Ok, I admit, I live about 12 minutes from this Shop N Save, but have only been here once! Until today, when I shopped 2 other stores looking for croissants & finally found them here. Admittedly it's Thanksgiving week so the other stores were sold out, but I am glad I stopped in here. I will be back. This store was fully stocked, had wide aisles, & an awesome bakery department. I got what I needed & also an American hoagie & sushi to go, which were both decent. I saw many prior reviews of this store giving it bad reviews were from the pandemic & based on prior mask mandates, not on what this store offers. I would not hesitate to stop in again. Parking was easier than Giant Eagle & the store was less crowded & I checked out with a REAL cashier! read more

Good sales. Great bakery. I asked 2 people about when more Diet Coke would be arriving at the store as it was buy 2 get one free . 1st person said "I don't know". Second person directed me to display by dairy- no Coke products there. I did get 3 - 6pks this trip so I benefitted from the sale. Selfishly wanted to get more!! read more

Items were tagged as on sale and did not ring up the sale price. They did not honor the sale price. The item that I was trying to purchase was tagged on sale at two different locations in the produce area and when asked the produce worker to check, they said it should be on sale and customer service disagreed. Lady at customer service was very unfriendly and mean. Poor customer service. Lost a faithful shopper with the disrespectful mean lady at customer service. read more

You can save a lot if you pay attention to the deals. This store has had a customer service problem for years though. Half the staff are untrained, practically nonverbal teenagers who cannot hide how annoyed they are when you ask for help. The adult staff are the total opposite, super friendly. read more

An elderly gentleman, with one remaining lung after cancer took his other one, was refused service at this location because he could not physically wear a mask. After showing a note from his doctor he was told to use the PAID service of InstaCart (a direct violation of the ADA). When corporate was contacted I was told this is NOT Shop n Save Policy, that customers who cannot wear a mask are not required to do so. But the manager Geoff and owner Daniel McNabb has told corporate to stick their policy up their rear and decided instead to call the police on elderly and disabled customers as well as refuse service to a dying senior citizen who cannot "mask up". When an employee serviced a customer with a medical condition that was unable to use a mask, the cashier was berated by the manager and then suspended for following the law. When directly questioned about the illegal actions they have taken to harass and threaten customers, I was effectively told "we are a private business and the law doesn't apply to us; we can do what we want to keep people safe" If you have any morals whatsoever, take your business elsewhere. read more

A store with a more "at home" feel. The atmosphere is perfect and the employees are so sweet and kind. It has an inviting feel with the color schemes being on the warmer neutral. This is much better than being harassed by LED'S white lights, and cold and harsh environments found at other large stores (varying). Personally, they seem to have a mix of pricing. It ways seems to change significantly when I go inside. I usually go to make quick trips with only a few purchases, otherwise the prices will quickly add up. They add up significantly more than other places from MY EXPERIENCE. The prices are inconsistent. You should at least give it a try, it's a welcoming environment. read more

Stopped at the Shop n Save in Cranberry today at lunchtime to pick up some chicken tenders at the prepared food area. The lady was making hoagies which were lined up in front of her. She would put lunch meat or cheese on a hoagie, then put a piece in her mouth, hoagie, mouth, etc. She was eating directly over the hoagies!!! I wonder what the health department would think of that? read more

I really wanted to give a full 4 because service is 4 or 5 to me, but when I think about the overall shopping, I give it a 3.5. Pls read below: I like how clean they make the produce section. It's very open and bright and makes everything look even more fresh. They have a soup and salad bar, a hot food section, sushi, and a nicely decorated flower shop. The stairs by the flower shop is what leads to the small dining area, where my hubby and I get a quick made to order breakfast. I like that workers are nice and helpful. There is always a bagger at the register, and they are more than willing to help customers carry their groceries to their car. Although I like this store, I still find that this is not a one stop shop for me. They don't have a lot of varieties for snacks and other pantry goods, so it makes it inconvenient when there is something specific that we need and can't find it here. I find that the snacks and pantry goods are more expensive here than at other stores unless they are on sale. I think they are also lacking a pharmacy or maybe it's on the other end where they sell toothpaste and I haven't seen it? Location is strange to get to bc of the way the plaza is constructed. It's like driving thru a maze before you get to the actual store. I still recommend it to everyone otherwise. read more

