I feel conned by this place even to this day, several years later so decided to write a review when I saw the name come up in a search I was doing. To this day, many years later, I still have no cavities. I feel this place is just about grabbing as much money for you as possible and seems to want to do unnecessary dental work. Would not recommend them at all and if you do go and they tell you that you need a bunch of dental work, GET ANOTHER OPINION before you waste your hard earned money.

I really wanted to like this office. I went to her with an open mind and heart. She came up with a…read moreserious treatment plan that cost over 12,000 dollars out of pocket. Then wanted to start with a deep cleaning around 1400 dollars. I had the deep cleaning and 2 months later I have the same problem. They are not clear on their pricing and are a little shady. I thought the total was $1300 something and signed off. Turns out 2 months later they send a bill saying I'm behind 60 days on over for $450. They definitely are doing some kind of billing scam. Because I would NEVER agree to over 1700 dollars for a cleaning out of pocket. The $1300 was a fortune for me. Initially they sent me a bill that didn't even include all of my payments. I had to send them my bank checking account screen shots of all that I had paid. They showed me that I had only paid $ 100 and then another $576. But I had paid them three payments of $100, $576, and $350. They had given me a credit of 261.21 in discounts. So you can see why when I was charged the $350 on my cleaning day I was led to believe that was the total balance paid in full. Or why not ask for more money that day? I would have paid it then. Most I should owe is $95 dollars, but they are reporting that I owe about 450.00 still. They just bumped up the total price after I caught them not remembering my payment of $350 and it took them 2 months to get back to me about the billing error. So now it's not 1300 something that I agreed to , but 1732 that i agreed to. Very shady. They don't take my insurance either, which is why I paid out of pocket to treat an tooth abscess. I went to her for help , serious help to preserve my life. I'm out of a thousand dollars and I still have the same problem. I cried in the office and I'm crying now but mostly angry. I threw a thousand dollars away on nothing. So I'm certainly glad that I didn't take out a loan to pay her the 12,000 that she wanted to do more work. four crowns and 2 fill ins. Something aint right. My recommendation is to stay away from her offices if you are poor, working poor, middle class. She is only for the rich who can throw money away on overpriced services. She is definitely NOT a servant of the people or God. Wish I didnt have to warn you, but cuídense hermanas. take care sisters. رعاية الأخوات PS I hope her office doesnt break patient confidentiality too like it seems in their responses on here. Turns out Sever Star doesn't take my insurance... which is completely fine. The problem is the scam they run to still get money from people. I called to make an appointment and gave them my insurance information over the phone. I showed up for my appointment, filled out MORE forms about my insure, and sat in the lobby for 15 mins. Then I took a 30 minute tour of the entire office, and shown all the equipment. During ALL OF THIS TIME no one informed me that they didn't take my insurance. Instead they sat me in an X-ray chair and proceeded to take films of my teeth. FINALLY, after they performed a task they could bill me for, they sat me down in a room to make future appointments and let me know in a fancy PowerPoint what the bill would be. So they clearly knew all along that they didn't take my insurance, but decided to troll me into services that I didn't need or request BEFORE telling me that I'd have to pay out of pocket. It's just a straight up scam, no other way around it. If you're already paying out of pocket and you don't mind overpaying, then there's definitely nothing wrong with Seven Star. I hope you enjoy your experience. However, if you DO have insurance... and would like to use it without being trolled and scammed out of your money then go find one of the other 1000 dentists in the area.

She never pressures you into any treatment and listens to your concerns. I had several cosmetic issues I wanted corrected and a number of dentists throughout the years rolled their eyes at me like I was being so superficial. After getting my braces off over 10 years ago, I had number of yellow stains on my teeth that were very bothersome to me. Two previous dentists told me there was nothing I could do and I should have flossed better as a young teenager. The damage was done and I was stuck with these stains. Dr. Hayden was the first dentist who was willing to help, and not only that but she explained how simple it was to correct the problem (honestly, it took her 30 minutes). I've also had a problem with Novocaine wearing off on my upper row of teeth. Other dentists acted like I was faking the pain I was feeling. Dr. Hayden explained that it's not uncommon for some patients to metabolize the Novocaine faster than others. Whenever I'm in a procedure with her, she always checks on my comfort level and administers more Novocaine before the pain sets in. I liked her so much that I brought my four year old in to see her and he actually likes the dentist! Can you believe it? Also, when you refer a new patient, you get a set of professional grade teeth bleach for free! They are awesome! All of her bleaching procedures are done at cost and are shockingly inexpensive. Thanks to Dr. Hayden, I'm no longer afraid of the dentist and I'll be a patient with her until she retires!

I appreciated that there were pictures on his website which allowed me to see that the entrance is very handicapped friendly, as this is a must for me. The doctor himself seemed very competent and friendly. After my cleaning I was not asked for money upfront. That might be because the person who usually takes payments was not there. I was shocked when I got the bill and discovered that it was over $300 AFTER Humana had paid their portion. For just a cleaning and bite wing x-rays?! But, OK, I don't generally have a lot of problems with my teeth, so I was just planning on asking to go in less often - every nine months instead of six for cleanings. Recently I was having some pain (not sure if it's sinusitis or tooth problem) so I called the office to attempt to get an appointment. I called three times a day for two days straight and only to discover that apparently they are not answering the phone anymore. I'd get a recording asking me to leave a message and they would call me back. I did that. Never got a call back. This doesn't seem like a very efficient or caring way to run a business. When I started searching for another dentist I discovered that I cannot use my Humana Insurance there anymore. Altogether not a great experience!

The front office staff, can be a bit argumentative - especially when told something seemed off (like the billing). Like many people, I have dental insurance. Incredibly good dental insurance. In 2021, when I started seeing Dr. Franz, he was in-network as verified by my insurance and his office, and was to be paid at 100% for preventative care. This office insists on billing medical insurance first, then my dental insurance after that which is odd, but okay. Come to find out nearly 3 years later, they've had billing problems BACK TO 2021 and never said anything. They weren't paid at 100% in 2021 as they should have been. But instead of calling me to inquire, they just let it sit. And sit. And sit. FOR YEARS. Then, after my cleaning today I was presented with a $600+ bill and told they would "only charge me $28 today." Then, the receptionist (Taryn) tried to charge my credit card for the full $600+ amount. Seriously?! I informed her that when I bought the dental insurance policy (in July 2021), I was told all preventative care is paid at 100% for in-network providers. Taryn said that Dr. Franz is still in-network but my insurance doesn't pay 100%. I got in the car and called the insurance company - guess what? In-network is paid at 100%, as I'd told the office. The thing is, without any notice, Dr. Franz's office dropped my dental insurer and became "out of network" in January 2022. When I called back and talked to Taryn about what the insurance said, her response was "well, I'm sure we sent you an email." No, they didn't. Needless to say I had her cancel my next 6mo appointment there and then. Like any profession, dentists and doctors have a duty to uphold a reasonable standard of business - and that's not it. If you choose this office, I'd double check that he's still in-network no less than 2 weeks right before your appointment.
