The people that work at the Shiny Shell are the best! I love to get my car washed a few times a week and it's very convenient to where I live. You do need to be able to wipe your car afterwards as the dryers do leave some wet areas. read more

Happy with washes. Staff is attentive and safety conscious. They check on you when wiping down/vacuuming your car if they have time and will listen to feedback. Likely a hedge fund is owner of the company and only interested in rate of return, not spending $ to fix. So let me give you opinions to counter low ratings. If wash results unexpected then speak to manager on duty. Request ability to rewash. They will do. Intent is to have you happy and come back. Need to let them know. Even when brushes not working (it is a mechanical system getting gallons of water thrown on it), it is still a better wash than anything in area. They have made getting discounts harder. Corp decision. A bad decision, and not fault of local staff. Call UT HQ to register opinion. It is stupid, but griping to staff or posting here does nothing. When new wash opens in Damascus do not assume better. Time will tell. But competition may make hedge fund owners in UT more attentive to these reviews of comments provided by customers. Highly recommend this car wash. read more

This carwash definitely brought convenience to the neighborhood. Good size of wash with decent number of vacuum stations. Top price for a single wash is $24. Or have the option to join the club and pay $40 per month with unlimited access. The club member access room offers a soda machine, cleaning sprays and towels. During winter time, the towels are kept inside, and summer time should be outside by the vacuums. Even though the hours of operations says open at 0730 but during when they were first open, couple of times I went around 0900, they were not open. Now, As they have opened for a while now, hopefully they will be consistently open at the hours stated. The machine wash is definitely not 100%, please see photos included, for my Tesla, the lower part of the vehicle was barely cleaned, human touch was much needed afterwards. LOL read more

The lower half of the car was not touched after going through the wash. The attendant was aware a few brushes weren't working. He was apologetic. He mentioned that a repair was scheduled soon. Shiny Shell contacted me to get my reoccurring payment corrected. I did my correction. Minutes later, I got a 50% wash job. I'm a bit frustrated. This place was doing a good job until recently. read more

I have been a current member with unlimited washes since not long after they opened, after a problem with the 1st wash I had as a non-member and damage to my truck by the location. The then manager was very interested in obtaining my membership and offered me a discounted monthly rate. Unfortunately, the 2026 verification process is removing my discount, even after my membership was contingent on the discount after the incident where the exit door did not raise and banged up the front of my brand new truck. I only signed up because of the then manager wanting my business and offering me the discount. Additionally, the Shiny Shell in Mt Airy, MD has declined in the quality of washes - the brushes do not get all sides of my truck any longer, the back no longer ever gets washed and since the beginning of 2026, the wash has begun shooting black grease on vehicles causing further damage. The staff there knows about the black grease and even said it to me before I even had a chance to tell them when I returned to let them know. I should not have to wipe off anything but water from my truck from a car wash .. if it's running properly. I feel I have been very patient and supportive of our local business; but unfortunately, Shiny Shell customer service doesn't care and made it clear they do not want my business any longer. They clearly are not honorable to honor the agreement in place as the basis of my membership. Additionally, there will be a brand new car wash, just like Shiny Shell, later this calendar year in the neighboring town .. you'd think Shiny Shell wouldn't want to run away their current customers, right? The Mt Airy location car wash hasn't been running properly for some time now. Then, Add that to the end of my discount ... yeah, shame on Shiny Shell and their lack of honor. read more

Was very excited when this car wash opened. It has definitely gone down hill. The brushes in the wash cycle don't work. It's been broken for over a month. If your car is very dirty you will have to go through a few times. The quality of service isn't there. What a shame read more

I was immediately greeted by the Shiny Shell Car Wash attendant. There are three car wash options to choose from. The attendant suggested the fourteen ($14) dollar option. There is an attendant to guide your vehicle into the automated carwash. The signage instructs you place your vehicle into the neutral gear and not turn on the windshield wipers. I had a pleasant experience at Shiny Shell Car Wash. Great customer service. I am looking forward to visiting Shiny Shell Car Wash in the near future. read more

Sometimes they do a good job, but other times my car isn't washed thoroughly. It's frustrating, especially since we've invested in the monthly plan and expect more consistent results. read more

Paid $24 for the works, and when I pulled into the wash, I had no idea what wash I was going to get because the indicator light wasn't working. The attendant was annoyed when I asked what wash I was going to get. It was the fastest wash I had ever been through. After going to vacuum, I saw why. I had to go around the whole car and spot clean. The windows had water spots all over them. read more

Not Shiny! I purchased Rama basic car wash and entered the inbound ramp. Although, great effort was given to the construction of the facility, the gleaming exterior with modern vacuums and ample parking, the technology used inside is at best. antiquated. As my vehicle exited the car wash, I noticed soap remaining on the car observed through the rear window. Later, as I continued to drive to my next destination, I further noticed that the entire rear hatchback was totally not clean. Spend $2 more and go elsewhere, where your car will be cleaned, newer technology will be used to ensure the car's cleanliness and you'll be satisfied with the results. read more

Since the opening, the service has been awesome. The services offered make it easy to take care of all of your car's needs. The attendants provide a warm welcome and provide outstanding customer service. There is one attendant in particular who goes above and beyond to take care of the customer's needs. That would be Derek, the most kind and sweet person, while being very professional. It has been a real pleasure having him provide such awesome customer service. read more
