I hate business's that don't give you ALL their policy's up front. I scheduled 2wks in advance due to my neighbors business. I made it VERY clear that we have a time limit. Steve, the owner and his daughter Cody were very much aware of my situation. Cody called me 3days before my appt (a reminder call) went over what trees need to be done first and using my neighbors road. Tree guys will be out at 7:30 and make that the first priority. No Show. Called and now I'm told by Cody that they will be out between 7:30 and 1:00. Thats their policy. REALY! This is first I'm hearing it. Cody told me to call another tree service. And that's what I did. Halsey is ALL about BIG $$$ work. read more

Halsey's trimmed our bushes and removed two very large trees. Crew was efficient. I wanted to use their services again. However, unless the job is over a thousand to fifteen hundred, it is too small for them. Won't be recommending them for any other jobs. read more

This company is amazing!! They were in & out so quick! They removed our dead tree & ground the stump for the lowest price in town! Also amazing customer service!! read more

After getting bids from 4 different tree service companies, we decided to go with Halsey's Tree Service in Visalia. We are so pleased and completely satisfied with their service! We had 10 full grown redwoods 'thinned-out', a large olive tree removed, and a very large and overgrown camphor tree cut back. Our front and backyards are transformed! The crew of 8 men arrived in the morning at exactly the time they promised. They finished up by the afternoon and left our place clean! They picked up every bit of branch, etc. They also skimmed our pool! Also, we had a bad bulb in a large lamppost in our front yard - somehow they noticed it and offered to change the bulb for us. I was very pleased! Friendly, professional, hard-working, the best prices, wonderful results! I highly recommend Halsey's Tree Service!! read more

Fantastic service!! They came in, did everything I wanted (trimmed two trees back hugely and removed three others) extremely quickly. The only thing I'd have to ding them on is return service - they are very difficult to get ahold of, I had to leave several messages before anyone got back to me. However, that's likely because they're busy (in peak months, an appointment may be months out) but otherwise I was VERY impressed by both their set up and the services when they were supplied. :-D Edited 3/9/15: I'm afraid, after my latest dealings with them, that I need to knock off another star. I mentioned in my previous review that they are difficult to reach; they don't get back to voicemails promptly (if at all), and even when you schedule a time don't feel the need to be punctual. I still say the service supplied is very good when you get down to it, but they need to work on their customer service. read more

Halsey's Tree Service is great. I've used them many times and just now noticed some of the negative yelp reviews. Those don't make any sense to me. I think people don't understand that when it rains, people can't fall your trees so they may have to reschedule. They are professional, do a great job, and always have the best prices in town. I have recommended them to multiple family members and they have all loved them. I will continue to use this company and recommend them to everyone I know. Absolutely wonderful! read more

What happened to this tree trimming service? There skill at trimming trees is terrible. Have they changed employees and don't have the right supervision? Halseys came on time but half way thru the work, one of the guys said they would have to come back another time with a smaller stump chipper to fit thru the gate to grind the stump. Not at the beginning of the work or even when the guy came out prior to look over the site to provide the quote. After repeated calls and emails, 7 weeks now, the stump has not been removed. I requested a refund and don't have that either. I will not use Halseys again and a heads up to you Yelpers to beware! read more

This company has the worst customer service. They called on the day they were going to remove trees and rescheduled then did the same thing again on the rescheduled day. We are going with another service and would recommend others to use another tree service company. read more

I had gotten a quote for trimming two trees over a month ago, and then out of the blue a message was left on my cel phone while at work one day that they would be trimming our trees the next morning at 7:45. We had never committed to their services so I was rather shocked. When their crew showed up the foreman was friendly, but he was there to trim only one of the two trees we had been quoted, as well. I am easy going and did still want the trees trimmed so after a few phone calls we sorted out the price, and I had them do both trees. They did a decent job of shaping the trees and were very conscientious cleaning up when finished. I did however, have to watch and reinforce to the workers that it was not acceptable to damage the young trees under those that they were trimming, and even though I cleared a nice large convenient pathway down the side of our house for dragging the cut branches, they continued to tread across our lawn until I noticed they had broken a main branch of a newly planted Crepe Myrtle; at which time I made it clear they HAD to use the other path. We ended up with nicely trimmed trees at a low price, but for me the added stress did not justify the difference in cost compared to other quotes I had gotten. read more

I had Halseys tree service come to my home and give me a quote, when I called to arrange a time and date for them to do the service I was told that the quote was wrong and they could not do the job at the price quoted. I said so you come to my house, give me a bid, and now you say you cannot do it for that price..... so I then had to start all over on seeking out someone to do the job. Not happy with my experience with Halseys Tree Service read more
