Please do not support a business that litters. If you want business, do good work and get referrals like a decent contractor. I also looked up the license number (# 1059358) on the CSLB website, and its says it is a sole proprietorship owned by ANGELICA PLASENCIA with "no employees at this time" so they don't have to provide proof of workers' compensation insurance. If this is a false statement, and they do hire employees, their license is not valid, and under the law, anyone who paid them to do any contracting work can sue them to get a full refund of everything they paid. See Vebr v. Culp, 241 Cal. App. 4th 1044 (2015) ("Section 7125.2, subdivision (a)(2) of the Business and Professions Code provides that a contractor's license is automatically suspended by operation of law as of the date the contractor is required to obtain workers' compensation insurance but fails to do so."). ANGELICA PLASENCIA of Tulare also shows up on a 2012 list of "Top 500 Delinquent Taxpayers" published by the California Board of Equalization for reportedly owing more than $600,000 in unpaid taxes. They used the following names and numbers: The proposal contract was Shift General Builder & Design, license # 1059358. The contact is Alfredo Rodriguez, who held himself out as an owner. (He leaves the country from time to time and just disappears from communications). The license is under Angelica Plasencia, and we haven't been able to get a different result escalating to her.