I ordered a cake for my niece - who is moving to Africa. I told them what to write on the cake and when it came to decorating I just said "an African theme". The cake turned out adorable. KUDOS to the decorator:) I love this shop and save. The cafe is a nice place to go for a quick omelette or hamburger. The store is clean. You don't have to walk 5 miles if you forget an item because the store is not super huge. Best of all it is maybe a mile from my house! read more

Management at this store is insane. They currently have a sign at their bottle shop saying only 3 customers are allowed in there at a time due to COVID-19, which is fair -- it's very small. But the manager stopped me from entering because there were 2 customers in there, plus him and a beer distributor/wholesaler stocking shelves and taking inventory. Ignoring the obvious incorrect distinction of a "customer" why would you tie up 2 of the 3 available "spots" in the store with non-customers and forcing your paying customers to wait on you? If I'm the manager, and I'm concerned about sales at my store, I'm stepping out of there and allowing my customers to shop, and stocking the shelves while there's no one waiting. But that's just me. He also ignored the fact that the distributor wasn't wearing his mask, as required. I try to avoid this store at all costs, but it's the closest grocery store to my home and sometimes I'm forced to pop in t there. But I'll try harder to avoid that going forward. read more

This is a very nice, super clean store. There's always enough cashiers -- rarely have to wait in line, line most other stores. The will take you to your car with an umbrella on a rainy day. Who does that? Excellent customer service. I love the sales too. 3 day and 4 day sales with super specials. I rarely miss one because the deals are too good to pass up. read more

Good way to get sick not watching expiration dates and moldy produce. Some Giant Eagles produce isn't real great either depending on which store. I'm sorry but you shouldn't have to go to a high end store and pay more money just to get a fresh head of cauliflower! Why is it so difficult for the employees to check expiration dates! Fruit and vegetables are not fresh. Often don't last a couple of days. Over ripe oranges, moldy strawberries, over ripe melons, and often poor quality. Bakery items - brought hot cross buns today (3/12/19) with sell by 3/15/19. Stale. Poor variety supermarket. Always out of stock of Apple Fritters in the afternoon. A basic supermarket at best. Quality has really gone down hill in the last year or so. read more

I work close by to this Shop N Save and am always running in the store over my lunch break. So here's what I like... -Easy to navigate parking lot (vs. the insanity that is the Giant Eagle Cranberry's parking lot) -Awesome salad bar (that costs $1 less per pound than Giant Eagle) -Friendly sales associates -Lots of checkout lanes always open (unlike Giant Eagle's long waits that force you to use the self check out) Unfortunately, the negative with this grocery store is that they just don't offer the selection that Giant Eagle does. When you're looking for new and popular products - such as Skinny Pop, Boom Chicka Pop, Evol - or even variety within a brand that they carry - such as Fage - the store doesn't quite deliver. I also dislike having to drive all the way to the opposite end of the center, waiting at a stop sign, and then waiting at a stop light to head east on Freedom Road. Even though I can get in and out of this store very quickly, it can take another five minutes just to get out of the shopping center and on my way again. read more

Composite: I like the openness of this store, isle access, deli, cake/pastry, vegetables -- New, bright, very clean -- meat area has folk who are knowledgeable about their products. Small eatery on the right side when one comes in. Choice of big/regular carts or smaller ones -- nice feature. Flowers available. Big parking lot. I prefer this store to the GE structures as they have become hard to navigate with so much stuff (same comment about the Super Walmarts as well). But what I like most is that the check out area is always staffed properly. I doubt I've ever had to wait more that one minute before a lane was ready. Staff stand out of their area making sure people come to them as they approach checkout. This is so unlike Walmart which penalizes one for wanting a staff person to be at a register. f8 and be there. read more

