The purse was only slightly used, when two of the three screws fell out of the clasp, rendering the purse unusable. When I went into Marilyn's to see if they could repair the purse or replace the special screws, I was told they no longer deal with the vendor in Italy, therefore could not get the screws. Marilyn suggested that she would give me $150.00 toward the purchase of another purse which cost $300.00 so I could use the screws in both purses as needed - how ludicrous! Marilyn's staff treats customers nicely when spending money, but treats customers horribly when service is needed. Honestly based on the horrible reviews, (which I wish I had read before shopping at Marilyn's) I am surprised that this store is still in business!

I found El Ranchito through Google (didn't look at reviews, just wanted to see if they only carried boots like some western wear places do). We stopped over today shortly after opening (11am as per google) but their sign read that they open at noon. No problem. Just know they open around noon. Place is small, but packed with neat stuff. Good stuff. (I'm not a huge western wear person, but grew up in a small farm town and know a thing or two about what to look for in a decent thread.) El Ranchito had a big selection and the quality of their product was really decent. Not like last-forever quality but pretty decent. Prices were fair in the current economy. I'd really recommend taking a look if you like anything western or are trying to make a costume. The staff were super nice. Not fake nice like most people working in retail. They seemed happy, which means a lot to me when I stop into any place. They keep their shop clean and cool. There's a dressing room. It's really chill in there. Check it out.

I have this huge list of things it has to do/be, and a list of things it can't be. Support, but not stiff, sexy/classy without being trashy, fun without looking like I'm trying to look 20, making sure it covers all the areas I need covered without looking matronly....you know what I'm talking about ladies... :) There are so many cute things in this store- suits, cover ups, dresses, hats....all things you would need for a cruise or a vacation at a beach house. The prices aren't cheap, but you aren't getting cheap product here. And, to be fair, it isn't that much more than other places. The customer service is phenomenal. I had one lady helping me, with a couple more assisting her, and the woman in the changing room across from me- well, we were critiquing each other's outfits too! Lol.
