Recently contracted KKM to restore the original hull gelcoat and replace the striping on my 1987 Wellcraft. They used a three-stage wet sanding process to remove the years of oxidation and surface damage and then finished with a thorough wax and polish before applying new striping. Dan took the time to explain to me in detail the steps he and his team would need to take in order to accomplish this during our initial meeting and even took me into his shop to show me the tools and products they would be using...great customer service. Done during the off-season, I also had them winterize the engine, install a new Garmin chartplotter/fishfinder head unit and transducer, and custom create a storage tray for the dash. All work was completed professionally and promptly solidifying KKM as both mechanical and cosmetic boat repair experts. Having been to the KKM shop a handful of times now, I have seen several other projects they have either completed or are currently working on and their attention to detail, technical competency, and creativity is evident in everything they do. I recently had my boat repaired with Completely Kustom and I must say I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. Not only did they charge me an exorbitant amount of money, but they also made false repairs that were completely unnecessary. Before winterizing my boat, they claimed that it needed extensive repairs to the engine or it would sink, which would cost me a fortune. I trusted their expertise and agreed to the repairs, but when I got my boat back, I realized that none of the issues had been fixed. In fact, some of the supposed repairs had made the problems worse. I recently got my boat looked at by a more reputable company, and they were able to identify the real issues and fix them for a fraction of the cost that Kompletely Kustom had charged me. It was clear that Kompletely Kustom had made false repairs to charge me more money. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy boat repair service. The guys at Kompletley Kustom Marine are awesome. After the spring commissioning of my boat, I experienced overheating on one engine and a belt issue on the other. Daniel took a look at my boat and diagnosed the issue immediately. It turns out, I had engine water intake issues along with other things. Ronnie and Dan Installed 2 new 1.25" through hulls and sea cocks in the engine room and plumbing to each engine respectively. Also, they installed Bronze through hulls, seacocks,fittings and electrical supplies. Finally, they repaired a very poor bottom paint job previously applied 2 years ago. Here's a brief description; Sand or Sodablast unpainted fiberglass or previously painted surfaces down to gel coat to prepare surface for epoxy barrier coat. Cleaned bottom to remove all sanding dust, wax and other contaminates. This ensures a high quality bond for the barrier coat. Apply five coats of interprotect barrier coat. I highly recommend these guys and they are very professional and really good at all things marine prevention and repair. read more

I recently had the misfortune of taking my boat to Kompletely Digusting for repairs, and I regret to say that it was an absolute nightmare of an experience. From start to finish, their service was nothing short of a disaster, and I would strongly advise anyone considering using their services to think twice. When I confronted them about this, he was defensive and unhelpful, refusing to admit that they had made any mistakes or done anything wrong. Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed with the service I received. They are clearly more interested in ripping off their customers than providing quality work, and I would never recommend them to anyone. My husband trusted no one else but Daniel with our boat and I continue to only trust KKM since 2010. KKM service is absolutely custom. Daniel lets me know what my boat needs before its needed! When parts, weather, or other situations delay repairs, Daniel lets me know what the issue is and when I can expect it to be resolved. He always follows through with the best quality service. Most recently KKM painted the bottom of my boat. They started on Tuesday and finished on Thursday, a day earlier than promised; even with an extra coat of paint.
