This husband and wife run business is one great running machine. Called in a recommendation and they were right!!! They came right out trimmed 3 of my very large in need ornamental Pear trees. I am Anxiously awaiting spring to see how they grow. They look all butchered to me (the tree hugger) . I was assured the trees will be better for the extreme cut. They came in with a crew , cut and cleaned up without a trace. Only reason for a 4 and not a 5 star they wouldn't let me pay them with a check or cash they wanted to bill me!!! Wow. Bought a home in Exeter and property had a number of enormous trees that had never been pruned and desperately needed care. Also a number of trees needed removing because of specific allergies. Pete and Linda came out to assess the job. They quickly sent me a written bid. They arrived exactly on time, with all the machinery to get EVERYTHING done efficiently, a very polite crew and in several hours they were finished - cleaning the yard before leaving. Pete's tree service was recommended by a friend. They did the work and it looked good but I'm no expert. A couple of days later Linda called me back and said they had driven by and they weren't satisfied with the work. We scheduled them to come and do so more pruning and now it looks great! After reading the fantastic reviews of this company, I was excited to call to get an estimate on trimming our palms. I was absolutely shocked when my call was received by a very rude and impatient woman. I'm sure this is no way a reflection to the work this company does; however, customer service should also be met with the upmost importance as well. I have been using Pete's Tree Service for nearly 20 years. I have found Pete's Tree Service to be honest, dedicated and very very good at what they do. They arrive when they say they will and get right to work. They are quick, efficient and very neat. They don't leave until the last bit of debris is swept up. One time they gladly returned to trim back a tree a little bit more than what I originally thought it needed. My latest experience with Pete's Tree Service was earlier this month when a strong wind storm brought down a very large oak tree in the back yard of my home. Half the tree was resting on the roof and could have potentially caused further damage. Pete and Linda came out to the house the same day I called them, assessed the situation and gave me a very reasonable estimate. When I agreed to them doing the job, I was pleasantly surprised that they could complete the job the next day! I no longer contact other tree trimming companies when I have a tree trimming job. This is the second time I've used them. More than pleased. Showed up on time for site review. Listened to what we wanted. On the job they raised a large oak, trimmed a walnut growing over garage, skirted five large redwood trees, took out one dead tree, trimmed a Mexican Palm and black walnut.
