For example, I couldn't care less about all the warm and fuzzies, what I want is an accurate outcome that is positive. When I've had to choose a surgeon for myself or other family members, I have one trick. I usually ask the nurses who care for the patients after surgery, which doctor is the most OCD about everything? Usually there is one surgeon who is an absolute jerk, and demands excellence, and perfection of himself and his team. LOL. This is the doctor for me! Dr Ireland has this reputation. He is known for demanding excellence in his aftercare, and yes, this makes some people not love him. But, the people who don't appreciate his ways, are people who are lazy and don't strive for excellence themselves. You don't want them on your team! I, personally, am never rattled by these sort of doctors, because I know they have the best outcomes and results. Dr Ireland has performed 3 surgeries on me. Cosmetic and reconstructive after an accident with excellent results. If I do choose to tell someone that I've had surgery I am ALWAYS told what an amazing and natural result I've had. I could not be happier. So...don't pick your doctors because they are nice...or the staff is friendly, or they didn't make you wait... That is all nonsense when it comes to cutting on your body! Pick someone who is technically good, and a perfectionist with their outcomes. That is how you come through these experiences safely, with good results and no complications. Dr Ireland has a great reputation for results. Choose him with confidence. If nurses are choosing him, that is the true test, because we see which doctors are the best and which are the worst. I am a logical, realistic individual and I did not expect perfection, but I was deformed to the point I didn't want to look at myself topless. I asked him to repair them, he kept telling me they look great. To anyone considering The Plastic Surgery Group, I have all of the before/after photos as well as ALL of the emails that were exchanged between myself and the practice administrator who made a pathetic attempt to arrange a meeting between myself and Dr. Ireland then didn't bother to attend, so I sat in an uncomfortable mtg and accomplished nothing. I saw Dr. Reubel to have a cracked wisdom tooth extracted…read more The procedure went well and I was in and out in under an hour. He explained what he would be doing and the risks involved with extracting teeth. I chose local anesthesia and it was pain free. I was happy to see that he personally calls patients that evening. I had no complications but it's a very nice touch! I had swelling (to be expected) where the tooth was extracted and pain has been managed by ibuprofen and a prescription (only needed to take two of them). The bleeding tapered off a few hours after the surgery. I have to say I was expecting worse! My insurance requires that patients submit their own claims and the office staff was very helpful in getting me the documents I needed to submit my claim. I would recommend Dr. Reubel if you need dental surgery.
