Cinder block walls, pressure treated supported roofs, you get the idea. Worked great! I was with skilled handlers, I'm not one, and we just followed the published rules, saw an employee canvassing the bays, but were largely left alone to use the facility. Felt like others respected the rules too, except one group that were doing something (don't know exactly but had to do with where they hung targets) and the were told to leave. There are motorcycle trails and tracks here too. We went with a member so that's how we could get it. Clean up after yourself and leave the bay how you found it and follow the rules for safety. Pretty easy.

While I've…read morenever been here (until last week) my family had accompanied them as guests throughout the years. I finally became a member ($275 for the year and a guest costs $15 per visit) and I couldn't be more excited to have a more local place to shoot. The membership includes multiple different outdoor ranges, the longest being out to 300 yards. My first trip after becoming a member was on a Wednesday after work. It was a beautiful day so I figured it would be busy on the range. We arrived around 5pm and there were no other cars. The range is separated from the main building entrance by an electronic gate that members scan to unlock. The gate opens providing you access to the range parking lot. There is a sign in sheet inside that you access from the back of the building. This is also the room you'd drop your money envelope in if you brought a guest. The ranges were clean and spacious. The rules are clear and easy to follow. There are also reminders of the rules posted in the ranges. We shot for an hour and enjoyed ourselves. My first visit was a very positive one and will beat driving an hour to get some range time in.

Used to love this place, but new policies and lack of transparency changed that…read more I'm writing this to help fellow shooters make an informed choice. I used to be a big fan of The Gun Range because of their friendly staff and their policy allowing outside ammo. As someone who buys in bulk from Cheaper Than Dirt, being able to bring my own rounds makes this hobby much more affordable. Unfortunately, my last visit with my son was a major disappointment: Shotgun Ammo Price Gouging: We brought a new Boss 25 to break in, only to be told we could no longer use outside shotgun ammo. They quoted me $48 for a box of 25 shells. For context, I buy 250 shells online for $86. That is a massive markup. Misleading Safety Claims: When I questioned the policy change, the manager claimed it was due to a fire caused by "faulty shotgun ammo" at another range. I looked this up while waiting; the fire she referenced was actually attributed to faulty air filtration, not ammo. Poor Customer Service: We bought two targets but only ended up using one. When I tried to return the unused, unrolled target, I was told it was "unreturnable" because it was rolled up--despite the fact that the clerk was the one who rolled it when selling it to us. A private business has every right to change its policies, but they should be honest about it. Don't hide behind safety excuses to justify inflated prices. They've lost my business and my trust.

Not only did we knock out the training and aptitude test quickly, Nate from Crosshair Tactics gave us individualized training based on our specific skill levels. Nate's expertise shines most if you ask questions on how he formed his opinions on home and self defense. He is VERY thoughtful of my personal context and conviction to protect my family and friends. The basics explained to my wife should be what all new shooters understand (critical safety education funded my our taxes). And the advanced content I received immediately improved my form going forward. I HIGHLY recommend contact Crosshair Tactics to shooters at all skill levels.

The few reviews accusing this place of racism or discrimination are completely unfounded. I will…read moreconcede that Steve, the owner, is an acquired taste. He is brash, unforgiving, and filterless. He says what he means and means what he says. Bluntly put... he isn't for everyone, especially those with dainty feelings. All that said, Steve is a good man that runs a tight ship. He matches energy and will give what he gets. I have frequented his establishment many times, and he has always treated me and my guests with respect, but make no mistake....he doesn't give a #$%@ what you think. The range is small and welcoming, and Steve is willing to share expert advice. This place is no frills. That works for some people and not for others. Steve can be accused of being a lot of things... racist is definitely not one of them. Anyone who has spent any time at Pistol People will agree.

Everyone was nice and welcoming. If you do decide to join, they have the 3, 6, 12 month options. You'll be paying the most if you go with three months, about $180 per month. Plus the initiation fee which is pricey. This is also Not factoring additional equipments you may need. If you're financially able to, I think it's worth the investment if you're looking for a new hobby or looking to try something new.
