Also Shipley has the greatest varieties of donuts in stock every open hour and every day. This particular Shipley was no different. My family of four wanted five different types of donuts for breakfast. I went to the closest local owned donut shop, but the pickings were limited and didn't have everything we wanted. So, this Shipley saved our breakfast. It had all the fresh donuts on our list. The counter service was friendly and very quick. Prices were competitive. We still like to purchase from Mom and Pop donut shacks, first, but Shipley will always be our primary backup over Duncan, Crispy Cream, and Tim Horton. read more

I thought I would be a good dad today and get Shipley's for my kids before I got back home after running an errand. I went through the drive-through as usual not expecting anything great. Usually I don't like the woman that is at the drive-through window that gives me the donuts. I'm not sure exactly what it is with that lady, maybe it's the attitude or maybe it's something else but I just know that she annoys me every time I deal with her. I think maybe it's because when she gives me the donuts the bull's-eyes that I buy for my kids that have whipped cream on the top are always packed in tightly on their sides which makes a mess out of the donuts and makes them look terrible. So needless to say this was a type of service I was expecting. To my surprise there was someone else working the window! I was planning on writing a review today and giving this place two stars after receiving bad service as I have come to expect! Here's my thought process... the donuts are about the same everywhere I go they're not great but not bad they are donuts! And if the donuts are better than usual I would give it four stars and if they're hot off the assembly line and taste like Krispy Kreme donuts then I would give them a five! But if the service is subpar and the donuts are average I would give them a two or if it's really really bad service and bad donuts I would give it one star. When I got home I open the box expecting to see the bull's-eye donuts with whip cream on the top turned sideways and smashed together as usual but was shocked when they were placed in the box nicely as I always hope they would do. And this is why I gave them three stars today instead of writing a review and giving them 2. If I continue to get good service like this then I will revise my review and up it to four stars but I don't think I will ever go to five since the donuts are not exceptional... So keep up the good work to the lady that was working the window today and I hope to see great service again in the future so I can increase you to four stars! read more

Have never had Shipley donuts until coming home from the airport yesterday morning. I swung by this location around 8:30 as it's close to my house. I ordered an assorted dozen so my husband and I could try different varieties. The price was reasonable, $7.29 for an assorted iced and glazed donuts. After the first bite of the first donut, I have to say I was not impressed. The glazed donut was chewy, in my opinion, pretty flavorless. I ended up only eating one, and knowing my husband would agree, decided to toss the remainders in the trash. I guess I'm more of a Krispy Kreme, melt in your mouth, kind of donut girl. I did a pre-order for donuts for my child's bday...she wanted to bring donuts instead of cupcakes to her classmates. The order was taken and confirmed...then a couple days before my scheduled pick up date I received a call saying they can make them (it was suppose to be frosted all the same?). Then why did you say you can on the order form? Now I have to scramble to make sure I get things together. One you shouldn't agree to do something you cannot and secondly you should have the courtesy to give people more warning than a day that you no longer can do it instead of leaving people high and dry. Worst service ever!!!! Went through the drive through and they messed up the order. When I called them to tell them it was wrong I was hung up on. Thinking ok this could have been an accident I called back only to have them stop answering the phone. Hmmm get in my car drive to the store and tell them my order is wrong. I was very embarrassed for the counter person who helped me out today. If this is the kind of service I receive, I'd much rather go somewhere else. I went in today for a donut and asked the counter person what was the better buy- the donut holes or regular donut. She said the donut holes, so I handed her a five dollar bill and she rang up $1.95. I said to her forget the donut holes and just bring me a chocolate donut. She said she couldn't because she already rang up the donut holes. I could barely understand her very broken English. I then told her to forget about the donut holes and I wanted my money back. Instead, she threw the bag of donut holes back where she got them, grabbed another empty bag and put a chocolate donut in the bag. She came back to the register and took out four dollars and threw the money on the counter. Instead of getting upset with her childish behavior I just decided to never frequent this low-budget place again. Typical donuts and mediocre coffee but it is convenient to my house so I go quite a lot. One star is taken away because they refuse to pit the cream and sugar in the coffee for you when you use the drive through. I ask every time but they refuse!!! I don't understand what the big deal is but that's the way they run their business. Instead you have to pull over and mix it up yourself and go on your way. The other star was taken off bc they have ants inside and when i told them about it, they could not have cared less! I will keep going and keep pulling over to put cream and sugar in but if a dunkin donuts ever opens in this part of town, i will never be back. Awful customer service in drive through. Told me they could not accept my torn $5 because the bank would not take it.
