The female owner is lovely and has repaired a number of my performance outfits (as a musician) and also has cleaned some expensive coats I own that were very hard to clean, and did a great job. Very responsible and professional. I had a one piece dark blue beaded pantsuit for performance, very delicate material , beaded, and she realized with 3 inch heels, we did n't have to hem, which would have ruined the outfit anyway, but did pull the back in tighter, which really helps. read more

I love this place! They do a great job and it's very reasonably priced. Alterations have a quick 1 week turnaround as well! Owners are very kind! read more

Really would not recommend unfortunately. I had several gowns dry cleaned here for spot treatment and they were returned to me with a strong bad odor that they did not have before that I have not been able to get rid of. read more

I will NEVER come back here again. The service is absolutely terrible, and the prices are outrageous. They had the nerve to charge me coat prices for a simple long cotton shirt, and when I pointed out the mistake, the man literally walked away from me instead of fixing it! Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. If this is how they treat paying customers, I can only imagine how many others they've overcharged without saying a word. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. read more

Always friendly, prompt and gets the job done. Whether it's dry cleaning or alterations, they are great at it. My dry cleaner unfortunately did not make it through COVID and closed in 2020. I have been using Shrader Cleaners ever since and now I'm grateful that I had to find a new cleaner! The price is about average too. read more

They work great and she's very sweet and accommodating. I did dry cleaning and tailoring and satisfied with both! I'll be back!

I used to live 3 doors down from this place, and took my dry cleaning there. In those days, I didn't have much dry cleaning, and I smoked a lot of pot. The end result was, I would often leave clothes there for months at a time. One day I decided to make the 3 door trek down the street to pick up some shirts that I had dropped off months before. Mr Wong, the friendly and honest owner mentioned in the previous review, engaged me in some friendly banter, none of which I understood. I smiled and paid for my clothes, and began leaving. Mr Wong kept talking to me, more excitedly now. After a few minutes of breaking down the language barrier, Mr Wong convinced me that I needed to pick up my suit. Incredible; he pulled out a suit I had dropped off there no less than 6 months before. I completely forgot I even owned the suit, let alone had it dry cleaned. Now that's impressive service. And marijuana. read more

I was going to another cleaners in my old neighborhood. The prices were ridiculous, but the final straw was when I was prepping for my wedding and when I picked it up it was full of wrinkles. Increasingly this was a problem. I quickly searched Yelp and I drove directly to this lovely establishment. They got it back in a reasonable time. Not as fast as the other place, but NO WRINKLES. Been here a few more times and no troubles at a reasonable price. read more

This is the worst place you can take your clothes for dry cleaning period! Two weeks ago I dropped of a suit jacket to see if a stain could be removed, Mr. Wong the owner said no problem he would try several times if necessary. When I went to pick it up to my surprise it had 4 additional denim stains on a satin jacket!?!?? Mr Wong's response was to call the designer to complain! Wtf? Fortunately I went right down the street to Russ Cleaners who fixed the issue Mr Wong caused and removed the original stain. I wouldn't trust this guy with a pillow case! read more

Great service. This guy did a good job on the cleaning/pressing, and also made a great impression on me with his customer service. I was in a huge rush, and didn't have any cash on me, so he wrote up my order while I ran over to the ATM, and called me back to the front of the line when I got back to make the payment. To top it off (and this is huge for me), it's a family run, local establishment - good people. read more

Live right down the street and I'm damn glad too. They're a good mom & pop type of shop. Mrs. ??? altered my pants because I've been smoking a bunch of crack from lower Haight and been losing weight. No judgement = 4 stars. Anyway, friendly and fair prices. Pretty tight. (Pun intended) read more

I am willing to give this place 5 stars solely based on the fact that if this dry cleaner didn't exist- I wouldn't know what to do. Cue Leann Rhimes "How do I live without you?" Even though we now live in Cole Valley and not the Upper Haight, we still come here. I made the tragic mistake of dropping off my clothes at the dry cleaner on Cole Street due to the fact that it was three houses away from my own and $77 later learned the error of my ways. Shrader Cleaners has quick turn around, the clothes are always pressed and cleaned at a fair price, and who can resist the super cute owners who always ask, "Why your husband no come in?" They also told me I look like a celebrity. Customer for life. They do not take cards, but after years of getting to know me they will now take a personal check : ) read more

Mr Wong, the owner, is friendly and honest. I brought in a whole bunch of stuff to be dry cleaned and he actually pulled out items insisting that I laundry them myself for maximum cleaniless!! He took the time to explain the dry cleaning process to me as well as explaining what kinds of materials require dry cleaning. wow. read more

This place appears to now be called Shrader Cleaners. Went there to have several items dry cleaned. Came back to pick it up and attempted to pay with my credit card since it was over 70 bucks only to be told it's cash only. CASH ONLY? I get it, some bars and restaurants do that now, but you're a dry cleaner. People like me that are lazy about dropping off their dry cleaning may not be carrying enough cash to pay for all the clothes we're getting done (because we're also lazy about going to the ATM). So I then had to go home and get my checkbook in order to write a check for my dry cleaning. Drove back to pick up my clothes (super annoyed by that point). I usually write a check exactly once a month - for rent. You guys might want to look into a credit card machine... Still give it 3 stars since they did a good job, were very nice and had reasonable prices (that 70 bucks was for over 10 pieces of clothing). Almost dropped to 2 stars because their phone number doesn't seem to work (catch up with this century guys). read more

