He explained what he would be doing and the risks involved with extracting teeth. I chose local anesthesia and it was pain free. I was happy to see that he personally calls patients that evening. I had no complications but it's a very nice touch! I had swelling (to be expected) where the tooth was extracted and pain has been managed by ibuprofen and a prescription (only needed to take two of them). The bleeding tapered off a few hours after the surgery. I have to say I was expecting worse! My insurance requires that patients submit their own claims and the office staff was very helpful in getting me the documents I needed to submit my claim. I would recommend Dr. Reubel if you need dental surgery.

Dr. Cassidy was strongly recommended for my mother's tooth extraction by our dentist (who we trust implicitly) but seemed irritated or impatient with my mom's ALZ and anxiety. I understand that those behaviors are challenging and upsetting for some people but it has me in tears thinking of his interaction with her at the consult and on the day of the extraction. He was cold, brusque, and talked over the top of my mother as she was speaking. One of my mother's behaviors is repeating herself or asking the same question again and again. This was not received well by the doctor, and his tone made that clear. When he showed this behavior at the consult, I chalked it up to a busy or not great day for him. To see it again yesterday was heartbreaking. I wish more than ever that I could have been permitted to be with her during the procedure. How did he behave with her when I wasn't in the room? The staff were all extremely kind and pleasant, including a word of compassion from the staff member who wheeled my mom to the car. I felt compelled to share my impressions and perception of our family's experience.

Thankfully, Dr. Cassidy took my concerns very seriously and got me through the surgery with absolutely no noticeable stress to my jaw. The entire staff here was very knowledgeable and professional. All of my appointments ran on time. Though Dr. Cassidy and his associate run three separate offices in the area, this did not impact his availability. You can schedule your surgery in a different location from your consult if it works into your schedule better. Dr. Cassidy even called me to see how I was doing the evening after my surgery. I would certainly not reschedule with these people and to be honest I wouldn't trust them in a room alone with any loved one especially with intentions anything like what they demonstrated to me today. My niece and nephew, who are 6 and 8, have also gone there for cleanings and his office is definitely kids friendly. They have digital x-ray machines and offer same day services for procedures like crowns. His filling was very quick and painless, and he was sure to check in throughout to make sure I was comfortable. They use a "wand" for administering the anesthesia so there is minimal discomfort as opposed to the traditional injections. I would definitely recommend using this family practice for adults and children!
