They price their shoes $20.00+ over retail and run adds for $15.00 in the paper. It's a dishonest means to attract customers. Their older, discontinued shoes that are sold in other stores on clearance for half off are sold at theirs for same $20.00 over retail. You need to look at prices at other stores and you will see that you will always save money elsewhere. You cannot return shoes for your money back, regardless. No matter what the situation they will only give you credit and they do not inform you if this when you purchase the shoes. I don't know how they're still open. read more

This shoe store overcharges and then offers a 15% discount. I paid $ 200 less 15% and could not return them although they were poor quality. They would not accept my return because it was 7 months later. I had left Naples as we are winter residents so did not return them until December. The shoes were old and they became shabby after wearing them only a few times. The rhinestone ornament fell off of both shoes. I contacted the wholesaler and they said the shoe sold at $80 and was at least 6 years old. read more

Just bought a pair of Birkenstocks...my size wasn't in stock so they were ordered... In the meantime I them saw for significantly less but decided to support a local business and not argue the price. I did see a 15% coupon in the paper prior to picking them up..which the sales lady omitted to mention...I asked about using the coupon and was told I could not use it as I had already paid...for the sake of less than $20, they will never get buy business again !!!! read more

This organization is practicing fraudulent sales practices.. they never told me the price until after they swiped my card .. I almost had a coronary.. $370 for a pair of Florsheim shoes that were $138 on the vendors site .. I contacted the credit card company and filed a fraudulent complaint and contacted Florsheim to outline their fraudulent activities .. they are unscrupulous people who take advantage of people particularly older people.. their BBB ranking is F .. I will be exploring the possibilities of boycotting this store through picketing once I can get the required permits.. I will not rest until they either change their approach or get out of business.. I also contacted the Florida Attorney Generals Office to explore options .. Checked Mephisto's official website when I got home to look for another design and their official regular price is $280 for the same shoe. I was overcharged $120 and they justify it by their service. Not sure why so many negative reviews. Went there yesterday and purchased a pair of Birkenstocks. Received wonderful service. I was even given a discount coupon towards my purchase and spent less for these shoes then if I had purchased them online. I think people need to do price searches before making ANY purchase ANYWHERE. I recommend this place. Went in there today to just look around. As soon as I walked in a lady came out and asked if I needed help. I told her no, I was just looking, that I had never been in there before. She explained to me that the shoes with the red dots were on clearance. Well, none of the shoes had prices on them. I actually thought they carried Birkenstocks, which they don't. She came up a few minutes later and asked if I had found anything I liked. Told her again, nicely, that I was just looking and trying to use up some time before I met someone. She then asked if she could show me a brand new item that had just come out, I told her, no thank you and then I decided to leave. I said thank you, have a nice day and left. I will not shop somewhere where they keep pestering you. I was there to look around and I felt like she was following me around the store. Did not appreciate that at all. Don't ever shop at this place. Makes you think they're a nice family-run store, but they are crooks. Prices are not listed on the shoes, then they pretend they are giving you a good deal by giving you a coupon but you're still getting ripped off. Made an impulse buy, totally unlike me to do so, and later found the same pair of shoes online for literally $50 cheaper. I purchased a pair of shoes and and sandals that they had to order. The first day the I wore the shoes the heals disintegrated $259.00 pair. They claim that they were sitting in the store for a year and the heat got to them. Explaining that if you left a car out in the heat the tires would disintegrate??? The Sandals I had to pay for and they can't deliver after they told me it would be about 5 days, It is now 3 weeks. Excuses,Excuses, It is on the truck, the business got sold.,it should be in any day now. They hid in the back room and I went in to get the owner to no avail. I have no sandals and they wont give me a credit off my charge. I wanted to use them in Florida and dont need them in Mass as it is 20% there. On Saturday, November 29, 2014, my wife, went to The Shoe Warehouse, 933 Airport Rd. South, Naples to purchase a pair of shoes. At the checkout counter she was rushed through and signed the register receipt without special notice. Once home, on Sunday morning, she noticed the credit card charge of $583.00 for a single pair of shoes. Being sure there was a mistaken credit card entry (neither of us had ever seen a single pair of shoes costing $583.00) she returned to the store on Monday, December 1, 2014. Once at the store she spoke with the manager and was informed there was no mistake, the shoes she purchased do in fact cost $583.00. At that point she returned the unworn shoes and all packaging and was given a hand written note saying she has a store credit equal to the price of the shoes. The shoes were never worn, all packing material was returned the next business day. We cannot imagine a pair of shoes costing that much and would never have purchased them. My wife is seventy years old and is very upset over this, we cannot afford this expense. The store owner was rude and condescending. We believe the store management is simply taking advantage of an elderly woman, using a technicality, to pad their bottom line, at her expense. read more

I called and they flat out refuse to credit my card even though I have not received the shoes. I did not reply which prompted him to say "maybe you should shop at K-Mart." I replied that maybe I should and gathered my wife to leave. Where to start. Shoes are not priced? I'm told the prices are on the boxes which are in the storage room. Pardon me, did I hear that correctly the "prices are on the boxes in the inventory room and not on the shoes on display"? I pick up a shoe and have to ask the price for everyone? I told the ageing hippie anti service clerk right from Haight Ashbury that the no price policy was beyond strange and he responded that I'm rather sensitive. Other than occasionally on Valentines Day I've seldom been referred to as "sensitive". I must say I've been in literally hundreds of shoe stores from Rodeo Drive to Fifth Avenue and this is the first one that keeps the consumer in the dark by concealing the price of the goods sold or in my case not sold. Could Shoe Warehouse know something Nordstroms, Macys and all the multinationals don't? Turns out Nordstroms has a winning formula by pricing their goods because I immediately went there and bought 3 pairs....two more that what I was looking for and guess what....all the items were priced and they thanked me for stopping by. The owners of SHOE WAREHOUSE are likely sales tax evaders since they don't put sales tax on their receipts, and it appears that they offer some customers a cash price without sales tax!!! Wonder what the State of FL would think about this. They are blatantly taking advantage of customers by not pricing anything in the entire store, just whatever they think the person will pay, I suppose. I, unfortunately, fell for their deception and purchased a $550+ pair of shoes that were recommended by the woman who also recommended I take them home and try them, only in my house, to see if the shoes would work for my foot and knee pain. When I brought the shoes back less than 16 hrs later I WAS REFUSED A REFUND and told the store policy was store credit only. I was shocked since the owner had recommended that I take the shoes. The store credit policy was taped to the top of the cluttered counter and the box of shoes I was purchasing was sitting on top of the store credit policy, so I never saw it and I told the woman and man that own Shoe Warehouse that I should have been told about the credit-only-policy since the woman had recommended I take the shoes. I told them I would have walked out and not purchased if she'd told me that. She said she was insulted!!!! I told them, NO, I'm the one who is insulted and you're rip-off artists.