Terrible results. I see many reviews talking about how nice the owner is. That may be true--I don't know--but it is small consolation for mistreating your clothes. Note to management: the second keyword in "wash and fold" is "fold." And wrinkles don't count as folds. Clothes must have been washed/dried very hot because they came back shrunken. And stuffed in a pillowcase. Nice touch. I reserve my one star ratings for truly rude, abusive, or traumatic experiences. That's the only reason you have two here. A tip to those who take their chances here: you can get rid of your ruined clothes at goodwill on Haight--it's only a few blocks away from the cleaners. read more

If I moved to the East Bay I would still bring my clothes to this dry cleaner. The owner is super friendly and the price is right. I've tried a few places and have paid almost three times the price as New Russ Cleaners. Try them once and you'll see. You won't go anywhere else. read more

Not only do these guys over charge, they're rude and can barely speak English. Warning to everyone that comes near, go to the other dry cleaning place a cross the street. read more

I love the owner of this place... I forget his name, I think it Cho. He askes me everytime I come in "You go Mexico" and of course we have a 10 minute convo, none of which I understand. Very reasonably priced AND speedy. I trust him with all of my dry cleaning. read more

This place is the absolute worst. (1) They are never open at 8am, sometimes not even by 8:30. Good luck trying to drop stuff off and make it on time to work. (2) Tried to drop off some items to be hemmed, only to be told that they lady wasn't there that day. Fine. When is she there? "Oh, some days, between 12 and 4." So again, if you've a "9-5" job you're S.O.O.L. if you need anything altered. (3) Wash and Fold. They only do it on SOME days? What is that crap? Long of the short, find another place in the Upper Haight/ Cole Valley. This place is a joke. read more

I will always bring my dry cleaning here! The guy here is fantastic and will tell me what stuff actually needs dry cleaning, what stuff he thinks would be better thrown in his washer, and what stuff I'm being dramatic about and can just throw in the machine at home. read more

He is seriously the happiest guy alive. I sincerely enjoy dropping my dry cleaning off here as he is always so chipper and brings a smile. The prices are pretty reasonable as well, particularly on the big money items like coats, suits and dresses. read more

Love the owner! He calls everyone bud (of course, he is right next to the Haight), and is pretty funny if you get his jokes. He does NOT take credit cards, and while I am tempted to bump him a star for that, he gains one back for always (and I mean ALWAYS) being able to deliver a day or two early if I am in a pinch for shirts. I have never seen anyone retrieve garments with such enthusiasm. read more

props to this dude. i have no idea what his name is - terribly spotty english! but the nicest guy in all of san francisco. doesn't hurt that he recognizes my voice over the phone, calls me mr. steve, and says "u da boss!" all the time. he pressed a suit, dry-cleaned 6 shirts, and took care of 16 pounds of laundry in less than 24 hours. .90 cents/pound! i highly recommend this place. such a cool dude! read more

Well Bob, after finding other people's clothing in our wash & dry 3 times, losing untold socks, t-shirts, washcloths, and who knows what else, I've decided to start going to the expensive wash club. Now I have to walk further and pay more. Me: Bob, does anyone ever bring in our clothes like I'm bringing in these people's underwear and t-shirts today? Bob: Uh, I don't know. Me: You don't know? What're you, ON DOPE? +I've had to replace a number of buttons on dry cleaned shirts. +Reflecting another's comments regarding wrinkles, yea. WRINKLES and plenty of them. +Shrinkage. He runs his dryers like ovens to save time. All my fleece clothing is ruined. +Cash only? Bob, it's 2012. Get with the millenia already. Inexpensive, yes. But another prime example of getting what you pay for. read more

My first (and last) experience with this dry cleaner. I gave them a tux and some dress pants to dry clean. He looked them over, suggested dry cleaning and that was the end of that conversation. Today my boyfriend went back for the pick up to find a big orange stain on the dress pants. The dry cleaning guy tells my boyfriend that he and I discussed the stain and that I dismissively ignored his advice to launder it and insisted on dry cleaning. Really? Why would I do that? He also apparently offered a flourishing mimicry of me, which makes me think he's confused me for someone else...regardless, that is poor - and bitchy - customer service. In summary - not only did they totally lie about having discussed a stain on a pair of pants, but they also did not bother trying to get out the stain (ie why are the pants not clean?) and then took no responsibility for it. Finally, they were rude and unhelpful about the whole situation. read more

So pleased with the alteration I had them do and picked up today. She did an excellent job, and for less than I expected. I used to do all my own sewing, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but she did a perfect job on my favorite pants. read more

So happy to have found this place! They did an incredible job with my two dresses, even fixing a visible wire and getting out some old stains I thought were permanent! And for an affordable price. I will be back :) read more

I absolutely love this place, and adore the owner. I have been going here for over a year and refuse to take my dry cleaning anywhere else. The customer service is wonderful and my clothes always come back fresh and without any wrinkles. I own a lot of lace and silk outfits and he always handles with the utmost care. The prices are reasonable and the turn-around is fast. Wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

top marks for this local cleaner. he seems remember all of his clients, delivers promptly, competitive prices, and never loses items. often he asks me when i want my clothes by. he's better than mom. read more

I love this guy! Sometimes I cannot understand what he is saying, but they do a great job at dry cleaning and it is pretty cheap compared to other places in the area. read more

I would definitely not recommend this place. The place tore my wife's Boss shirt and also did not clean the seat stains on her armani suit jacket. He refused to re-do the jacket or re-imburse me for a new shirt - he gave partial compensation which essentially buys the sleeves. I have used this place for a month and have had this problem - Please beware read more

There were wrinkles and creases all over my wash and fold. That was a deal breaker for me.
