So, this is the place that will be the one to go to for fresh fish and sea food! It is quite a bit far from the house, but it is worth the trip! On this particular day, we were getting fresh sea food for dinner party and Brooks was a great choice! We bought Cedar Key Clams, Red Snapper, and Smoked Fish Spread! They cleaned and will fillet fish on request. They provided us with a cooler and ice for our trip back home! Amazing! We could not leave without trying food from the food truck sitting just outside, tempting us! We had the most delicious and fresh Grouper sandwich ever! What a place! I wish it was closer!!!

Food was very tasty and we all cleaned our plates, even my very picky elderly step father. But the highlight of the experience was our server - Bobbi V. She was AMAZING! Super attentive, so good with my elderly parents who can be tough and overall such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with! She is also one of the bartenders so be sure to stop and see her at the bar too! It was a very nice way to spend the afternoon!

Well, if it's never happened to you then you probably haven't been to Blackwater Grill and Bar. I came in looking forward to the comedy show and dinner I and 3 others came for and a guy who was a bartender/ host ( maybe?) said you can't go upstairs because we were early ( 15 minutes to showtime). He then walked away without out welcoming us or suggesting that we have a drink at the bar, he just walked away. The waiter upstairs was preygood considering how overwhelmed he was due to the rush and understaffed bought over a glasses of swamp that looked and tasted like it had sea-monkeys from the 70's. No bottled water for sale. At the end of the show, one of the comedians announced that the show had a tip bucket that you could leave 'tips for them and he stood in the exit doorway with a bucket, partially blocking the exit ( worse than outside a Walmart or WaWa ) then the bright laser bean lights came on before anyone got a check. Very negative vibe here folks.... Here's you hat what's your hurry credo.

There was a wait for a table but my boyfriend and I were able to secure 2 spots at the bar. The waitresses/bartenders are BUSSSYYY but they never let our drinks be empty. We both ordered 2 low seafood boils which had sausage, corn, potato's, crawfish, shrimp, mussels/clams and a blue crab in it and covered in old bay with a side of garlic butter. We could not stop talking about this dinner the next day. Everything was so fresh and juicy. For 3 beers, 2 seafood boils with tip we paid $82 which is not a bad deal at all. We absolutely will be back.

I'm thinking management must have changed because wow the staff has been better. We both ordered the same thing which we loved from our last trip 2 years ago, the Royal Red Alfredo. We get our dish and it is clearly not what we ordered last time but figure we haven't seen our waitress for 10 minutes and she never even checked on us. We had been out all day so we're starving. Oh, worth mentioning...it was my Birthday. Didnt even get a "Happy Birthday" after mentioning it to our waitress. My mother had to get a refill from the bar. The more we eat the more we realize this wasn't what we ordered, but rather the Shrimp Scampi variant. We call for the manager who argues with us over what an Alfredo sauce is which clearly it is not...he swears it is and that it has separated into God knows what as all we see is a soppy mess of butter and garlic. I show him a picture from Yelp of another customer's Alfredo from the restaurant we are CURRENTLY sitting in and told this is an old picture...We both realize we're getting gaslit as we know what an alfredo sauce is and had the exact dish so we know what it looks like. We agreed that we ate the food and will pay the price for the scampi dish they served us which is $2 cheaper than what we actually ordered. They refused to lower the bill so we left and paid without tipping. I've never had an experience quite like this where the manager will not even work with you. Not even an apology...we will never be back here again. You can judge for yourself if that looks like Alfredo to you. If you want straight seafood, this place might be alright, but the service we received was absolutely terrible.

You basically look into the kitchen when you sit at the bar. We made reservations for 6:30 and the place was hopping. My friends and I started with their fish dip, which was very creamy and fresh. They also gave us a complimentary order of the Fishnet Onion appetizer, which is thin onion rings. That was also very tasty and crispy. Two of us ordered a cup of their clam chowder. It had a bit of a kick to it and was very delicious. The oyster crackers were stale though. Both of my friends ordered the Grilled Crab Cakes, which I tried, and it was slightly crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. The order came with 3 cakes. Very good indeed. One of the orders came with sweet potato fries that were soggy. She didn't eat them, but our server Alex noticed and took them off her bill. I ordered the Fried Oysters with a baked potato. The oysters were fried perfectly and very tasty. All of our meals came with hush puppies, cole slaw and one side. I also ordered a Gin Cucumber drink that was prepared just right. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Our server was super nice and the food was great!

Fernando was our server and he was absolutely wonderful. Dave got the Craft IPA and Fernando brought us fish net onions and dipping sauce. They are like delicious wisps of onion rings. So we ordered 12 blue claw crabs, cooked and cleaned in a garlic and oil sauce. We were surprised that they were available. We usually call before we come and they hold some for us. They came with coleslaw, hush puppies and a side of large onion rings. ( Dave's choice of a side.). I ordered little neck clams steamed in olive oil and garlic, my favorite and we gobbled them up lol! The crabs were out of this world, juicy and so fresh. The sauce was light and not salty. Fernando was an excellent server and made sure we had everything we needed. The sun was setting as we left, large and orange and the moon was rising. What a beautiful evening with my best friend and Freckles, since they are very dog friendly.
