She does a thorough evaluation. I'm being treated via acupuncture, cupping, and trans cutaneous stimulation. Most importantly is advice to other lifestyle changes: diet, exercise, stress management, and herbal medicine. I feel better since initiating treatment and know that my condition requires maintenance. Her clinic is on 2nd floor. It is clean and comfortable. She has two private treatment rooms. She explained to me that she started learning about TCM since 7 y.o.. I pay out of pocket for my treatments. My insurance does not cover. But nevertheless I went and when I showed up I still wasn't sure to expect there was only one lady in the shop. I mainly went in because I had some shoulder pain from exercising that i wanted some relief from I got into the room, a different lady came in and said the other lady was busy and if it was okay if she messaged me, sure. About 10 minutes of this and I'm wondering if i got a bait and switch from the deep tissue massage i wanted. I was about to speak up when she suddenly climbed off and started massaging me like "normal" and she was amazing. I never mentioned anything about my shoulder but she gravitated to the spot, finding all the knots and even pulling and stretching the tendon, (I have an impingment, where the tendon is caught and inflamed) she even followed the muscle all the way down the back to work out the entirety of the shoulder pain Then, she massaged with a hot towel, through the towel and without it. Helped me even stretch, which when you got to a lot of other massage places especially commercial spots they feel very scripted like certain motions, certain areas. Not here the lady helped me stretch my hips even putting pressure right at the joint of the inside of my hip. Nothing makes me more disappointed than when I go to a massage place and it feels half assed and I leave feeling like my muscle pain or stiffness has barely been addressed Only thing that was a little bit of a downside it seemed like she was there alone, so twice she had to quickly leave the room to answer the phone or meet someone at the door. She was super quick, very apologetic. So I could even be mad. And when the hour alarm went off she gave me another 15 minutes to make sure I got my full time. Then, looking at local reviews on Yelp, I stumbled on Lee's Herbs Acupuncture. Dr. Li was prompted in returning my initial phone call to discuss my symptoms and I was able to set up an appointment next day. Upon examining my skin, it was determined I have allergies to certain food I eat. My work-related stress level was also a main contributor to the severity of my problems. With no other alternatives, I decided to try acupuncture and drink Chinese herbal tea for the first time. I took the opportunity of my weekly acupuncture sessions to relax and clear my mind. Drinking the herbal tea daily, on the other hand, was not a pleasant experience even though it helped my issues tremendously. By adding honey as Dr. Li suggested made it bearable. In addition to giving up seafood and spicy foods, I also started using baby shampoo/lotion since most adult beauty products contain harmful chemicals. Five months after my treatment, I am happy to say the symptoms have cleared and I am better at managing my stress level. Dr. Li has an amicable bedside manner. I love the fact that he is patient and willing to listen. Never once did I feel rushed. After the treatments I received, I understand why people from out of state to seek his help. I referred two of my friends to Dr. Li. They are still under his care. I must mention Dr. Li does not working with any insurance company since none will accept his claims. Therefore, the cost may be high depending on the treatment. As of Fall of 2021, he no longer has Sunday appointments. The office is located in a busy commercial/residential area.
