I tried a sausage cheese and jalapeño kolache as well as a chocolate donut from here. The kolache was a very large portion and made for a filling breakfast. The bread and sausage tasted fresh! The donut was standard but hit the spot for my cravings. Affordable prices as well. Read a lot about their specialty donuts and saw so many good reviews that I had to come try it myself! I had read that people who went around 9/10 said the donuts were not fresh at that time. So I decided to go at 6am (opened at 5) on Sunday morning to ensure that I could try each one and hopefully find my new favorite donut shop but instead they did not have ANY DONUTS READY. All they had was a couple of kolaches and pastries. It was already over an hour after they opened and the lady who worked the front was so rude to me when I asked her to make the 3 donuts I wanted and I'd wait. I asked her how long would it take to make the donuts I wanted to order and she told me THREE HOURS. I had driven a pretty decent way to come to this place and it was evident that not only was the service horrendous but this place is not somewhere that wants your business. They don't have any green donuts, and none of the products here remind me of the west... except for the bullet hole in the middle of the a lot of the donuts. That's false advertising. They're cheap, they're delicious, they even have some fancy ones and they do them well. Katy honestly doesn't have a lot of good donut shops (but locals think they do). This is one of very very few shops that is actually worth stopping in. For someone who had all the top donuts in NYC and Chicago and such, it's hard to find good ones in Texas, but here is a place that is most definitely good. read more

I came her about one week ago and I loved it. I lived near this place for so long and didn't know it was there at all. I ordered the sausage, eggs, bacon, and cheese kolache, the sausage and cheese, an orange juice, these two donuts below, and a cinnamon twist. It came out to abt 15 bucks! This is a cute little donut and Kolache shop in Katy! I really wanted to love it after reading all the reviews, but my experience was just ok. The kolaches and donuts all looked yummy, and they had tons of variety to choose from which was nice. I got the sausage kolache, apple fritter, and chocolate cake donut. The kolache was soft with a pillowy dough and juicy sausage. The apple fritter was crispy on the outside from the glaze and had nice bits of caramelized apples throughout. It was very sweet (as apple fritters usually are). The chocolate cake donut was dense and a little dry but overall still tasty with a satisfying chocolate flavor. The store is small but in a little plaza, so parking was easy. However, I'm not sure I'll come back because of the service. The lady working behind the counter was not nice at all. She was very curt and pushy, and when asked simple questions (ex. which donut do you recommend?), she frowned and acted really unhappy. All in all, while the food was good, this probably won't be my go to donut place given the negative attitude of the employee. read more

The lemon was good, but the meringue was more of a grainy white icing (too much sugar) and a bit disappointing. On the next visit I got the Nutella donut. It was a donut with a cinnamon sugar dusting and Nutella in the middle. Was definitely more impressed with this and would get again. Would definitely recommend if you want one of the "fancy" donuts, but don't feel like waiting in the lines at the more specialized places (or making the dtive). read more

Just tried this place and sure glad I did. Super friendly people and the Kolaches are so good. The bread is fresh and buttery and the sausage is high quality. My favorite was the maple bacon one though, the dough was fluffy and soft, the maple glaze waz perfect sweetness with the salty chewy bacon. I absolutely love this place! Their donuts and kolaches are so delicious! My favorite kolaches are the boudin & the 3 meat. I won't eat boudin kolache from anywhere else, but here. It's just that great! The donuts are indescribable! I bought a dozen in the morning and they were still soft & chewy by the days end. The different flavors and uniqueness of some are the reason I keep going back. The owners are so friendly & sweet! They come up with the most delicious treats. I tried their new pineapple donut and loved it so much, that I pre-ordered some for the next day! I was also shown a new donut called funky monkey, so I ordered a couple of those. One of the best places for donuts and kolaches I've been to. My personal favorite here is the Sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. It's sooooo gooood I get it for me and my coworkers. I've only tried 1 of their donuts which was the coconut flakes covered one and it was literally like biting into a cloud so I can't wait to try more. They have extra donuts too that are pretty unique and most other donut places don't have which is cool. Overall I will be going there a lot now and I highly recommend! read more
