Numbed me multiple times and started drilling and what not and I kept telling them I could feel it. Then the dental piece in my mouth it was metal popped out my mouth because it wasn't placed properly and snapped on my face. No apology or anything. As I'm shaking in pain and literally crying because it hurt so bad the dentist got so frustrated with me have me a numbing shot in my root canal hole rough and said "yeah we're not doing this today" and left me with the assistant. Who was totally wonderful may I add. The dentist came back and told me there's no way I was feeling the pain because he numbed me and then took my nerves out but I was still feeling everything. He was very rude, and not comforting or personable. AT ALL. The assistant and the receptionists were outstanding! But the dentist...ruined it for me. Dentist name was Douglas Stephens.. and if you look him up I'm not the only one.

I would have given 1 star however I liked my dentist from here so he alone earned this location an extra star. I will be attempting to get an urgent appointment made in the next week, but if I cannot then I will not be returning to this location.

Hurts ten times worse when the person berating you and casting judgement is a brother or sister in Christ. Single mom of three, veteran, council member, genuinely someone who tries to do good and give back to the community. My downfall, as a single working mom juggling so much sometimes I run late when putting adding something new to our life. I sought out this dentist solely due to what I thought was shared beliefs. I have a son who is twelve and has a fear of shots and has two cavities. I was ten minutes late and let my son go inside first while I parked, got my one year old daughter out of the car, and sent a work text. I hadn't gone through anything like this before and for some reason I was under the impression that he would go in get gas, there would be some time to allow it to go into effect and then it would be time for the fillings which I intended to be inside for. I had already spoken to the dentist about the laughing gas and requested it for my son at our last visit. I got a call from the front staff asking if I was coming in to which I said yes. I was not told at that time that they were waiting for me. When I came in my son was in the waiting area in a chair crying. The dentist pulled me back to his office ridiculed me stating he was not going to treat my son said "I'm not dealing with this", "this is a waste of everyone's time", "I'm not starting my day like this", reiterated the fact that I was late and I should've been in there. All this while he sees me holding my one year old and just kind of insinuating I was being a bad parent and my son was the bad kid that's just too much for him. My boys are so sweet don't get in trouble at home or school just one has a fear of needles and I wasn't aware of the full process. I thought I had time and wanted to avoid my daughter freaking out disrupting clients so I was trying to not have her in there the entire time, but I hadn't realized there wouldn't be much time in between my son receiving his shot and getting started. It would have been nice when I received the call to come in to know your son is emotional/hysterical and needs you. I kind of just thought they were checking to ensure I was here before they treat and that I didn't drop him off and/or that I would need to pay immediately. Hind sight is twenty twenty and I wish I would've planned ahead for school traffic and just walked in at the same time. Either way it would've been nice to be treated with grace instead of harshness, judgement, criticism, frustration, and rejection. The front staff and dental hygienists we encountered were extremely sweet and kind, but apparently the dentist we saw only is when we are not an inconvenience. Doesn't help that I just so happen to be of brown complexion. So if you tend to run behind or you yourself or children need some TLC I would recommend checking with another dentist office or trying a pediatric dentist.

I was actually going to blindly follow their recommendations but decided to get a second opinion with a different dentist. The second dentist only recommended one filling. I'm sure there is some subjectivity on whether teeth need fillings and other work, but this seemed excessive. I was very disappointed that FYA refused to send my X-rays to a different dentist when I asked. Something is not quite right.

I was blown away by how accommodating, friendly, and genuinely kind all of the staff were. Every time I've been to visit, they have provided me with excellent service. My partner and I are moving this summer, and I can honestly say that one of the worst parts of this move will be having to find a new dentist.

She was thorough through everything, telling me what was going on and answered all of my questions no matter how silly I may of thought they were. I have terrible "dentist" anxiety and this was my first procedure in quite a long time. I was opted to receive nitrous oxide for my procedure but unfortunately the machine was down that day. As you can imagine, as any anxious person was, I was terrified of that needle. Though Dr. Nicholas and her assistant was able to calm me down and assure me that it would be merely painless. You know what? They were right. I felt a little poke, like barely even a pinch after the numbing gel and that was it. They're highly trained enough that you may not even need to opt for nitrous. If you're scared to visit a dentist, this is honestly the best place to go. If you're not insured they are the most lovely people (Especially Nancy, God bless her!) in the world who will work with you to setup an affordable payment plan.

The pictures in the lobby were sun bleached and looked like they came from a sears photo studio. The staff is very incompetent and rude. The exam chairs are old, dirty and uncomfortable. The most concerning things were the state of the dental utensils and the stainless steel in the exam rooms. Every inch of visible steel was tarnished with buildup and rust starting to form or already formed. I originally called to set up a visit with a prosthodontist, which they confirmed they were able to take care of 6 months ago. Once I finally sat in the dirty exam chair and asked why I was there, they then told me they have never been a prosthodontist and couldn't even recommend one in town because they don't know of any. Then why did they make me wait 6 months telling me they could do it just to get me there, bill my insurance, and tell me they can't help me. I would never recommend this place. Not even if you're looking for a paperback copy of the Bible which they have signs saying they hand those out and to ask for one. It's a joke and an insurance racket. Plain and simple.
