Located near Costco, this sports store is what we needed. For years we had another sports store but it had many problems This has been opened for a few years now. You basic sports and work out needs plus more. There is also camping equipment, toys. It is a large self standing box retail space with all the brand names you expect and the high prices to go with them Like Nike, adidas, etc They have a rewards club that is free to join however I've never gotten anything from it. I am sure they do send out coupons though. I don't subscribe online. Staff is young as expected, not very knowledgeable but nice. Check out is not bad for the season. They do have clearance in the back areas if you search. read more

My bike has beenin their shop for a few days... repair should not have taken more than 1 day, or so they said... now it's been delay after delay because "other bikes were ahead of mine" or the technician didn't show or whatever excuse. I would not recommend their repair service. Plenty of other options around. read more

I speak with my dad several times a week and over the last few years I've learned he hired a cleaning service to help him keep up with the monumental task of running a household and being the sole caretaker to three demanding women. Two of these three women are spoiled rotten pooches living their lives of leisure. I get that and fully support it. The other is his disabled wife who, more often than not, can just look at something in a room and have that room instantly come online as a FEMA disaster zone. I don't support that nearly as much but have learned it's HIS problem. Not mine. Anyways, nearly everybody living in the town he lives in is never from Florida but a transplant from some other place. His cleaning lady is from Ohio and proudly displays her Buckeye love. I can't support that even though Urban Meyer is a phenomenal coach and doing the same thing for THE Ohio State University as he did for the Florida Gators-bringing in national titles, conference titles, butts in the seats, and high rankings every year. I'm sure the Buckeye Nation is strong and students receive a top notch education in every area of study. However, the term 'student athlete' is an oxymoron to any college ball fan and every year I grow more convinced that if the schools put a single ounce of learning anything beyond football into player education then some of these kids could put together a 140 character tweet that was spelled correctly. * I digress. I'm a pot stirrer. I will always seek to cause some friction, lovingly crafted, of course. What better way to engage in a discussion than to get some Michigan apparel for my dad to wear the day the Buckeye lady visits? What fun! Could it be done? We'd have to go to Dick's and find out. These stores are tricky, one has no trouble finding branded merchandise for local teams but the store cannot possibly hold every item for every fan base at every store. I knew I could find something online but half the fun of this quest was the Mission Impossible theme on a loop in my brain. Upon asking the first employee I saw if they had any Michigan Wolverine love going on in store she pointed to the clearance section rather disinterestedly and off I marched. And I searched through every rack and item, hopes being quashed a little further with every Seminole, Gator, Ray, and Buccaneer item I scanned and discarded. Could it be, something way in the back that couldn't POSSIBLY be the right shade of blue. Or could it? No. Wait was it? Nooooo, WAIT!!! YES!!! The navy blue t and that telltale bright yellow M was THERE! In the store. All by it's lonesome and on clearance for $13. I snagged it. Deemed it appropriately sized and off I went to pay feeling like I'd just won the Powerball. The lady did not visit during my tenure there but I am really looking forward to the phone call telling me all about the inevitable confrontation. I will hear the laughter in dad's voice and know his eyes are all crinkled up and twinkling. That's really why I stirred the pot. I enjoy these type things with my dad. Nice, I'm the first to review....lucky me :). The store is huge and new and pretty. There are so many things to look at and purchase. On that note, I'll go into my experience... I purchased around $300 in workout clothing. I returned the next day to exchange a size, and was told I couldn't just make an exchange- I actually had to purchase the items again online at their store, and they would send it in 5 days to my home. What? I've never experienced that before. On top of that, since the same items weren't the same price online, they couldn't just credit the difference to my card, they gave me an in store credit! So odd.... Then the worst thing came on top of all the other stuff.... I happened to use a debit card that I haven't used before. When I gave the girl the card to process my online payment, she said her computer wasn't working, so we had to use one in the golf department. While she's putting the information in, the person whom the computer belonged to- an older gentleman, was standing behind us the whole time just watching us. Not working....watching. I didn't think much of it until the next day when I checked my account online. Someone had stolen my debit card info and purchased a subscription to OurTime.com! It's a dating site for people over 50. I'm married and 42, so it was not me! The IP address went back to Dicks! I called my bank and cancelled the card, and then called the manager... A Mr. Sawyer, and he pretty much blew me off and defended his employees. Never apologized or say he'd look into it. I will not return. Be aware that there are thieves who will steal your credit card info working in this store! Pay cash only or don't shop here! read more

Dicks Sporting Goods obviously doesn't need local business. I was trying to order a kayak with all accessories, paddle, seat, cooler etc. The store sells person in that department was rude and had no idea that they even offered that particular kayak. When I called the 1(877) 846-9997 number to inquire why I was being changed shipping since they state on their website "free shipping over $49" the guy on the phone was quite rude and hung up on me! Mind you my order would have been over $1200 I can order directly from the company that is located in Sweden. They over free shipping and 15% of the whole order. After being closed for few weeks do to the epidemic, I wanted to order locally to make sure stores in my city stay open. Clearly Dicks dose not care. Horrible customer service! read more

