Nigiri
Alli B.

Such good AYCE!! The nigiri was definitely the best. Wow, yummy. $35 per person for dinner, pretty good. Not a bad bite here but if I had to skip anything, it'd be the spicy tuna. Salmon nigiri was my standout of the night, so simple and good. Also no wait on a Friday night.

Ramen so good yum

My all-time fav sushi spot and definitely the best you can get in Aurora/centennial/parker! So good I've wanted to leave beach-side sushi spots to eat here instead lol. Has a great AYCE menu with well-crafted and great quality options (the special sashimi, una apple roll, and udon are to die for) The place has a chill ambiance with self-serve tablets at most tables but staff is still around, very helpful, and attentive! ALSO LOCALLY OWNED!

My 1st time visiting since Sho started to offer AYCE. From my past visit, I did like their food and service and today was a perfect opportunity to try. Saturday lunch is considered as dinner and charged accordingly at $34.99. Did I eat more? Probably not. Did they serve dinner sized portion? Probably not. Overall, I will not try the AYCE at Sho. For 2 people with one small beer and tip, it came out to $100. Pro: you get to try different items, mini version of it. You have different color options and for $34.99, you can enjoy most of their offerings. KFC was good, 3 orders of fried calamari will be good, tempura came out piping hot, udong was good too. Ramen anyone? Cons: lot of rice on mini nigiris. Yikes! Check my photos out. They are so tiny and so cute. Next time l will just skip the AYCE and go for full sized... maybe

Always enjoyed the specialty sashimi at Sho Sushi & Izakaya. The mango tuna, bincho kizami, lime hotate buri, hamachi jalapeno, salmon carpaccio, seared tuna wasabi and tako ponzu were all addictively tasty. Usually ordered sashimi and nigiri instead of rolls when having AYCE there as the rolls were more filling. The taste of lobster dynamite was rich and complex and zaru udon dipping the homemade sauce was surprisingly refreshing. Still cannot figure out why the mochi ice cream was not included in AYCE though, as isn't dessert the exclamation mark to finish a good meal?

Exceptional AYCE sushi restaurant with stellar food and service. Go for the orange menu so you can choose anything on the menu. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Best AYCE I have ever been to. Great rolls, sashimi, appetizers, salads, Nigiri and soups. Please give it a try.. .

It's a modern Asian eatery with an AYCE and a la cart options. All of the items taste fresh. They weren't super busy so the food came out fairly quickly. The skewers & Korean BBQ ribs were overdone like jerky but did have good flavors. Miso soup had depth but a bit on the salty side. Server was friendly & came around often. Fair value for what you get.

The atmosphere was lovely and the food was phenomenal. I came here for my cousins birthday and had a great time with my company. I felt that the service was rushed. Our waiter seemed to be impatient the entire time we were there. I didn't let that get in the way of having a good time. The seafood was very fresh. Their plating was delicious. Very good prices for the quality of all you can eat sushi. I didn't get to label pictures as I had no idea which roll was which as she just placed it down in front of us and didn't mention anything. Would definitely give this place another try.

Beautiful high ceiling and modern atmosphere. Very good service and delicious all you can eat (AYCE) sushi. This is my favorite AYCE Sushi restaurant in Denver. We got the blue AYCE. Their menu for appetizers and side also includes some Korean dishes, including tteokbokki and Korean spicy ramen. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time here! AYCE sushi can either be a hit or a miss, and this restaurant leans more to the 'hit' side. This was a more secure place located in Centennial, next to the highway. They offer AYCE sushi at $25 for lunch, $35 for dinner (+$5 for the premium menu). I honestly would recommend going all in and getting the premium. The sashimi salad is great and everything comes fresh. The service was helpful and checked up on us to see if we needed anything. It does get busy pretty quick so I do recommend heading there when they open. The are itself was kinda small from photos but it does feel a lot bigger than it looks online. Chill atmosphere with good service. I do wish they had fresh oysters in stock since I like to try out oysters everywhere I go, but next time. Will be back if I'm in the area.

The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and the sushi is consistently fresh and delicious. Some of my absolute favorites are the Asaka Roll, Creamy Maguro Roll, Thanksgiving Roll, Bluefin Tuna Tataki Roll, Pork Gyoza, and miso soup. Their fried rice is also AMAZING! Honestly, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I highly recommend making a reservation if you're planning to visit on a weekend night. It's a smaller restaurant, and the wait times can get pretty long, but it's absolutely worth it! Part of me wants to keep this place a hidden gem, but everyone deserves to know just how amazing Asaka is! If you love sushi, this place is a must-try. Easily one of my favorite restaurants, and I'll continue coming back again and again!

