I scheduled an appointment with this place due to the great reviews, my usual place cancelled my appointment due to they decided to renovate and my appointment was scheduled a month prior. My appointment was for 2:00pm, at 12:19 I received a message that she couldn't see me at the scheduled time since she had to pick up her granddaughter and she forgot. I understand that things do happen, she tried to get me in later but I have a college class to go to and I'm getting married tomorrow. I'm very angry about this, never expected this from a place with great reviews. Now I'm screwed trying to find a good place that can see me in such short notice. The owner just posted a message, I feel for your daughter and the situation and I understand, I too have gone through a bad divorce and it was worst than what you described, I not once canceled and I work with patients, I would go in and cry in between patients. Almost 6 yrs ago I was preggo with my daughter and in desperate need of my nails and toes done. As a former acrylic and nail polish chick, I knew I needed something without the harsh chemicals fuming into my nostrils. Google directed me to Tawana and I've never looked back. When someone hears that I get gel nails done they all assume it's acrylic nails with a gel polish and nail art. Tawana uses by far the best product. As a business owner and single mother I don't have the time or the patience to wait for polish to dry or having the need to be super dainty so as to not jack up my nails. I'm highly disappointed in the professionalism in Ava. I had seen an advertisement for her business in a Boulder City FB group and I went to Instagram and really liked her work. I have a regular nail person I go to but it is not in Boulder City , so I was very happy to see someone 2 minutes from my home and I decided I would switch to her. I made an appointment for my nails to be done with her. The day of the 2PM appointment, I get a text at 6:19 AM that she is cancelling and the reasoning behind it ( the information was a bit much instead of just asking to reschedule ). I was a bit disappointed seeing as I waited to go to her to get my nails done and I had a wedding I was attending two days later. Fast forward to this past week. I decided to give a fair shake and try again because we all have off days , I get it. I book an appointment on Monday for a 4:30 PM appointment on Thursday. I get a same day text again at 9:06 AM that she has " a relentless cough ". It seems a bit uncanny she's cancelling once again. I finally decided to express my disappointments with her with the lack of professionalism. The response was a bit weak and really if you're going to be running a successful business , you need to do better. Stop with the excuses. I'm a very good client and I work on tips myself. I always take care of my nail people. Too bad you lost my business before you even got to know me. I was very reluctant to write a review , but it has been ruminating in my mind for the last few days and I'm actually pretty mad. I hope you can change the horrible last minute cancellations. If you don't want clients doing that to you ( and I'm sure you charge for those type of cancellations ), have the same respect in return. All of our time is precious ! read more

The best nail experience I have ever had. I had been getting gels at walk in type places for a long time. And after going to Tawana at Show Us Your Tips - I'll never go back to anything other than her LCN gel nails. They do not damage my nails the way the strip mall nail salons did. Also, they hold up and last two to three weeks. The fact that she has a million different bling options is also amazing. It's so nice to be able to sit in a super cute nail shop and get your nails done and relax. It's also amazing to be able to set an appointment and get there and have her take you on time!
