I then asked them where else I might be able to get it fixed. The suggestion that I got was "just cut off the strap with the buckle attached, as nobody would notice"!!! My $200 boots which I'd just bought last year?!?! I ended up taking my boots to another shoe repair shop in downtown...and they repaired it for me in less than 10 mins for $20.
