I called about 9 different canvas shops…read moreall over the Baltimore regions including Pasadena, Bel Air, Baltimore city, etc. Most shops gave me a loose guesstimate quote over the phone since my needs were pretty straightforward...and all but one shop seemed to be giving me quotes within about $100 of each other. What originally set Atlantic Custom Canvas apart was their customer service over the phone. I spoke to a man named Ashby who took a lot of time answering my questions and giving me professional insight and even talked about some of the added value they provided over the competition (like Gore Tex thread). I decided to roll the dice and give them a shot and boy am I glad I did. They came out to the house and were extremely thorough and professional taking measurements and laying out a template. A week later a second trip out to the house for a fitting and final snap button placement. The results were outstanding. The fit and finish and attention to detail were second to none. The original quoted price stayed the same witht he completed job, no surprises, and they even worked in some special requests I had with the canvas. I couldnt be happier, and would recommend this shop without hesitation. True professionals!

Kompletely Kustom gave us a a very low initial quote which is why we went with him and they looked good on paper. Well it was to good to be true and we were charged $15,000 more than what was originally quoted, and he wasn't even able to do over half of the work that was originally agreed upon!  We later had to get other companies to fix items that were quoted by Daniel as well as to fix the major screwups he left us. Furthermore Daniel (the owner) ruined our helm area prying with a screwdriver rather than removing it properly like a subsequent company did and he dropped hydraulic fluid in our stateroom ceiling without even a bucket or towel to catch the fluid from the part he was removing! I spent 2 weeks cleaning up the mess! Even more he acted like it wasn't a big deal while his workers scrambled to clean it up using our shop towels and rags! He offered to rip out the ceiling the next day when I sent pictures of the damage to reupholster it, but by then we were terrified he would mess even more things up and we may never get our ceiling panel back, let alone done properly.   He requires direct access to your credit card which he bills relentlessly even after I told him there was no more money in the budget for repairs (he was 15k over) forcing me to cancel our credit card. He also tried to bill us twice for the water heater they failed to commission properly, as well as for the time while he was ruining our ceiling. If you have anyfurther doubt, we were even offered a discount not to post a negative review about this which makes you wonder how many others took that discount and that's why he has decent ratings.  Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company there'sa KompletelyKustomprice that you won't know about. . There are many other reputable companies out there that do business properly and they didn't even know his company name! Regrettably, we learned our lesson and now know that there are rules and regulations that he was in violation of.

We used KK to do several repairs on our boat. The engines needed some repairs and both vacu toilets…read moreneeded repair. After spending 6,700 on both engines, they still don't run properly. The Port engine has failed and there is a hole in the exhaust manifold that we paid for repair. Neither toilet flushes after spending 4,075.00 to repair and replace foot valves, seals, vacuum generator for waste system, etc. The salon compartment was left filthy. Stains all over the carpet and our couch was still on its side in the kitchen area. This was at the "completion" of the year long work that KK did. The boat died after it was launched and we had to have it towed to our slip. Dan the owner retaliates with paragraph long rebuttals to any negative review and turns it back on the customer. We paid a butt ton of money for shoddy work, a boat that is a waterfront condo and toilets that still don't flush after spending 4,000. Just run! Do not use these people!! I truly believe they have no clue what they are doing.

Owner Marvin Imhoff responded quickly to my text as I was seeking a replacement for the old Bimini top on our trawler. I brought him the canvas for inspection and he provided me with a repair option to add an extra year or two to its life, along with detailed cleaning instructions for the material. He also provided an estimate for replacing the Bimini completely with all new material, high-quality heavy duty YKK zippers, and weather resistant Gore-Tex thread. Based on his excellent advice, I will be able to squeeze one more season out of the canvas for this summer and then have him measure and replace new this fall. I realize I am writing a review in advance of actually having a finished product, but I can already tell just looking at their loft which is laid out for high volume large canvas work, everything neatly stored on the walls and in perfectly arranged shelving, that this is going to be a professional job.

Their team is very knowledgeable and skilled. They take great pride in doing it right. The marina had some places that needed attention, and they are getting it. The docks and seawall were re-worked over the past few years. Floating docks installed for some parts. The fuel dock was getting replaced last year. The shower house was renovated. We've been up and down the ICW several times now. Stayed at all sorts of marinas: corporate chain, town docks, fish camps,... This is a nice family owned and operated facility that really works hard to satisfy the boaters.
