It's so surprising to read all of these reviews bashing Showercrafters when I had totally the opposite experience. EVERYTHING from precision measurements (by Charlie) to the final installation was done professionally and timely! Communication was top notch..pricing was excellent and the final outcome beautiful! I had just renovated my bathroom. When Showercrafters came to install the shower door, the assistant put a tool box on top of my toilet and scratched and damaged it. Showercrafters said they were going to replace it. That has been almost a month now and they have not made good on their promise. read more

Stay away!!!!! They installed our shower doors years ago and the doors were made wrong - we did not know. when they fell off the tracks, they charged us to put them back on the tracks. A year later, the glass almost collapsed, and we were able to take it off the track. They came to fix it and broke the glass - it shattered all over the place. and would not do anything for us but charge us for another door. I am still cleaning glass pieces from my bathroom. You were warned - STAY AWAY read more

Horrible job, sloppy job, never respond to emails and overcharge. Do not waste your money

Horrible customer service and their workmanship is pretty horrible also. I've used them a couple of times doing bathrooms for clients and without exaggeration every job they did for us was a fiasco. Buyer beware there are hundreds of shower door companies in the area. read more

I think the picture speaks for itself. This is the finished product left by the Showercrafter installers. Installing a new shower door in an existing tiled shower is their business and expertise. The end result should not look like this. I was told by the installers they would come back to rectify. Well its been 18months and nothing. I am frustrated because they dont Actually have customer service. I've had a number of incompetent interactions with them. I'm so frustrated. Not to mention the shower door is mediocre at best. read more

We have a wonderful experience with Showercrafters. From walking into the store, to the install we had a great experience. They had great communication skills from start to finish. My glass and shower doors feel completely secure and sturdy. They were very honest and open with us from the beginning. The install process was great. They didn't rush, covered up all my tile to protect it and cleaned everything up! You can tell they take pride in their work. Thank you, Showercrafters! read more

DO NOT do business with this company - As you can see by the pictures attached, the work was done poorly and the customer service is absolutely pitiful. We paid over $2000 for a custom glass shower door that does not close properly and have been unsuccessfully attempting to get resolution to the matter. We got 1 response despite numerous voicemails and texts on both the business and the owner's personal cell phone. We even went to their business numerous times with no luck. I am not writing this cautionary review so that nobody else makes the mistake of doing business with them and next i will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will update this review as it unfolds. read more

So, December 12th will mark 2-months since money was put down on securing our shower project that was estimated robe completed in 3-weeks tops. The past five weeks we've been trying to contact the fabrication team (because the main number (sales) doesn't have your job order status)...has been filled with nothing but re-direction & empty promises. At this point, my contractor cannot even get in-touch with the manager manager nor Raj to cancel this project & get his money refunded. This delays my bathroom project, and now makes my contractor look bad because his work is incomplete. I am urging my contractor to take legal action on this matter as soon as possible. This is ridiculous. SMFH P.S. I agree with Rachel C. Therefore, I could not and would not select even ONE star (there deserve -10)! #PissPoor P.P.S. - Yelp wouldn't let me rate this review w/o a star. read more

Showercrafters - My incomplete shower. Turning blue holding my breath for ShowerCrafters to assemble this shower glass. WTH - Kitchen & Bath Near Me - Lynbrook, New York

Rip off!! Walked in to replace shower door drip rail (little plastic liner on bottom to prevent water from getting out). They wanted $47 for a 30in piece of plastic. Immediately looked on Amazon and saw the exact item for $12, with free shipping. Ordered from Amazon, recieved next day, fit like a glove. Owner laughed at me when I asked if he would at least be competitive with his pricing. Laughs on you now. read more

My family had Showercrafters install 2 sets of shower doors approximately two years ago. Since the installation we have had nothing but trouble with the doors in both showers... leaking, doors getting stuck while we are in the shower, door get stuck and difficult to open. Their customer service is terrible. We finally outlived the warranty with issues and now have to pay out of pocket for every service repair for the SAME problems. The customer service is terrible... try getting someone to help you in a timely manner!!!!! I would never recommend them or use them again. They ruined my bathroom and my mom's! Absolutely terrible! read more

I have tried to give this company the benefit of doubt because they were helpful with a bad contractor. Then they have gone downhill ever since. The obnoxious customer responses I continue to get each time I had enough of.I asked for something on my glass to be addressed and I get a run around about it.If you really value business and referrals, please call me and address my issue. read more

I purchased shower doors, I paid in full in cash and it has been less than one month and there are problems with the doors and the quality of the installation. I called, I emailed, I emailed again, I called again finally I was contacted back, had a home visit to be told it is a quick fix, I will make this right, I will have .... come back and fix the error, WELL THAT WAS THREE WEEKS AGO and still the shower doors don't work I paid just shy of 2000$ and can not get anyone to come in and repair the crappy installation job. I wished I read the reviews before I did business with this company. HEED this warning and do not be fooled by the fact they have been in business for 33 years. I can not understand how this company has been in business this long. CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS and so does the work! read more

