To start the services performed were for an elderly woman(74), my grandmother, that's generally hard to impress with work done around the house. So getting work done is always a stressful task to say the least. This was our fist time having Shipman Out. They did a both 4 removals and 4 beautifications/trims of tree and bushes on the property. With a Starting time of 7am, These guys were on the job before 7am and done by 10:15. My grandmother said and I quote, "Those guys made me tired just watching them, Everyone of them was working at all times. Everyone had a job, No time to talk" The trees that were removed and trimmed were not small either most hadn't been touched in at least a decade and were as older than me(30). Two Were on the fences and One was on the fence and house, and they expertly dropped them, right where they needed them. The stump grind process is really cool to watch tree was totally GONE. They Cleaned and raked everything, hauled it away and we truly didn't have to touch a thing . My grandmother found a couple things around the yard that she said she will rake up, but that was to be expected, she was pleased none the less. Ill try to get some picture taken to show the after work, I forget to take before shots. Overall they did the impossible, they impressed my grandmother, and that's hard to do, so they get the 5 stars! read more

Got a tree problem like I did? I contracted with Shipman Tree Service 3 times in the past couple years, and I believe they are the absolute best in the industry!!! On 7/13/23 they removed a huge ash tree and grinded the stump. Their price was very competitive, their job skills were amazing, their conduct was super professional, and I will definitely hire them again in the future if I need more work done. They showed up with a full crew of 8 to 10 guys who made safety their number one priority along with efficiency. They were all very friendly and followed up with any questions and concerns I had. Since the tree was by the property fence line, they used their technical skills to rope high up branches, cutting and swinging them to land with precision on my side of the fence perfectly every time. Using a top-of-the-line stump grinding machine they went the extra mile by grinding all roots nearby, as well as the stump itself. I enjoyed watching their teamwork as well. I thanked them when finished, and they smiled as they thanked me for trusting in their technical skills to get the job done right. read more

I got a couple of estimates to have a lot of tree work done in Visalia. I was impressed with Shipman's price and timely response. I scheduled the two day work. They arrived early and got right to work. The crew removed two dead palms and trimmed eighteen others. Additional shrub and tree work was identified and completed too. The increase in price for the amount of work they did was so worth it. They work safely, cleanly and hard. They seem to enjoy their jobs! The neighbors were very impressed with their work and attention to detail and cleanup. They also chipped what they could and hauled what had to go away. Palms are a pain but they handled them like pros. I highly recommend Shipman Tree Service. I don't live in the area but was able to accomplish most of the arrangements remotely. My Dad the homeowner, is so happy with his trees and loves their work. Now that's a Fathers Day gift! Thanks to Shipman Trees and their hardworking crew, we appreciate you and the services you did. Job well done :) read more

Excellent service!! The whole team is extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsible. Have the team to trim the tree in front yard, never had the tree trimmed before. Did not know even just for trimming a tree would involve so much works. The team knows what to do, came in and started working with prep works such as removing things that may got damaged by falling tree branches, covering windows, etc. Everyone works together and know each other's roles. It's amazing to see a team work at such professional and efficient way. They also are so very considerate, able to wok with me to get leave the chips for me, and they clean up so well after they finish the work (they ask how we want the leaves/chips to be, etc). Everyone in the team is great. The whole process takes about 2 hours, and I think this is well worth the money for such professional service! I will certainly recommend this company, and will recommend for any one who needs tree services. read more

Shipman Tree Service does a lot of work in the Beverly Glen neighborhood. We are known for our big, beautiful neighborhood trees. Many tree trimming companies prune trees improperly or "top" them because it's easier. Shipman Tree Service took the time to discuss each tree and it's natural shape and the future health of the tree along with my landscaping considerations. The crew was very friendly and extremely careful to make sure they cared for my property and left the area better looking than when they started. They have done work at our house and both of our neighbors. We are repeat customers. Russell was easy to work with and took the time to explain to me everything that was being done and why. Thanks so much. read more

We had Shipman Tree Service to trim up and beautify nine trees, one Crape Myrtle, one Maple street tree, one large Camphor tree, and six Redwoods. My husband and I are extremely happy with the job these men did. I love that they step back and take a look at the tree to see where the next cuts will be. It's like they are working on a canvas. Their workmanship is spot on and they are so kind and courteous and when I asked for a little bit more off one of the Crape Myrtle, they didn't have a problem cutting it a little more. The cleanup was great. We would recommend them to anyone and would hire them again when we need tree service. Thank you Shipman Tree Service for a job well done. Your crew are true artists! read more

I had Jeff come out and give me an estimate to trim 3 large Queen Palms. I also got estimate from three other tree service companies. Jeff's estimate was in the middle but when he told me how they would protect the surrounding sagos and and plants that got my attention as none of the others mentioned that important service. Jeff and his crew did an amazing job and a lot of extra work to protect the surrounding plants. I was very impressed with their professional service and all the the crew was very polite as well. I will definitely use Jeff Shipman's Tree Service again and highly recommend them. read more

We recently used Shipman Tree Service to trim nine large Modesto Ash trees and remove mistletoe throughout them. Also a very tall Palm Tree was trimmed. Their crew not only did a super job and knew what they were doing, but were careful and cleaned up our yard when they finished. We were also very pleased with the cost as they were very fair with our final total. Having used several tree trimming services over the years in Visalia, we would recommend as top notch. read more

Shipman pruned my camphor tree today and it is beautiful. Russell and the entire crew went above and beyond making sure to keep as much green as possible while taking out the bulk. To trim a tree this well involves a sense of artistry as well as tree knowledge. The guys are polite, courteous, and they sang and laughed while working! Loved seeing that! Stop looking for a tree trimmer and just call these guys. I couldn't be more pleased! read more

Shipman Tree Service pruned six large trees and removed a very, very large hazardous tree from my property. The team showed up on time, worked efficiently and safely and left the property looking better than they found it. The team shielded my windows from any accidental damage and were respectful of my neighbor's property as well. I highly recommend them for good work at a fair price. read more

Our tree was 15 years over grown. After getting a door hanger I called. They schedule me for a free estimate, let me know exactly what they were going to do. I scheduled the trim service, the tree turned out great. I wish I would of taken a before picture. Now it has a great shape and is growing beautiful. I will definitely recommend their service. I called them several weeks ago and got a rude woman that seemed to not care about anything. I gave her my number and was given a "He'll call you!" and hung up. Not very professional in my book. Today a pamphlet was at the ground of my front door for Jeff Shipman Tree Service without a knock on the door or call back. This is a business you do not want to trust folks. read more

I called them to remove a redwood tree at a rental property and they responded right away. The manager came out the same day and they provided me with a bid within a few hours. They were able to come out the very next day and take the 65 foot tree down. The price was fair and I would recommend them and plan on using them again in the future. read more

Excellent price to remove an ugly 40 year old evergreen tree from our backyard. Very professional and they cleaned up so well. There is not one pine needle to be found anywhere in our yard or even in the street where they were putting the limbs in a chipper. Really nice people, we will definitely use them in the future for any tree services. read more
