Just had a gel manicure with Steve for the first time this evening. He was great! Total perfectionist. Clean lines. Flawless execution. My nails are strong with the hard gel but look totally natural. Not my experience in the past with others. And he gave a wonderful little massage at the end, no one does that anymore!! I totally recommend him. I was a regular customer of Steven's until last summer when I had to temporarily stop getting my nails done. In the past, Steven made my cuticles bleed several times but the end result was always perfect so I was okay with the gamble. I booked an appointment with Steven several days in advance, on a day I didn't want, just so Steven could do my manicure. I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment and Steven told me Sam, the new guy, would take care of me because he had a regular customer there. After cutting my nails, Sam asked what shape and I said round. He filed away at the edges making a sort of tapered rounded square. I pointed out a hard corner on one nail and asked him to round it out and he filed the wrong side, even as I told him "That side is fine, it's this side." The polish was applied sloppily and not allowed to fully harden between coats so it's bubbled. The end result is a sloppy mess. I can't even get it fixed until they've grown out some because the edges of my nails are so torn up. I was okay with taking the gamble that my cuticles might get cut to have the perfect manicure, but not if I'm gambling to have it even be competent. I won't be back. Do not let your tweens and teenagers go here without parental supervision (just avoid this place); they will take advantage of them. About a week ago I dropped my niece and her friend off to get their nails done (both 12). They called ahead of time and received quotes for the service they wanted. When the service was completed, they charged them more than the verbally quoted price AND more than their own website stated (the verbal quote was less than the website - I thought maybe because they were tweens and not adults). When I went in to pick them up I asked how everything was and they told me what happened. I asked for a refund to be given to the tweens and they said they would have to take their nails off (in a much more inappropriate way). My niece was already embarrassed by me trying to address this issue so we left. I will never take her there again. Beware of their dishonesty and inappropriate behavior towards young people. My advice to you is to find a different place. read more

Been coming here for a couple months now and May, is wonderful. She listens to what I'm looking for and I've always gotten exactly what I wanted each time. She has never once done anything to make me uncomfortable or injured me in anyway. Their facility and tools are always clean. She is great and takes her time. Felt so relaxed and at home when I'm there. Up until recently I've always gone to the same independent contractor for my acrylic nails. However, due to the distance I decided to research nail salons that were closer to me. After some thorough research I decided to give Royal Nails a try. My first impression was great. The salon is super clean and fancy. I was treated by May the second I walked in, I asked for a Pedicure, Manicure and Eye Brow waxing. I was planning on spending money today! I was escorted to the Pedicure chair before even being able to look at colors. I didn't mind, I was getting white tips on my toes anyways. A gentleman did my toes in record time. At first I thought "this is great, I'll be in and out as I have a 2 month old baby at home!" However, the gentleman couldn't help but look at his watch the entire pedicure. I could tell he had an appt coming in. My feet from my pedicure are still rough as the dead skin was not successfully removed. I was then escorted to the manicure side. And again asked what I'd like done. I showed May a photo and she said "no I can't do that, it's gel" now mind you, I had originally said I wanted polished but was more than willing to get gel if I could get the design done that I wanted! But I was never given the option. She proceeded with my nails, never asked me about length. I like them short anyways so what does it matter? I looked around at everyone else's nails while I was having mine worked on and I felt super confident! Everyone's nails looked great! Just as I expected from the reviews. Oh boy was I wrong (we will get back to that). May proceeded to tell me to pick out colors. I came back with the colors I'd like and she said "those are gel colors". Now remind you, I would have been more than willing to have gel done if asked. So I said "how do I know the difference" and she replied "there will be one or two" ONE OR TWO WHAT?? Whatever, I wondered back and found other colors and second guessed myself as their colors are not separated from polish and gel. After I returned with my polish May was working on another set of nails at a different station and Steve began painting my nails. He had to choose a different glitter as glitter number 101 was out of stock. I asked for Blue on all but the ring finger and glitter on the ring finger. He did blue on all nails and glitter on top of all. He finished quickly and left me there for my nails to dry. Then the gentleman that did my pedicure asked if I was ready to pay. I explained that I had not had my eyebrows waxed yet. So they rushed me back so Steve could do my eyebrows. Complains: 1. Not one person made conversation with me. They were all laughing and yelling in their language. 2: my cuticles were not cut before the application of acrylic and were not oiled down before being instructed to wash. 3. I was not asked for communicated with when it came to the length, design, type or my options. 4. There was no communication from person to person when I said what colors I wanted on what nails. 5. It seemed more about time crunch than patient satisfaction 6. The acrylic was packed on really thick and did not look natural. 7. The two people next to me both received lotion and hand massages, I didn't even get my cuticles cut. I look really young so I understand that it may look like I'm Not seasoned and I don't know what I want? I'm not quite sure why everyone else's nails around me looked amazing and mine look like poo! Overall, I won't go back! This set will last about 2 weeks and I'll go somewhere else for a different full set. read more

this place is a royal rip off. I called to make an appointment and get a quote. When I arrived, I had to wait 30 minutes. Then when I went to pay the total was $20 more than what they quoted. So I looked on their website in front of the employees and what they were charging me was even more than what was on their website. When I expressed my disappointment to who I think was the manager, his resolution was, he would take my nails off and give me my money back. I will never go there again. I absolutely love this salon and all the people who work here. Product: I came in to get a standard acrylic fill and saw Steve. Steve and I were talking before my appointment and he was telling me about the gel fill vs. the standard acrylic fill. I've had acrylics for years and decided based off what Steve told me to give the gel fill a try. I love them. They are feel lighter, last longer, don't lift AT ALL and there is no awful smell. Customer Service: Steve is very pleasant and professional. If you wanna chit chat he'll chit chat, if you aren't a talker he's ok with that too. Some days I wanna talk other days I don't. I got a full set from Steven and I just wanted to say how impressed I am with my nails! Best dip set I've ever had. The salon space is very neat and clean, you can see the care they put into their surroundings . The staff is polite and accommodating. I expected to pay extra due to the service I received but it was $65 total with tip included! Only took about an hour to transform my nails, he took great care of me. I had booked an appointment online on a Sunday for a Wednesday at 4 pm for a face wax for a family photo I was doing the day after. I get to that appointment at the time I was booked for and the lady asks what I'm there for, I told her I had a 4 o'clock waxing appointment. She looks thru her notepad as they all should and she says "no you're not here." I show her my phone and had the confirmation right on the screen and she continues to say no. Then she looks 2 days ahead and says I'm for Friday at 6 pm? It clearly said on the website AND the text messages I was for Wednesday at 4.