A FRAUD and a CROOK, STAY AWAY!!! A sheisty business. Everything that comes out of Bill's (the owner) mouth are a sales pitch, but that's it'! It's been over 2 years, since the original purchase. His son was the salesman at the time, sold me the doors I wanted, ordered a completely wrong door. They came to measure the first before the install, said the walls were great, perfect for the install. Came installed the wrong door, leaked from the moment of the install. Then still wanted to be paid. Bill steps in with his sales BS (great talker), how they stand behind their products and work. Then asks for sympathy for his "young college student son trying to make a living made mistake" story. Offers me to order me the correct door if I want, or leave that door without asking for the balance of the money. I wanted the original door. He starts with the barking that then I'd have to order new glass and they don't make that "special" glass anymore. I'm more inclined to believe he stopped paying his suppliers, and can't get anymore product. I gave in, saying as long as they get this door to stop leaking all over the bathroom floor, I would let it go. They must've been back at least 4 times to try to stop it from leaking. Then he started blaming the walls being too level and plum, saying that it's not giving proper drainage. Finally, they hire some new kid with a brain for problem solving, and he corrects the problem some how. I make sure to tell him to instruct the other technicians, including Bill the owner, of the solution. I think Bill beats the employees out of money because you never see them again, always someone new This lasts about 6 months, and the door starts leaking again. I call the shop and the kid hasn't been there again, and Bill's refusing to fix the problem, until I pay him for the door that I never received. I think it's time to get Nassau County Consumer Affairs involved! STAY AWAY!! read more

When I saw Jason's review I had to add mine. I paid in full for a shower door. Kept calling and calling to find out the install date. Was promised over and over one date, then another, then another. After 6 weeks I went to another guy in Franklin Square, he completed the job in less than 2 weeks. But now the fun began, getting my payment back!! What hustlers these people are! After many promises and being put on to speak to one person after another (although I asked repeatedly, I NEVER saw or spoke to the owner) I realized it was useless. I filed a small claims case and only then did they refund my money. read more

I should have red the reviews before I ordered from them. It has been 6 weeks since the first measurement was taken. I have lines drawn all over the place and no shower doors. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COSTS! We ordered a shower door in Sept 2012. We were told it would be done in 3wks. Bill came to measure in 5 days and took a deposit. This started a 6 MONTH ordeal. Set up an installation date, which came and went. My husband called. People never called back when they said they would. Excuse after excuse, canceled appointment after canceled appointment. The glass broke. The factory had an explosion. The installer had an emergency. We finally realized that we would not get our shower door or deposit back. Finally, at he end of November, my husband disputed the charge with the credit card company. They called and recorded all the conversations, and threatened to take back our deposit. Finally, in February, Showercrafters said they had the glass. Did half an installation, and taped it there, and left. Mind you we live in a house gutted after Superstorm Sandy, and they left us with no functioning shower. In February. After 6 recorded calls, where the bank caught these scumbags in a lie, they refunded our deposit. Then, when they did not have our money, gee, they called us back. Finally finished the installation, and the installer did a good job. The quality of the work was fine. PLEASE HEED MY WARNING. IF WE HAD NOT BEEN PERSISTENT AND GOTTEN OUR BANK INVOLVED, THEY WOULD HAVE KEPT OUR DEPOSIT AND DONE HALF AN INSTALLATION. I think they are more than incompetent, I think they plan on people getting frustrated and walking away from their deposits. read more

I am currently in the throes of hell with shower crafters ordered a replacement shower door a month ago and have called and visit their shop to be told bill is the only one who can update me- I have left 7 messages for him at store and on cell including text and he still hasn't gotten back to me. It has been ridiculous I would never recommend this company and would give it a -10 but u have to add a star unfortunately First of all Bill, this was a year and half ago that the review was written. Second there was no payment issue so please stop lying! Third of all the major complaint was your lack of good citizenship by failing to response after nearly a dozen attempts at trying to reach you. Had you merely gotten on the phone to provide an update the there was a delay (Oh maybe it was you who didn't pay) things may have turned out differently read more

This is a follow-up to my post above (Greg B. 1/4/206). Shortly after that post Showercrafters delivered and installed our doors and they look outstanding. In addition, the owner came by to check the installation and discuss our issues. My wife met with him, discussed our frustration, and was satisfied with the result. The bottom-line is we're satisfied with the product and the owner indicated he will work to improve customer service and communications. read more

Did an amazing job repairing my shower door. Service all around was excellent. Would highly recommend this call company.

I'm very unhappy with the service they provided. They broke our brand new tile and painted it with cheap (different color) paint just to cover it up. Didn't even mentioned to us when they were done with the service. I had the shower door for about three months and the piece that holds the water from falling off the bathtub pilled off. They installed the bathroom door out of the lines of the tiles. I should've known their quality when they came into our house (and I just've had a newborn baby) with their work shoes and stepped inside our bathtub. I didn't listen to my instinct and let them do their job. After complaining, million calls and emails, I was expecting they would come and try to fix the mess they did. Some emails I am waiting for an answer until today. My tyle is still broken, the door looks out of the center and water does not stop dripping out of our bathtub. Good advice... please find another place to install your shower door. At least a more respectful one. read more

This place is a total scam. I spent thousands of dollars at this place and they do not have a "one year" guarantee as they stated. No one answers the phone for service, as they are swamped with "installs" I was told. Stop installing your junk and spend time fixing your doors! I have been calling literally for months. Spoke to a "Bill" and a "Jim" after dozens of phone calls to get through. Still no help. Promise after promise and nothing. Left with two broken doors. This review is based completely off the customer service and installation turnaround time. I was told 10 business days for installation once measurements were completed.
