Got to give a shout out to this cute little market that still doubles coupons up to 99 cents. Too bad most newspapers don't come with coupons. My favorite Washington cherries were on sale for 99 cents A POUND. I grabbed 7 pounds and frankly thought they might be lower quality. Nope, sweet and firm and beyond yummy. Then I noticed they had Chambersburg peaches on sale before we left town for $1.49a pound. Grabbed some of those, again half expecting that despite the Chambersburg name, they would be mushy and flavorless. Wrong again, juicy with that nice peach smell, they are wonderful. If I lived nearby, this would be my store. Easy to get to both driving as well as the bus. Plus, this store has my favorite mustard, Nance. Every time I have shopped here, I have walked away happy. read more

This, for a supermarket, feels way undersized to be considered that. I have been in supermarkets this size before, but that was in the mid-80s, and I was a wee one. Even though the size was way below expectations, this place does serve it's purpose. You may not find everything that you are looking for, but it will have something to fill your need. Service was a bit slow as only one register was open and the person manning it was a bit underwhelmed at having to be there. I like this supermarket a lot. Yes, it is smaller than the typical mega stores but it has a good variety. I like their deli the most. Everything is fresh. What I like most is the friendliness of the staff. I was using my backpack to put my groceries in and safety precautions dictate I do the packing. The bagger opened my eggs and saw a cracked egg and got me another pack. I appreciate thoughtfulness and professionalism like this. read more

I enjoy my trips to Kuhn's Market for a variety of reasons. First of all, it is super convenient . Secondly, its a journey into my past when most grocery stores were set up like this and I would see neighbors encountering other neighbors who gladly took the time to find out how each other's families were doing This hometown feel is priceless... Thirdly, I usually find exactly what I need for just about the same amount of money I spend elsewhere. Like time traveling back to the sixties, this store barely meets the basics. Small, dingy, dated, and very limited in selection...but at least it's convenient and walkable for those in the surrounding area. Don't go looking for really fresh or exotic produce. The produce section is tiny and mostly prepackaged. Meat section? Also limited. The deli section is small, but friendly and efficient...again, it carries the basics. Checkout can be slow. If you're in the middle of making dinner or baking and need a quick missing ingredient, this is the place for a quick stop as long as you can use the express lane. Otherwise, it's worth the trip to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Wal-Mart or even Giant Eagle. Basic is okay and so is this Kuhns. read more

Kuhn's is the perfect grocery store for Bellevue! Staff are friendly and helpful and the store is small enough to navigate in a few minutes which makes it great for picking up weekly groceries. Always happy with the produce and fresh fruit selections--I even bought kale there last week. Deli is busy after work and for good reason. Fair prices and a big selection of meats, cheeses and side dishes. Grocery store is open til MIDNIGHT throughout the week (closes earlier on Sundays...9?) so you can run in for those last minute things. Kuhn's Market Bellevue, Pa Location This location has an UN-friendly staff and manager (Scott) who has no business sense or people skills, he needs to take some lessons from the manager on McKnight (Tony) who is professional and has excellent business etiquette, a very nice intelligent guy. The Kuhn's in Bellevue obviously think they have cornered the market since they are the only full service grocery store in the area. Their attitude toward their customers is as though they are insignificant, 'give me the money' and leave.. They show no appreciation for their customers no hello when you come to the counter no thank you when you make your purchase no smiles on anybody's face Very much unlike the sister store Kuhn's on McKnight Rd., a different caliber of people altogether. The clerks are friendly and personable they make you feel appreciated and you want to come back again. I live in the area of the Bellevue store but, I purchase as little as possible from them. Believe me when I tell you there are other people that I have talked to that echo the same sentiments. Their prices are not cheap in my opinion if you are going to pay for some over priced item you should get the level of service that should go with it. Could it be that Mr. Kuhn has so much money and so many customer they don't have to place any value on the people that trade with them? If this is so that is a dangerous attitude to take things could turn around and backfire and people will remember how they were treated. This same attitude is partly responsible for a lot of retail stores loosing customer's and eventually going out of business. Things may not be that drastic for Kuhn's but it will no doubt hurt their bottom line profit if that means anything to them read more

This is the closest grocery store to my home but I drive out of my way when I need food because they don't carry anything besides very basic food. They don't even have pesto. One day I went there & asked where I could find it, & no one in the store even knew what it was. I do eat a lot of foreign foods, but pesto is not some strange hard to find ingredient. It's also extremely small & 2 carts cannot fit side by side in the isles at the same time. Nothingnis organized the way most grocery stores are. This place makes me feel so frazzled & I only go there if I need to pick up milk or something simple like that. read more

Kuhn's is cheaper than the large Giant Eagle two miles away, but there isn't a lot of variety and you won't find any specialty items . The deli and meat selection is good and cheap--nearly half the price of the big bird. You can find most staple items here and they always double coupons. The produce aisle is humiliatingly sad. There is no bakery, but they do have fresh Mancini's bread in the mornings. A major annoyance is that you must pay cash for stamps and bus passes. read more

My mother and I always visit this store on our way from Route 65. My mother was in line and the machine that asked her did she want cash back; she said yes. She pushed for it to give her $10.00. The system only gave her 8.00 change instead of $10.00. My mother will watch her account just to make sure she is not being ripped off. We ask to speak to a manager. And she said yeah you have $8.00 I was like " What happened to the other $2.00?" . She was so unaware she was unable to understand her card machine was malfunctioning.. please fix this so the next person is getting an odd ball amount. read more

For a neighbor market, this place is great. Very friendly staff, good selection and great sales. Sure it's more expensive than your typical large grocery stores but that is to be expected. Make sure you pick up the flyer with their weekly sales and you can save a lot of money. Open until midnight which is great. read more

This store sucks beyond belief! Even though I live within walking distance of the store, I prefer to go to the Giant Eagle on Camp Horne or the Shop n Save on Perry Highway, but when I don't have a lot of time, I have no choice but to come here. First off, they rarely everything I'm looking for in stock and when they do, make sure to check the dates. I've gotten month-old expired milk here before and don't even get me started on the moldy Yoplait. Second of all, and more important, the service here is terrible. The employees here act like they are forced to work here, and if you are using a card, be prepared to slide it at least three of four times since the employees are too incompetent to eat anything right the first time. My advice to the employees: If you hate it here so much, quit and get a real job. You're not doing as any favors by staying here. This store is on par with about everything else in Bellevue, which isn't saying much. read more

In general I like Kuhn's Markets. This one however leaves much to be desired. The selection isn't the best and the management is crabby which effects all of the employees. Everyone just seems miserable with the exception of some of the front line cashiers. It's a joke in the neighborhood about how unfriendly they are. This is located in a small community and they do not even know the people that have shopped there every week for years, nor do they support community events. Other stores in the community know their customers by name. The store itself is not very inviting, kind of drab. On a positive note they do offer delivery service on certain days of the week for senior citizens. For a store that is not modern, not well stocked and just looks run down they really need to perk up the management to make it a friendly place to shop because it doesn't have much more going for it. I would say it's worth the drive to shop elsewhere. read more
