While I've…read morenever been here (until last week) my family had accompanied them as guests throughout the years. I finally became a member ($275 for the year and a guest costs $15 per visit) and I couldn't be more excited to have a more local place to shoot. The membership includes multiple different outdoor ranges, the longest being out to 300 yards. My first trip after becoming a member was on a Wednesday after work. It was a beautiful day so I figured it would be busy on the range. We arrived around 5pm and there were no other cars. The range is separated from the main building entrance by an electronic gate that members scan to unlock. The gate opens providing you access to the range parking lot. There is a sign in sheet inside that you access from the back of the building. This is also the room you'd drop your money envelope in if you brought a guest. The ranges were clean and spacious. The rules are clear and easy to follow. There are also reminders of the rules posted in the ranges. We shot for an hour and enjoyed ourselves. My first visit was a very positive one and will beat driving an hour to get some range time in.

Take one rainy Saturday down the Jersey shore, and sprinkle in six friends on a girls weekend, and you will get a great memory to take away like an ornament on a Christmas tree. That's right, this is how we greeted RICK, all decked out in our matching pink shirts. I can only imagine his initial thought on the hoard of 50 year olds walking in the gun shop that day. His open mind to teach, inform, and educate us on proper gun handling and safety was not wasted. He took his time with each of us and the firearm of choice. He didn't stop there as he passed us off to fellow workers, DON and BETTY. They eased us into our shooting stalls, one with a 9 mm and one with a 22 caliber. Instructed our group to be each other's support system. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!! As much as the word shenanigans came up, we keep a professional demeanor in the range. We would never jeopardize anyone's safety or disrespect our teachers of the day. At the end of our time, Betty showed off the hatchet range with the delight. When I grow up, I wanna be Betty, a gun shooting ,hatchet throwing retiree. Giddie Up. Till next year Thanks for the memories.... The Berlin Besties Al, Jenn, Stef, Barb, Cyn, Jen

Used to love this place, but new policies and lack of transparency changed that…read more I'm writing this to help fellow shooters make an informed choice. I used to be a big fan of The Gun Range because of their friendly staff and their policy allowing outside ammo. As someone who buys in bulk from Cheaper Than Dirt, being able to bring my own rounds makes this hobby much more affordable. Unfortunately, my last visit with my son was a major disappointment: Shotgun Ammo Price Gouging: We brought a new Boss 25 to break in, only to be told we could no longer use outside shotgun ammo. They quoted me $48 for a box of 25 shells. For context, I buy 250 shells online for $86. That is a massive markup. Misleading Safety Claims: When I questioned the policy change, the manager claimed it was due to a fire caused by "faulty shotgun ammo" at another range. I looked this up while waiting; the fire she referenced was actually attributed to faulty air filtration, not ammo. Poor Customer Service: We bought two targets but only ended up using one. When I tried to return the unused, unrolled target, I was told it was "unreturnable" because it was rolled up--despite the fact that the clerk was the one who rolled it when selling it to us. A private business has every right to change its policies, but they should be honest about it. Don't hide behind safety excuses to justify inflated prices. They've lost my business and my trust.

The big plus for me is that the…read morepeople I dealt with were very nice and did not have that typical gun range attitude that you're likely to find. I saw them interacting with people that were clearly first time shooters and they seemed very nice and helpful. As someone that was clearly experienced, they didn't ask me a lot of questions, and just gave me the information on their range protocol and I was good to go. I went on a weekend and it does get busy. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a lane, which really isn't that bad. I appreciated the fact that you can bring your own ammo with a few restrictions such as in rounds, tracer, steel, core, etc. Nothing too over-the-top, and all very reasonable. I did not buy any ammo there, so I can't comment on the prices. The range rental fees are for as long as you like to shoot, which is very nice. They have a number of handguns and long guns for rent, the only restriction there is you must use their ammo and you must have at least two people... For some reason, they will not rent a firearm to single shooters. The shooting positions are a little narrow, but are absolutely fine for two people. There is not much room behind each position, especially if there are many people on the range, so keep that in mind. It is good to note that since they allow a wide range of calibers, you may find yourself on a line with people shooting long rifles and large caliber handguns. If you're a first time shooter, or don't like it crowded, I would strongly recommend going during the week. They have extended hours until 9 PM every day, but Sunday, which is great. The Saturday that we went the range was completely full, and some shooters were shooting large caliber rifles, as well as a few people had full auto or maybe they rented them. It's definitely a little overwhelming if you're not prepared for it!

An absolute gem for shooters of all levels!…read more Cedar Creek Sporting Clays is hands down one of the best shooting experiences I've had. The course is beautifully maintained, with a great mix of stations that are both fun and challenging. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a beginner just getting started, there's something here for everyone. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and really passionate about what they do. From check-in to the last shot, they made sure everything ran smoothly. The variety in the course layout keeps things interesting--woods, open fields, and even a tower station to test your skills. The throwers were all in excellent working order, which isn't always the case at other places. We rented a cart (highly recommend), which made it easy to move through the course and enjoy the scenic property. There's also a nice clubhouse to relax in before or after shooting. Whether you're out for a casual day with friends or tuning up for competition, Cedar Creek hits the mark. Can't wait to go back!

What a fun experience!…read more My better half and I purchased a gift certificate for my father to Cedar Creek Sporting Clays for some skeet shooting shenanigans. The four of us went on the most perfect Saturday in July (no rain nor wind, which is paramount for optimal skeet shooting conditions). The facility was a bit of a hike from the Cherry Hill area (about an hour) but the ride was smooth and stress-free. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed getting kisses upon our arrival from their sweet dog Shelby. The skeet course has about 14 stations and you can stay at each one for as long (or as short) as you like. They provide you with a golf cart for ease of course navigation. Their system is completely wireless - you are able to fire-off the clay disks with a remote controller. This device also keeps track of how many rounds you've fired. This is the type of place that you can spend an hour at, or nearly the entire day. The staff encourages you to visit each skeet station, as some are more challenging than others. We found ourselves to be happy at station 20 and we stayed put. Next time we'll navigate the entire course. They're open 7 days a week and they welcome novice shooters up to seasoned pros. You are welcomed to pack food and soft drinks (no alcohol of any kind is permitted) and you can buy water and soft drinks inside for $1. Bathrooms are located in the main area. We had so many laughs - we can't wait to return!
