I called from home (2000 miles away) and told the manager about it. She ordered a replacement pair for me and held them for several months until I returned and exchanged the old pair. I am still wearing the second pair, plus I bought it in a different color on that trip. One time, I asked about a style of Naots that I had and love and knew had been discontinued. She pointed me to the clearance section of the where there were sandals with the same footbed as my favorite. Eureka! Two pairs, in two different colors in my size.

I doubt I will need to worry about the return policy (I love what I bought). I left with a totally cool, comfortable and incredible pair of turquoise blue Mephisto wedge style sandals and a pair of black comfortable and stylish sandals. Yes the shoes were expensive - but, the same prices that you would pay for same product on line (I checked). No more online shoe shopping for me!

This is a very unethical store with unbelievably rude owner and sales people. Never go here because you will regret it.

The lady told us that she is from Florence, Italy. And so she is a real shoe expert. My wife found a pair of reduced sandals. The lady stated that these are better than Birkenstocks, as we told her being from Germany and loving Italy, specially the Tuscany region. The price was reduced from $150 to some 80 Dollars. Quite interesting shoes, we chatted about italian shoes and then the saleswoman said that germans only want cheap, cheap and cheap. And they do have all broken feet of all the cheap shoes. The shoes my wife shows interests in had a footbed, that loosens in a one inch region. "Oh that's no problem" the saleswomen told us. "You're standing on it - that's ok". This is not ok! I'm not happy when somebody who wants to sell me something tells me i only want it cheap. Cheap is the attitude of that saleswoman. Poor how she talks to customers. Sorry lady - you should be fired and replaced by someone with respect to others. And 80 Dollars for something defect - no way! You may try that in Florence, but even there i would not accept that. As a young teenager I used to love coming to look at the evening gowns and dreaming about wearing one! I wanted nothing more than to try on every single one and sashay around the store! I've never had a problem with customer service...they've always been pretty welcoming and helpful. They were always very attentive to what specifically you were looking for and trying to help in the best way possible. Oh, and I'm not sure if they still do this, but whenever you'd buy something they'd send you a personalized note in the mail. I always thought it was a really nice touch...they'd remember my name (which I'm sure is in a database, but whatever), and things we talked about like school/work or my home life back in Ohio. One was sort of like this: "Hi Jackie! Thanks for coming in to Marissa Collections recently, and I hope you're loving your Valentino clutch! I mean, there are very exclusive brands sold here. They have very fancy dresses, shoes, the works. They have more down to earth pieces as well. The staff was all over us offering help, assistance, recommendations, etc. This always irks me, no matter what store I am at. The pricing probably made me blush. I saw a casual dress I liked and it was $900. That was probably the least expensive price tag I looked at. It turns out we walked in the store about two minutes before they closed. We were there maybe 20 minutes and no one rushed us, which was nice. We didn't realize when they closed.

Some of the brand names I saw included Louis Vuitton, Coach, Kate Spade, Prada, Chanel, and a large selection of Lily Pulitzer. The owner Bonnie was very friendly and she explained to me how the pricing works. Clothing is priced based on how long it is in the shop. A Patricia Nash purse I liked was priced at $129 but if it is still here in December it will sell for $90. If you can't make it to the store in person the Designer Consignor Consignment has an Instagram account you can follow that features some of their best items including that turquoise leather purse. Another adorable bag that caught my eye was beaded to look like a watermelon making it the perfect summer picnic outfit accessory. There is a dressing room area in the back of the store so you can try on clothes. They also sell shoes and other accessories. You can bring in your gentle used and mint designer items to sell for a split of the profits.
