The Dr. is thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and personable. I really like the location. It is set in Hyde Park/Oakley area and in a cute little office building. There is always ample parking out front and it is a safe area. They are located on the main floor, just follow the signs and you can find it easy peasy. The staff is always super nice and attentive. I am always greeted when walking in and not left to wonder if I need to sign in or if I am going to be left waiting or anything. I have always been taken back in a timely manner and have never had to be there more than maybe 45 minutes in total for a routine visit. Dr. Ott is super nice and a great dentist. The hygienists are always thorough, painless, and thoughtful. They think about the whole picture of your oral/teeth health and take your insurance into account when deciding on testing. Overall, great place to go once or to become an established patient!

One when I took my wife to this office for a tooth…read moreache, he recommended a root canal and cap for this tooth and treatment of the 2 adjacent tooth (no x-rays or antibiotics), Then he sent me to the marketing lady in front (she is in charge of making ballooned up cost with unnecessary items for the benefit of the doctor and her job security), she gave us an estimate of $3500 cash or CC. I called another doctor for a second opinion; he said for 5 days wash with salt water, if the pain does not go away or comes back then come and see me. We did the pain never came back. On a second incident I went to Dr. Christopher Omeltschenko for a root canal on a tooth that had a cap on it, he said I need a new root canal and a new cap and sent me to the same marketing lady in front; again she added some nonsense items and gave me an estimate of $2700. I called another very nice Endodontics in Kentucky, he gave me an estimate of $900 and said the cap does not need to come off, and the bill will be sent to my medical insurance then I will pay the balance, which end up to be $350. Then surprise I received a surprise bill from Dr. Christopher Omeltschenko for $130 for the estimate he had given me, I paid it, what a rip-off.

They repeatedly violated my HIPPA rights. The dentist and his assistants repeatedly asked me…read morepersonal, prying questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the work he was doing on my teeth. He and his staff made me extremely uncomfortable. When I expressed my concern, the dentist became rude and mean in a very patronizing way because I spoke up about it. On a subsequent visit, I arrived a few minutes late wearing a boot because my leg was injured, and the escalator wasn't working that morning in the building his office is located. When I walked in, he gruffly told me to sit down and open my mouth, then jabbed me hard with a needle with no warning to numb my teeth, in what I believed was retaliation, after I politely requested his staff to stop violating my privacy. In prior visits, he informed me what he was going to do. After treating me disrespectfully, he then rudely lectured me on being a few minutes late, that one occasion, like I was a child and not a grown woman, never acknowledging the accessibility issues in his building that morning. His assistant took pictures of my teeth with a polaroid camera and X-rays at my first visit, but later claimed at my second visit, that they delayed that they didn't take pictures or couldn't locate them for my follow- up visit and took the same pictures again. I still wonder to this day, considering how violative they were of my privacy, what they did with the first set of pictures that I absolutely know they took. I should've never returned after that, considering how odd that my pictures disappeared. The first thing the lady did was take pictures of those teeth. I have always had bright white teeth; yet after multiple visits there, I noticed little nicks and stains in my teeth that were not there before I went. Be would sand teeth that he was not working on. I never felt comfortable with that, as I've never had a dentist do that before, which might explain the nicks. That was also the only time in my life where a hygienist cleaned my teeth and the dentist did not come in to check her work on my teeth after she finished. Is that even legal? The dentist also told me about a few of other patients that I had no idea were his patients, before he told me, violating their privacy too. He also repeatedly questioned me about my prior dentists, asking questions that I didn't believe was his business to ask. Ultimately, he became really mean and condescending at my last visit, in a scary way; his personality changed in such a bad way after I requested his office to respect my privacy, that I never went back. That was by far the worst most bizarre dental experience in my life.
