This place is really good but recently they've been overcharging and I think the lady that is always in there just put random numbers so I really wouldn't recommend to go in there unless you don't mind getting overcharged for two donuts and one drink. Update on new review: we keeping this place another chance and another and once again, a total left down. What kind of business continues to run out of Kolaches on a Sunday??? I'm sorry but if you know you'll be busy on a Sunday, make enough kolaches! I'm sick and tired of going there and they are out of everything before 7:30 am. So if I were you, find another place where they know business and know their customer base. This is frustrating. These new owners are clueless and not customer service friendly. Well I usually love this place but this is the second time I have come here early in the morning, around 7;15 and they have no ham and cheese kolaches. If you are running a business, and you know you will be busy and you know what people will want, make enough food for them. It isn't rocket science. The past 3 times I have gone here, I ask for ham and cheese kolaches and they give me sausage.... Their sausage is shitty hot dog style crap. Their bread is great and the ham and cheese are good. What's not to love about your local hometown donut shop. They have donuts, Kolache, croissants, anything you want from your local donut shop, they have and it's great! I specifically like to because it's so close and I love their ham and cheese Kolache a. It's like strip of ham instead of a rolled slice of ham. The dough is fluffy and sweet just the way it should be! You can never go wrong with the a sausage and cheese or jalapeño and cheese Kolache. Oh and the ham and Swiss croissant is amazing! read more

I grew up on these kolaches, literally. My mom would take me and my sister here all the time for breakfast before dropping us off at elementary school across the street. I'm 19 now and I still go here almost every week. The kolaches are soft and sweet and always warm. The donuts are also amazing. I always go here because they are way better and different from any place I go to. Highly recommended!!! read more

The woman who work there is rude and very mean. The first few time I ignored her because the gentleman who work there has been nice and helpful . This mean old lady act like she doesn't want to be there, and we should go to another place of business. Well today I did. I looked her in the eye and said That's OK I'll take my money somewhere else. She shrugged her shoulders like oh well. So I took my business and all my friends to Kolache Bar on Fry RD. Glad I did. I'm very disappointed with their policy of adding .35 to my total because I used my debit card. It's not really about the money, it just rubs me the wrong way when I'm not treated as a valued customer when I've been giving them my business for at least 8 years (or more. It's early and I simply can't remember). Also, the food quality has gone downhill. I always order the same thing when I'm by myself- 2 sausage and cheese kolaches. When I used to take my boyfriend's daughter to school (pre COVID) we would get 4 kolaches, 1 donut, & a chocolate milk. I'm not cheap, but I really don't appreciate the extra charge, especially when I'm given 2 old ass kolaches that are still cold in the middle. There's tons of donut places nearby & I would think customer retention would play into the decision to charge extra for using a non cash method. I actually think it's illegal to do so. I understood that you can give cash payers a discount, but charging extra to use a card is against the law. Maybe I'm wrong, I'll have to check into this. Best Donut Shop in Town and LOW Prices! The staff is so friendly too! Their sausage and cheese croissant is the best I've ever had. It is flaky, soft, buttery and perfect. Their donuts are great too--they taste so fresh, and in the strawberry icing, you can actually see a little bit of strawberries. Their sausage kolache is SOOOOO GOOD! I was never interested in Kolache until I had theirs. However, their donuts, for some reason, taste like gas. As you are chewing it, your mouth just taste like full of gas! I have tried twice and they both disappointed me. I will still come back for the kolache but not the donuts. read more

Love this place! Everytime I go there everyone is so nice! The donutsare amazing as well! In order to use your card you have to spend at least $5 though. So bring cash! They are very personal and personally I think they are much better than shipleys! read more

This is my favorite place to get kolaches. Their jumbo sausage and cheese kolaches are so delicious, I prefer them over Kolache Factory. I used to live nearby in Nottingham Country, however I have since moved farther east, but I will still make the drive to Mr. Donut because the service is so great and the kolaches are amazing. I love this little place. The owners are so friendly, and there's a drive thru. They remember long orders and get it right every time. The donuts are good and the croissant sandwiches are greasy and filling. The breakfast tacos are no bueno though. The tortillas were stale and tasted store-bought, and not from a good store. The kolaches are nothing special but better than the tacos. But, with a drive-thru, quick and friendly service and delicious donuts (try the cake), it's worth a trip if you live in the area. read more
