You are able to get up to 3 broths but I just got the original pork bone broth and the spicy one. They have a sauce bar with appetizers, a fried food section, and then hotpot toppings such as vegetables, noodles, and meat. They have a dessert section as well. The meat quality was decent, nothing exceptional. I would say that my experience here is average. 4 cuts of meat does not feel worth the value of how much you are paying for all you can eat here. I feel like I would have a different perception if I did à la carte instead

About: Shoo Loong Kan, which translates to "Little Dragon Ridge," is derived from a location in the Shapingba district of Chongqing, an area characterized by mountainous landscapes resembling a dragon. The traditional Chongqing hotpot originated from this region approximately 100 years ago and is also known as Chongqing Xiao Long Kan Hotpot. Established in 2014, every menu item at Shoo Loong Kan Hotpot is meticulously crafted to be both visually appealing and authentically delicious. The restaurant maintains its business principle of "flavors from the soul, quality with integrity." My friend took my boyfriend and I here since we were on the way to Buccees but wanted to eat some dinner that wasn't BBQ-related (we had a lot during our weekend visit). We shared a 3 soup base and I'd say my favorite was the house special, but the golden chicken was good too. The mala was super spicy so it was a tad painful to eat but if you can handle spice well, you may enjoy this. You order on a tablet and they have a station with snacks, DIY sauce, and a freezer with ice cream for dessert. We ordered the combo but added various other items plus golden fried buns. We had a lot of food for 3 so we came away with leftovers. Our waitress checked in on us regularly and the ingredients came out quickly. There is a large but busy parking lot.

Probably the best hotpot in Dallas. Fresh food, great flavor, I've been here about 8 times. It's a great spot for groups too. The staff are really nice and the service is fast.

Great hot pot! We did the late night pricing after 8pm so it was quite affordable. Broths were great! I didnt personally have any issue with the food, but about 3 people in our group of 8 got food poisoning the next day unfortunately. Might be because of the late night visit--we had all come before during normal hours without issue! Would still recommend!

Hi, my name is Pauline and I'm a hot pot junkie. It's actually gotten to the point where the staff has started to recognize me and my husband. When they said "welcome back" to us I just knew I had a problem. Shoo Loong Kan is actually my favorite hot pot in the DFW metroplex. I don't like to mention other restaurants in my reviews but I love Haidilao but don't love their prices. Shoo Loong Kan is very similar to Haidilao but cheaper! I love their spicy mala beef tallow broth. It packs so much flavor and burns so good. My husband loves their tomato broth. They have a great selection of good quality menu items and a stacked sauce bar.

Awesome food, awesome hostess who help us with the menu. After 8:30pm, they offer 20% off. Dessert is HAAG Daaz. Broth has many choices, you can do either Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese Pho, Japanese broth and choose your ingredients, protein and veggies. Place can be very busy. Will definitely come back.

Broth, service, quality of ingredients, vibe, interior... Shoo Loong Kan is probably #1 in vibes and ambience and also up there in terms of service and quality of ingredients. My friend and I love hot pot, so we came this past weekend, and I think this location is even better than the one in Chicago. It's so clean, and our waitress was so attentive despite how busy she was. She came to fill up our water multiple times and even gave me a hairtie and an apron. She also gave us a rundown of the menu and handed us some really cute freebies at the end! It happened to be the 15th day after CNY, and everyone got little bowls of tangyuan, which is such a thoughtful touch. Broth is pretty good, but it's not my favorite in the city. However, that doesn't really matter because their sauce bar is stacked and you can make a top notch sauce with their ingredients. Everything is really high quality. The meat comes out beautifully. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and it actually makes you feel as if you're sitting in a restaurant in China. 10/10 would come again. This has become one of my favorite hot pot spots in the city!

I see the hype now. I don't really like hot pots that charge per item because with so many all you can eat with excellent quality, it's hard to compete. However, this place has quality proteins and choices. The soup options are excellent! I came with a girl friend of mine and we enjoyed everything. Here's what we got: 3 flavour pot : the choices we got were the golden chicken broth, mushroom, and the medium spicy hot house mala beef broth. The mala beef broth was still extremely spicy even in medium so if you cannot handle spicy, just don't order this. If you can handle spicy, I'd still suggest getting the slightly spicy. This coming from a girl who LOVES spicy food and grew up in Malaysia. From all the choices, the golden chicken broth is the best. I love the flavor. All the meats are good. I recommend the lamb and ribeye. They are well marbled! The veggie selections were just okay but I do wish they would sell enoki mushrooms. I skipped seafood for now but they do have a lot of selections and look pretty fresh. I cannot comment now but I may update if I do try it. Now, they do charge you for sauces which is like $3. This is common in Asia but not really in the US so I was pretty... shock but not too bothered since the practice of charging you for every little thing is something I know too well. All in all, it's a great place for delicious hot pot.