I'm reading the other reviews..especially Josh N and Kim H.... All I have to say is "GET A LIFE Jesus...its a grocery store. Its NOT Giant Eagle, you won't find the billions of items that the Grocery Monopoly of Pittsburgh has and Josh...this is a "ma and pa" place...the carts may get a bit "tattered" from use...as does your boyfriend. I am sick of Yelp reviewers acting like they are Reviewing a 5 Star Restaurant in Manhattan. Get over yourselves. This is a really nice place. read more

It made me give at least one star; I wanted to give them ZERO stars! They discriminate against people with disabilities. I was just asked to leave for not having a mask on. I can not wear one for medical reasons. The "mandate" in Pennsylvania says individuals who cannot wear a mask due to medical conditions are exempt and no medical documentation whatsoever is required. Does anybody know how to contact the store owner? I was told by corporate that my incident should have been reported to him/her but I wouldn't trust this manager to do anything ethical judging by the way he treated me. read more

Paid $5.99 for macadamia nut cookies made in their bakery. The cookies were dry and burnt, so I returned them. Apparently you need to have a receipt.. who keeps receipts for cookies? No receipt, no refund or exchange. The cookies were in their package, logo and all. Expiration date was still current. Honestly, I will never go to this local store again. I've been coming to this Shop 'N Save since it opened, around nine years ago. The store is pretty consistent, but it's definitely beginning to age, and not well. The entire store could be cleaner, and some of the carts are tattered from use. The vegetables section is relatively clean, but they don't seem to be of as high quality as Giant Eagle down the street, and the prices here aren't that much better. As others have said, there is less variety here. They carry carrot coins, carrot sticks, shredded carrots, and whole carrots; however they lack colored carrots (that's just one example). The butcher/seafood department is constantly running sales. So, what you're searching for meat-wise might not be affordable today, but it will be in a few weeks, especially if you're only looking for a single serving or two. I've gotten two portions of swordfish for $0.50, and two portions of salmon for $1.29. Chicken, sausage, steak, beef, and pork abound in a constant "5 for $20" deal. The meat in the 5 for 20 deal is hit or miss. If you go after 4 p.m, you can see how the meats in the 5 for 20 deal have been picked over, and these meats are definitely supposed to be used soon. I'm also not crazy about how they package cheese in with the raw meat. No complaints about their frozen and refrigerated sections. They do carry different types of orange juice (pulp, pulp-free, added calcium, etc). The bakery is relatively consistent. Everyone likes the cookies with the sprinkles on the outside edge and icing on the inside. Brownies are perfect. One time, I had a pack of cookies that was salty. I haven't noticed any gluten-free bakery items. I don't know if they exist or not. Shop 'n Save also has a lot of pre-prepared foods. Walking around, you can find fajita kits, pre-made steak/cheese/spinach pinwheels, stew kits, and chopped fruit throughout the store. Of course, these items are expensive (as expected), but sometimes it's nice to avoid doing dishes and standing there cutting up fruit. Small pharmacy section inside, but it's only for use after CVS closes. Nice floral selection; more variety here than Aldi or Wal-Mart; prices here less than Wal-Mart. This is my favorite grocery store. Good sales, reasonable prices on items not on sale, very friendly staff. The isles are clean and the produce is fresh. They carry organic produce/meat. The cafe upstairs is excellent, cheap breakfast and decent coffee. It also has a post office so I can get stamps or mail a package. I love the speedy and numerous check-out lanes. The cashiers are always cheerful and efficient. Parking is never a problem. read more

I purchase PA lottery tickets at this store every day. I had a winner yesterday. It was for $290 on the daily number. I took it back today to cash it in and I was told they could not cash it. There was nothing wrong with the ticket. It was a winner. I was told they did not have sufficient funds to pay me. It was $290.00 not $5,000 or some huge number. They are willing to take the payment immediately but a different story when it is time to pay. read more