I attempted to purchase a new pair of shoes at store #68 in Naples, FL. The employees on the floor in the shoe department were AWESOME! However, after waiting for over 15 minutes to try on the shoes, I approached the manager explaining how long I had been waiting and supposedly he only assigned one "runner" to retrieve the shoes from the back to accommodate a very busy shoe department. He wanted to explain the reason why but I admittedly walked away out of frustration, he then chuckled. There were so many patrons waiting to try on shoes and while waiting, I observed 3 employees asking the manager for additional "runners" and he refused. After I complained, another customer addressed the manager with the same complaint. As I was putting my old shoes back on, he then decides to assign more runners. I went to another Dick's store located in Estero to purchase the shoes and I received quick and efficient service. I would recommend the manager listen to his employees when they are making suggestions to help improve customer satisfaction. I will never visit store #68 again. I want to stress my comments only pertain to the store manager. The department employees were helpful and extremely apologetic. read more

Bought a great queen size air bed here on sale from $129 for $89. 3 weeks later the same bed was on sale for $49. An additional mark down. My sister bought the same bed at this sale price and called me to say they would honor my receipt and I would get an additional discount. I misplaced the receipt but hey saw it on my credit card. So the original price for the bed at $129 I did end up paying only $49 for. I think this is great and they won me over for a steady customer. Thank you Dick's Sporting Goods!! I had one of my best customer experiences, ever, for any retailer, today, at DICK'S. I went to the Naples location to buy some merchandise using a gift certificate from my daughter. At the cashier when I tried to use it the card came up denied. Long story short the store manager (Jen Amiss) came to help and called DICK'S corporate offices. It was clear from listening to the conversation she was not getting anywhere after talking to a manager or two about resolving the issue. After waiting patiently for 10 minutes she basically hung up on corporate, after they put her on a long hold. She proceeded to give me a new gift card and I completed the purchase. I asked her what happened and she said corporate was not real helpful at the time and out of consideration for me waiting she decided to act and honor the card. She said she'd deal with corporate later. In the age of Amazon where buying online is easy, retailers really need to excel in customer service to keep their market share; Jen exceeded all my expectations and I told her that. These stores remind me of an expensive version of a Walmart. Both have uninformed, lack-luster, useless help. A big difference is the uninformed, lack-luster, useless help at Dicks speak English. Prices are high. I was looking at buying a shotgun and it was $70 more for the same one at Bass Pro and I showed the help the advertisement online. About 20 minutes passed and there was no price matching resolution, to which I left. If I want the gun I'll go to Bass Pro, simple as that. read more

Dicks in Naples is a terrible place to take your bike to be fixed. They do not have parts in stock. I had to go to Walmart to get a simple inner tube. They do not have capable technicians who can properly communicate with customers. They have a typical millennial named David with particularly poor communication skills and technical skills who cold not answer a simple question as follows, "can you fix the bike?" He had to bring the Manager over to help him answer. The answer turned out to be no. This is after I had made 5 phone calls in advance to confirm they had the parts, know how and could fix it while I waited. This is after I put the bike in my trunk with the trunk open. I then took it to Naples Cyclery who took one look and could fix it at a low price. David the Millennial had a bad attitude from the start and posed problem after problem without any solutions. read more

Friendly staff, with a great manager. They matched the price from my Groupon for supplements. Pretty sure most places would have told me to get lost. Store is brand new, and inviting. I know I'm getting older, but I did not recognize some of those prices. There is no way I could have kids, and satisfy their needs. Anthony was extremely helpful. He was enthusiastic, friendly, and hard working. He helped me find all the equipment I needed, checked inventories quickly and helped me bring everything to my vehicle. I have been searching for a certain piece of fitness equipment for months, but stores have been sold out nationwide. Every time I have called dicks sporting goods they have been very friendly and willing to help me find my equipment. When the equipment did arrive, the staff was all very helpful from the phone, to my in store experience. I have never had better customer service. I would definitely recommend this store! read more

When you go into a dick's sporting good store, you generally know what you were going to get. I think this store having recently opened is the same as most of the other dicks stores I have ever been in. I was not looking to purchase anything on this visit and took my time browsing the store. On this day my wife was the shopper and she had some very specific things she was after. In the end her experience was far from favorable. The biggest result was her credit card information being stolen and being quickly used to purchase things online. The most disappointing part of this was her call to management left her nearly in tears as they accused her of doing something wrong. Perhaps the only thing that was done wrong what shopping here. At the very least if you use your credit card here, particularly at the golf counter, be sure to check your credit card statement very closely and make sure you are not victimized as well. In today's world where credit card breaches are far too common, Dick's response has fallen far short of what would be expected. read more

I came here to find a good running shoe. Employees were not very knowledgeable and did not fulfill expectations of an optimal sporting goods store. They need to run the employees through a customer service training day because they do not seem like they enjoy their jobs. Store has a great selection, however. read more

Dicks's is SMOKE AND MIRRORS. They advertise an item like 9MM Winchester for a real low price and walk in the store at 9am and they are sold out. They only had 10 boxes and were sold out in 2 minutes and they don't have rain checks. Every weekend Dick's pulls the smoke and mirrors. read more

In addition, I browsed a few other departments and was asked if I needed assistance at practicality every one. The store seems to be exceptionally well managed and staffed with friendly people. There is a lot of stuff in the store but no customer service. Do not try to return anything even if it is defective. Do not buy any warranties, they do not honor them at the store,(policy is to call manufacture direct) In fact I would not recommend this store or any other Dick's.( see my review on the one in Lakeland.) If you are interested in sporting goods, I would say go online. This formula of having a bunch of cheaply made items and selling them over priced is what happened to Sports Authority. It's always great to walk into a place that has it all when it comes to sporting goods, great variety of stock and visual marketing, very inviting. As a retired law enforcement officer I go in there when they have sale on ammo. They do price match and the staff is friendly. The store is clean and organized, check out is a breeze when I have my glasses ( extra questions when purchasing ammo) LOL. read more
