We checked them out as we were wedding cake tasting, and were impressed with their accommodating service and personnel! They're on the higher end for wedding cakes, but are able to do exactly what you want (up to 5 tiers, 200+ guests). Adam sat with us to show us pictures, taste flavors, and chat about the best way to match our ideas, needs and budget. We ended up choosing Marci's in South Bend, but were glad we visited Adam's anyways! (We have some friends who chose him and their cake was great!) On a day-to-day, it's a small locally-owned bakery with not much space to hang out inside, but well worth the visit to pick up a little something to satisfy your sweet tooth

I forgot to take pictures cause I was chomping it down. Let's start off with the Apple Butter on the dinner rolls, delicious. The butter was creamy and very flavorful. The rolls were fluffy and yet still thick. Had the Grilled Ham with Mashed Potatoes and Veggie Beef Soup. The soup hit the spot to start my meal off. When that thick cut of ham was placed in front of me, my mouth was watering already. The first bite was juicy and crispy. Grilled just right. Add in a creamy with chunks mashed potatoes. And a great gravy.. I could not have been happier, I am still longing for more! The atmosphere was homestyle for sure. Cozy, felt like I was out in the country at grandmas. Will def be back when I'm in the area again.

The chicken and noodles were fine, but we thought the turkey had more flavor. We've debated both times if we should get the buffet, but on neither visit did it have roast beef nor pie. Pie is the main reason for us dining here and our appetites just don't warrant more than one plate of food (especially all those heavy starches) AND pie, so it isn't worth the extra cost for us. Although again, if the buffet included pie, we'd get it. Also...we were told a 10-15 minute wait but waited more than 30. The hostess claimed they called us on the speaker but we were no more than 20 feet from the hostess stand the ENTIRE time. None of the three of us heard our name. They took my phone number when we arrived but I got no call nor text. People entered and were seated before us. So I went up and asked. She claimed to have called us and rolled her eyes at me.

There are many reasons for this -- my mother just died and I over ate out of grief, for one. When I walked in one of the cashier's gave me a side leer and smirked. I thought "that was weird." I got dirty looks from three other workers. Now true, no one said "hello fatso", but I was wearing nice clean clothes and my hair was done and there was no other reason to give me a dirty look. I will never be back and shame on anyone who works there who did that to me who calls themselves a Christian. Being an Amish doesn't make you holy. The food looks amazing though. We would have bought some things and probably become regular customers. Guess we'll never know. Peace.