Finally trying the richardson location and their new specials. We got the spicy soup, chicken, and guizhou soup which were all so tasty and flavoral. The a5 wagyu was my favorite meat! It literally melts in your mouth. The workers were nice. They have a sauce bar that comes with icecream at the end. We came around 6:30 on a thursday and there wasnt much of a wait but be sure to make a reservation still just in caseB

Amazing Hot Pot Experience! I had such a great time at Shoo Loong Kan! The soup bases were incredibly flavorful -- the spicy broth had the perfect kick, while the creamy bone broth was rich and comforting. Every ingredient was fresh, from the beef slices to the handmade noodles. I especially loved how the servers helped with cooking tips and kept everything clean and organized. The dipping sauces were also fantastic and customizable, which made every bite taste different. It's the perfect place to go with friends -- cozy atmosphere, fun experience, and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend if you love authentic Sichuan hot pot!

Took my mom for her birthday dinner and we hadn't set anything up with the restaurant but I assumed that maybe when we walked in with the bouquet of roses the staff realized it was a special occasion! The attention to detail and the service was so amazing they made sure we had everything we needed and the orders came out sooooo fast. The soup bases were great, we got bone broth, golden chicken and tomato. Our clear winner was the golden chicken it was super flavorful and rich! We definitely indulged and enjoyed everything. I really loved that the menu also had already cooked things as well. Sauce bar is always a plus at hot pot and I thought the selection was pretty decent. It's not as extensive as other dfw spots but I built my usual sauce so I was satisfied. One thing I'd love to mention is that this restaurant is large party accessible! We had 6 people so normally that's a booth or a round table but the seats were three booth benches basically and it allowed entry and exit on both sides so we never had to wait for someone to scoot over which was absolutely amazing, especially if you wanted to get more from the sauce/small appetizers bar.

Great value there - Fairly large vegetable/noodle/etc bar - Waiters were incredibly attentive - All meats tasted high quality CONS: - No true "sauce bar"--I kind of tried to replicate my usual combo using the salad supplies and sauces - The meats are clearly made for either the grill or the pot 80% of the time with very few that can do both. For example, pork belly (grill) is different from THIN pork belly (pot). Beef belly worked best in the pot. Chicken worked best on the grill. Etc - Beef broth I got for my hotpot was decent but worse than most pork bone broths I default to For the same price as Seapot, I'd still personally prefer Seapot. But I think this place does best a lot of competition like Nan and Hai Di Lao. Give it a try for sure.

We liked the meats and other items we ordered, but we found the soup base lacking. We ordered the pork bone soup base and it tasted quite bland, smelling more like pork than it tasted like pork. If the robot could get a little closer to the table, I am sure the guests would be able to retrieve food while seated. Overall, we had a good time, but would rather go to nearby Seapot or Haidilao.

We heard this place just opened and wanted to compare! The Good: - You get a good amount for your $. I got a lot more pork than I was expecting compared to other places - I enjoy ordering off of the iPad - There was a nice large waiting area if you had to wait - We didn't try them, but they had a very large drink variety (fruit teas, yogurt drinks, sodas, alcohol etc) and some cute looking bingsu The Eh (because nothing was truly bad): - The robot that brought our orders would stop just far enough away that someone needed to stand up to get them - The tables were uncomfortable, as someone tall with thicker thighs. It was a tight squeeze for my legs and no back support. I'm 5'10" and about 175 lb - Our soup base was odd. I don't like spice which is why we always get pork bone, but this didn't taste like the others. In fact it was nearly flavorless? - I usually make a ponzu based sauce but made it with vinegar because there was no ponzu. I don't know what type of vinegar this was but it tasted off and I didn't enjoy it as much as usual - On that note, the sauce bar costs $3 apiece. Similar to Hai Di Lao, but not included like in AYCE places. Hai Di Lao also has a sauce bar with more variety -- this felt more limited with a lot of duplicates - slight irk but the robot went around loudly blasting APT by Rose ( a song I do like ) at max volume and in 2-3 pieces lol - I had trouble getting a waitress's attention to pay the check. I even pressed the call button on the iPad twice but eventually had to flag someone down after about 10 minutes My overall experience: it was alright. Not one of my area favorites and far from cheapest, but I wouldn't say it was bad and I wouldn't protest at returning. I think they may struggle to compete with Seapot next door which is phenomenal. NOTE ALSO: the parking lot is way smaller than seapot's. We arrived just before 6 pm on a Friday night. I'd say about half an hour later it got really busy and would've been hard to find proper parking.
