came 4th of July weekend and came here as they were open. Staff was friendly and patient with us as we scanned their MASSIVE menu. The Stromboli with ham and mushrooms was HUGE and delicious. I ordered a small calzone from here with light sauce. Instead of putting the sauce in the calzone (like specified in the ingredients) they gave me a cup on the side. I'm not sure if that was done in error or just because I asked for light sauce. Overall it was decent. A little light with the filling but the ingredients were fresh and it was cooked nicely. The dough had a very garlicky and salty flavor, which was fine by me, but if salt isn't your thing then you may want to try something else. read more

Phenomenal!! I've been working down the road and ordering out from here for a few months now and EVERYTHING they have to offer is FIRE! Salads are don't right - meat on the side so as not to wilt your lettuce; why don't more places do this?!! Their steak tips are excellent btw, all the sandwiches I've tried have been amazing, same for the pizza, and the wings are fantastic!! This place can't seem to get an simple order correct. So if you do order something, plan to get only half of what you order and then have to wait to get the rest. I have encountered some tough places but this one is pretty close to the top. The female receptionist talks trash about you in Spanish while you try to correct an order. Then pretends the phone reception is bad. You order three simple things, and the sub shop blames you for forgetting to give the order to the delivery driver. Now, you have to eat in shifts because they just could not get two items correct. Chicken on a salad, a pizza. So you get a salad with no chicken, a cold sub and no pizza. *boggle* As for the food. Chicken parm sub, over cooked, dry with a teaspoon of sauce. If you want a good mean go across the street and deal with a real pizza shop. I have order a bbq chicken pizza once, and it is hard to find a place that does a really good bbq chicken pizza. Once I order a veggie pizza for a vegetarian friend and I am not fan of veggie pizzas, but I loved that one. All the veggies are fresh, and you can see it and taste. We usually eat at Village but we've given this place a shot a few times... We've always been super disappointed. Their subs are pretty decent, salads are fine if just veggies, but the pizza is really bad. They are VERY skimpy with their ingredients, so it's like eating a thin piece of cardboard with enough toppings to reasonably cover about two slices instead of a whole pizza. Great local alternative to the other sandwich places in town. They have enough different items on their menu to make them an easy choice. A lot of these reviews are reviews for the old owners service/food. The new management has been nothing, but great. One time they did put ketchup on my girlfriends turkey sub, so she didn't eat it. Besides that we have had a great experience and the food has been tasty every visit. I highly recommend the Buffalo chicken gourmet pizza w/ a side of blue cheese. 50% of my 1 cheat meal a week is from Shirley Sub Shoppe. That right there will tell you that it is delicious. This is my go to lunch spot. So far I got a hamburger sub and tuna melt. When you get the subs, they tend to give you a hefty amount of ingredients. I'm planning on getting their pizza next to compare to another pizza spot down the road. Unlike the other pizza spot, this place has friendly staff. They have plenty of seats inside with a TV but a small parking lot (not really a big deal). As of right now I'm only giving three stars because it's a traditional pizza shop and trying to find something that pops from the others. Maybe I'll order a pizza today from them to see how their sauce is like to other shops. So until the next review. read more
