We had original maple floors with a dark finish. The floors needed to be patched up in places and…read moresanded. The owner came to the house, said it wouldn't be a problem gave me a list of stains for the floors, to which I said whichever can match the original color. He said this is no problem and we hired him for the job. After the floor was sanded, they began to put down oil instead of stain. We asked why it was so light and he told us that you cant use stain on these floors, as it would be very blotchy. He said that he would use a darker tinted oil and even tried it out on a patch of wood so we would see the color. We approved that since there was nothing else to do. After three days of applying the oil it was still very light. When I asked him why it didn't match the sample he showed us, he said the sample was done on new wood that was a different type. When we contacted the owner asking these questions, he twisted his and our words to not only not answer us, but to talk down to us and say that we knew the risks (which he never told us). All in all, he is refusing to talk to us and will not answer our calls or texts. The last thing he said to me was that if I wanted to dark wood that I would need to spend a lot more money to get that done, which is not option for us. Then he said just cover the floors with furniture you won't know the difference. Edit: was finally able to walk on floors after it was all dry. There were holes that were supposed to be filled that were not, one of the boards was completely cracked now has a new hole, and just bad craftsmanship all around. I would never recommend this company to anyone who needs their wood flooring redone, since they don't care about what the client wants and are extremely disrespectful.

TriView is different because as we had an unusual shape shower door. They said let us come to your house and measure first without a payment without anything. They came over that impressed me a lot. They came and measured. Then maybe 2 to 3 weeks later we went and visited their location they were hospitable, patient and provided me the comfort that earned business. 10 days later they delivered my brand new shower door and it is beautiful and I tested it out after they said I had to wait 48 hours. Having recently purchased a new home after more than three decades of apartment living, I have…read morebecome intimately familiar with dealing with various contractors. No return calls, incorrect information, flat out lying -- all too common occurrences when dealing with home repair. However, Orlando is a rare find. He calls when he says he will, he keeps his appointments and his prices are more than fair. On top of all that, he is a genuinely nice guy. While he was packing up after several hours of work on my sink and tub, I asked Orlando for advice on how to patch a small chip on the tub in the main bathroom. Despite the fact he was done for the day, instead of telling me how to do it, he went back out to his truck, mixed up a special batch of color-matched secret-formula tub-filler and fixed the chip himself. And when I tried to pay him for the extra work, he refused to accept my money. (If his fellow contractors ever found out about this, they'd probably kick him out of the club). Loved his work so much, we will be hiring him again to redo the tub in our old place before we put it on the market.
