Very rude company, especially Danielle. I sent in a request for a quote, specifically for a "rackcard duplex color". She responded asking if I wanted a folded brochure. I politely referenced my previous email saying I wanted rackcard duplex and did not state that I wanted folded in that email; her ego took a huge hit since she didn't pay attention to the first email very well and responded that she isn't interested in doing the job. Well, if they can't pay attention to a simple request for "rackcard duplex" that does not say "folded" - I wouldn't want to do business with them anyway. That kind of attention to detail is necessary when working with small businesses and their marketing materials. Marketing materials costs are lot of money for small businesses. Buyer Beware! If you do business with them, be sure to get proofs before approving jobs - they might not read your request well, just as Danielle demonstrated in this situation. This is an excellent printing company. We got behind on a project right before Thanksgiving. Our deadline was to have the publication available to the public on December 1st. Our usual printer guaranteed delivery on November 30 for significant expediting fees, so we had to look at alternatives and came across Short Run Printing. I gave them a call. We had the product by Tuesday, Nov 26 for $100 less than our regular shop. I cannot be more pleased with the quality of the printing and with the process for placing the order. We made cookbooks for a charity fundraiser and was recommended Short Run for printing. We have never made any sort of book before so we didn't know what to expect but Short Run completely exceeded our expectations. One of thing I really loved is their quote calculator, which includes shipping and whatever other fees so you know exactly how much you'll be paying. Since we're a charity we really needed to figure out our cost to the vent. They also shipped me a paper sample package immediately so we were able to get our order sorted quickly. I emailed and called with Max several times since I was very nervous about making sure everything was right and he was more than helpful every step of the way. The other great thing is that they can cut your book to any specific size with no additional charge-- you just order the standard size up and they'll cut them from there. We'd looked at a couple of other places that were going to charge us an arm and a leg to do this. We did a batch of 200 for the first run and they were BEAUTIFUL! They truly looked like something you'd get at a bookstore. We couldn't have been more thrilled. We went with the cheapest ship/ print date and they actually came sooner than we were originally told. Ended up needed to do a second batch of printing because we sold out and it went just as smoothly as the first. read more

Had a very unfortunate experience with Short Run Printing LTD. I gave them a chance because I read an article about how it was small business owned operation, so figured I would give them a chance. I placed my order on October 12th, 2019 it is now November 12, 2019 and I have been charged for my order in full without any updates or order. The company will not reach out to you, but will not do anything until you followup with them. Max/Danielle never responded to multiple email requests and the only way to get them on the phone is to ask for a manager. Then I am given attitude and spoken to very dismissively. All I wanted was a client recovery which included a discount/partial refund/ future discount to which I was ignored and told to hold off until I get my order. Max (manager) openly admitted that Short Run Printing dropped the ball and have been "too busy to deal with it". I then asked to speak to owner in which I was denied the chance to do so. read more

Literally the WORST printer I have ever worked with. Danielle is unprofessional, can't read emails, change their pricing on the fly, miss deadlines, and just overall suck. I own a magazine publishing company and just experienced the worst kind of customer service that can exist in this business. We are hosting a magazine Launch Party tomo evening in which over 100 people are coming out to celebrate our next issue. A week ago I reached out to Danielle to tell her this order was extra important and that we needed magazines printed on Monday (today) to be ready for Tuesday morning pick up (day of event). They could not screw up this order. Following up with her today to ensure that we were on track Danielle took Friday off then didn't our email from last week "approving" the proof. I sent another email this morning with payment that this incomplete moron missed. She replied back that they could print them and have them ready by 4pm. The event starts at 4pm andbis s hour away. I replied that we needed them 2 hours earlier or not at all. She replied back that she cancelled the order. Instead of moving up their process and printing 25 magazines 2 hours earlier she decided that screwing her customer was ok. This person has zero clue on customer service (I have several examples). I have no idea how this company is still in business. She doesn't value their customers. Beware...this company sucks! read more

after recently joining a student run fashion magazine as the design director i was expecting to be able approve of some form of proof for the magazine. it's been a week later and my team has gotten back the physical copies of the magazine and they look appalling. more than half the layouts and text look highly pixelated and the picture quality is beyond disappointing. the person that contacted me about any issues with the files only mentioned the page numbers and how they needed to be adjusted so they wouldnt get cut off in the final product. my friend and i have put over 30 hours of our own time into this magazine with just editing and making the layouts alone, so it would've been nice to not spend this amount of money knowing how poorly the product would be. i would wish to get a refund or some form compensation in terms of getting a partial reprint to at least have something redeemable, but idk if that will be possible at this point. this type of creative work is my passion and to see my hardwork thrown away at the hands of unorganized manufacturing is quite the let down. read more
