies I've ever had. Also delicious cocktail sauce that I did not need but had to have because you can tell it's house made. My father had the blackened grouper sandwich. Came with fries and a hush puppy. He loved it. Exactly what you expect from a true seafood fresh from the water joint. It's a good truck but quality of a sit down place. See the photos. We stopped here after swimming with manatees in crystal river because our guide had made the recommendation. We had a group of about 6 of us so we tried a few different items. My fiancé and I shared the fried snapper with french fries and the brisket mac and cheese. The fried snapper and fries were absolutely delicious! Out of everything we tasted, that was by far the winner of our lunch. The brisket on the mac and cheese was really tender and delicious too. I never thought I'd say this, but the actual mac and cheese had way too much cheese for our liking and the cheese was pretty solid and not creamy. My parents had the brisket sandwich, which they said was pretty good. As we were finishing eating the owner told us that you can go fishing out on the river and come back and the food truck will cook up your fresh fish. I would definitely love to come back to do that! After a day on Crystal River we drove down the road to experience a slice of old Florida fun!This place has been around since 1986 when the Ward's made it into a charter fish rental with a fresh fish market and a fresh cooked seafood restaurant. When we arrived the fishing charter boat had just come in with pounds and pounds of fresh red snapper. We walked past all the fishing gear and boats to the fresh Fish market and purchased a few pounds of of course Crystal River scallops. Along with a few dozen clams and some cooked foods. For the cooked foods we ordered fried shrimp grouper oysters and more scallops. Pick yourself a spot right by the river with a cool breeze at a picnic table eating fresh fried fish along with the most delicious hush puppies I've had in a long time. No problem...Once we finally decided upon a fish basket we waited 45 min to receive 3 extremely tiny pieces of broken up old looking fish for $40. My husband and I went to the window to inquire about the missing food in our order and the owner just snapped and started screaming literally out of the blue! Saying "What do you want, do you want your money, just take your food and GO! We don't have any Catch of the day!!!" When I told him he was unprofessional he proceeded to make faces at me and slammed the sliding door in our face! He was screaming that people were complaining to everyone outside & although I had no clue who he was talking about but it's totally conceivable. He was screaming at his staff and treating them like crap in front of customers and was throwing food around the back. This man must be about to lose the business or something because he is obviously losing his mind! We immediately demanded our money back and went elsewhere! Even customers behind us got out of line and walked away! The food is mediocre at best for a typical food truck ! Do yourself a favor a go elsewhere this business is garbage!