However, within a few minutes of placing the order I received a call, wanting to confirm which location I had wanted to place the order through. I had accidentally chosen the wrong location so they canceled my order and had me place it again online. They called the other individual I was with who also placed an order. This must happen pretty often if they're calling every single person that places an online order and I will say that I did not notice that I picked the wrong location when I placed the order. So I was grateful that they called to confirm. The order was ready when we arrive to the location and everything was accurate. I started with edamame. And I will say it is pretty standard edamame. I also wanted to try a California roll. It was really fresh and I would definitely order one again. My favorite of the appetizers was that Gyoza. Those were so good. I always order them with Ramen in Kansas City but these knocked any of those out of the park. For Ramen, I went with a classic tonkatsu. The menu description said that it came with corn and bok choy, but I was missing both of those items. The Ramen itself was really good. The broth was super rich and they gave you a lot. There were also a lot of Ramen noodles. And I did like the addition of the bamboo shoots. The marinated egg was fantastic. This classic was so tasty. If I lived in the area, I would definitely visit pretty often. There's so many different menu items that looked so good and I'm sure the other Ramen varieties are fantastic as well.

However, the food was quite a bit warmer than room temperature upon arrival. I noticed the menu highlighted both spicy sushi and sauced sushi, which should have been my first signal. Similar to a steak restaurant, my sushi shouldn't Require sauce for its flavor. Price point is great, so that's a win. They have a bright atmosphere. Kids like it here, and they have a couple of TV's that I'm sure are useful on big sports nights. On presentation they get a 5/5, but unless you're coming for a simple cali roll or something, I'd look elsewhere.

Let me first…read moresay that the service was extremely friendly and I liked it a lot, which makes me feel bad about what I'm about to say. Please note that I tried things that other people have mentioned in their reviews as things they liked. I had the crunchy tuna appetizer, which was essentially several golf ball sized lumps of rice deep fried, with a tiny amount of tuna and I think avocado on top. It probably should have been called the crunchy rice appetizer, and really was not, to me, worth $14. Next up was the Joker roll, which I believe is mentioned by more than one person as their favorite thing here. If you like pepper, it's the roll for you. I have never had such a peppery sushi roll in my life and I did not like it. My final roll was the mango roll. Now I know what mangoes are and I knew what I was getting, so I can't really blame the restaurant for the fact that I guess I've learned I'm not a big fan of sushi rolls with fruit on them. It was well made for what it was, just not my particular favorite. The miso soup was lovely. The restaurant was nice and clean and as I have said, the service was impeccable, friendly, really everything you would want. Which is all the more reason I was disappointed that the food did not ring a bell with me. If you go to this restaurant, I would suggest you avoid the things I've mentioned and perhaps try some others. You may have better luck than I did, and you will be served well in the process.

This place ... Wow!…read more If you get a chance to come to Denver, go out of your way to come here. Absolutely delicious. It's like a portal to Japan. Everything is authentic. The atmosphere, the food, and the staff. Perfect! Everything we ordered was great. The fish neck, tempura, and karage were so good. I don't normally eat fish neck but I couldn't pass this up. Sorry about the picture of karage, my wife started grabbing pieces before I got a chance to take a picture. Moist and flavorful. The dipping sauce that came with it paired well with it. The tempura was lightly fried and the sauce completed that dish. The entree, with so much we ordered I'm shocked we had room for the entrees. My wife fell in love with their yakisoba. She said it brought her back to Japan haha. I had the tongkatsu and beef curry. It really hit the spot. Filling and delicious. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I like unagi and they don't sell it at the place most convenient for me to go to. Glad I ordered it. The tuna was fine. Diablo and crispy were lovely to try. Never had fried sushi before so the crispy was new. Texture wise it was pretty good. Crispy but tender. The Diablo roll had a nice spice to it. I really like this place. The restaurant itself is very cute, with pretty décor, a beautiful bar, and outdoor seating. It wasn't too busy during our visit, which made for a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy dinner and conversation. Our server was also AMAZING, incredibly kind, and attentive throughout our experience. We ordered the New Orleans Crab Cakes, Grilled Salmon Oscar, Nantucket Seafood Risotto, and Tuna Rolls. New Orleans Crab Cakes (8/10) - I never quite know what to expect when ordering a dish inspired by New Orleans at a restaurant that doesn't necessarily specialize in that cuisine. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The crab cakes were creamy, delicious, and carried a good amount of flavor. I substituted the shoestring fries for the parmesan potatoes, which I thought were a great addition to the dish. Nantucket Seafood Risotto (8/10) - My wife ordered this dish, and it was creamy, flavorful, and had a generous amount of seafood throughout. I always appreciate when a dish provides a good balance of its ingredients, and this certainly did. Tuna Roll (9/10) - Our daughter ordered this, and I would consider it a good take on a classic tuna roll. The ingredients were fresh, and the cucumber added a nice crunch to each bite. Nothing overly complicated, just a well-executed roll. Grilled Salmon Oscar - Our friend ordered this dish, so I can't personally speak to the flavor, but she shared that she found it incredibly yummy! Overall, this was a lovely place to celebrate a birthday. Between the atmosphere, attentive service, and enjoyable food, I can certainly see us returning to try some additional items on the menu.
