Please take note. This is not a restaurant any longer. It's only a fish market. It looked pretty good as a fish market but no prepackaged food. Parking is quite difficult. read more

Simply Seafood market is a great place to get fresh seafood at a great price. The owners and staff are the best and if you have a question about seafood, they will know it! Love going here and you will too if you like seafood! read more

Delicious fresh seafood. Fish and clams are excellent and the dips are well spiced. Always a great place to get your fish if you can't catch your own. read more

Didnt look like the eat in part was open when we went so went in the market attached-- got 100 small clams to make in the pressure cooker at home 5 mins all clams opened -- was not a fan of the king crab mac and cheese so would not get again as it was expensive -- the clams were reasonably priced would purchase again and the salmon fennel chowder is amazing can't wait to try other chowders also-- next time will try the trout dip -- great place near the Blue Gator -- small dont drive to fast or you will pass it read more

Considering it's the only seafood market in town, this place is way better than it needs to be. Good selection of local gulf fish & shellfish at reasonable prices. They also carry cold water lobster and a few types of northern fish. Lots of homemade fish dips; crab cakes too. I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

Simply Seafood has great seafood. The shrimp tastes like shrimp, and not rubber. I was very impressed with my first visit. The lady behind the counter wore a mask, and used gloves to ready my shrimp order. I noticed, during my second visit, the man behind the counter handled all the fish with his bare hands, and didn't wear a mask. It is disgusting . I will not be back read more

Great fresh seafood and great people, couldn't ask for more!

Came here after a morning of snorkeling and canoeing up at Rainbow River. The high yelp review did not disappoint-we got the crab grilled cheese and sampled one of each of the best crab cakes I've ever had! The service was amazing and staff very friendly. read more

This place is small but packs an amazing seafood at a great price. I had the trigger fish sandwich and it was amazing along with the seafood soup. The seafood soup had an assortment of mixed seafood in a tomato base and was out of this world. Don't let the small size fool you, this place is for real. Awesome place for an out of town-er. read more

Food was great! Not the best I've ever had for seafood but pretty dang close!! I defiantly recommend this to seafood lovers. FOOD IS VERY FRESH! read more

We tried their lobster bisque and New England clam chowder while at a Christmas street fair. Both were tasty, but we enjoyed the clam chowder more. It was chunky with big pieces of clams and it wasn't too creamy. The lobster bisque on the other had no chunks and was very creamy. $5 for a bowl of chowder and $6 for a bowl of the bisque. The staff was friendly and they had a guy dressed up as a lobster. Can't say no to that! read more

If you're a Yankee this is your place. Nothing southern about it. Small but clean. Owners try hard to make people feel welcome.

Small restaurant with limited space, but excellent food. Had excellent mussels and sublime blacked trigger fish. Fresh offerings change day to day, and the majority of options here are not fried, which is a lovely change for this area! read more

The best seafood around. It is fresh and each each item is cooked to order I have gotten some takeout from them but mostly I get the fish and cook it myself. The store is spotless and you know it's fresh since there is no smell of fish whatsoever. At Christmas time, we had an amazing seven fish salad that was the owner's grandfather's recipe. Everyone at the dinner table loved it I cannot wait for next year to get this again. read more

I just love simply seafood .. I have never had their takeout but I buy all my seafood here and even have family memebers that drive over 40 mins just to buy seafood from simply seafood. The staff is always friendly and the store is always spotless. read more

My family and I went to this restaurant tonight for my birthday and all I can say is, you need to try it. And honestly, I hesitate to even say it because I'd love to keep this gem to myself but for the benefit of the owners, they deserve all the business Dunnellon has. The food is superb - we had lobster bisque, salads, white fish dip, blue crab, shrimp scampi, shrimp ala vodka, rosemary salmon and a crab cake. I'll start backwards, the crab cake was the best I've ever had and I've been to New England, Hawaii and several Caribbean islands where the food *should* be this good. These people know their way around a crab. Okay, next up is the scampi - excellent! The shrimp weren't overcooked or rubbery, it wasn't too garlicky and the pasta was al dente. My husband said the shrimp ala vodka was fantastic too. I tasted it and have to agree. My mom had the salmon and it was cooked well and not too rosemary-y (this place is so good, I've started making up words!). The owners are lovely. So lovely, in fact, you almost forget they're New Yorkers ;) John and Deborah treat you like you're sitting in their dining room. We talked to them like they were old friends. It's a small place so make sure you make a reservation. And if you can hang out and talk to the owners. And, the chef. He's a masterful cook and pleasant guy who will cook pretty much anything you ask for (if you give him some notice). I highly recommend this hidden gem! read more

I have been waiting to see this restaurant to pop up on yelp to write a review. We went about a month ago. Only a couple of tables and a bar with a few stools but we had no problem to get a table. I ordered the special that was seafood piccata. It had mussels clams and shrimp over angel hair pasta. It was delicious and so fresh as it should be since they own the fresh seafood next door. I had to take half of it home it was such a big portion. We also ordered the blackened swordfish that came with a side of fresh green beans. Excellent. We were afraid it might be to spicy but it wasn't. It had just the right amount of seasoning. She also brought us a taste of her oyster soup. Also good. When we were getting ready to leave she also informed us if there is something you would like that is not on the menu just ask and they will make it for you. When your done go next door and buy some fresh fish dip sold in containers that the owner makes herself. You will not be disappointed read more

Freshest Seafood I have ever seen....and I live on the coast....awesome knowledgeable friendly staff too! Simply Seafood is simply the best

Very informal atmosphere; staff is most pleasant and accommodating; crab cake is the best we've had since Baltimore! ... haddock was lush and flavorful .... shrimp were tasty and cooked just right! .... zucchini was delish! .... scampi was perfect! Even the salads were great! servings were ample and pleasing to the eye! ....and all of this coming from someone who has dined in some of the finest seafood restaurants from Maine to Key West! read more

The lobster sandwich on the thick whole wheat was fantastic! The Florida lobster was the major portion of the sandwich, not a potato hot dog roll! I thought Maine had the best lobster sandwiches, but Simply Seafood tops anything I had previously eaten, and I'm a New Englander.
