I went to Shingo on a Friday night and it was packed. Luckily, we didn't have to wait for a table, but after we sat, we waited 15 minutes to be greeted and served, while we watched tables that arrived after us get service before us. While the service wasn't great, the food was good. We ordered steamed goyza, which came out right after we ordered and our sushi arrived shortly after. Went for the lunch special bento and left satisfied. I was looking for a new ramen place and I think I found it. We arrived just in time for the lunch special and got a spicy pork ramen. All I can say is it was really great. It wasn't really that spicy but it was delicious. The server was really nice as well. They also have many sushi options if that's your thing. I took a chance and ordered (take out) Ramen here to see if they changed anything from years ago after being disappointed. Nope, nothing changed. It's the same mediocre ramen. I ordered their Cha-su ramen and the pork was dry like it had been sitting for a long period of time and the broth tasted like something out of a box that I'd buy at the grocery store, flavorless with little to no saltiness to it. For $15+ ramen, I was expecting more but I'll just make my own next time. Would not recommend for ramen. read more

This is now on my top 5 best ramen joints in South Florida. It's all about the broth and I say it every time. This was a heck of a pleasant surprise. We ordered a spicy cold conch and octopus salad that was as delicious as it was refreshing, an order of gyoza and one Ying Yang roll to share between the three of us but the main event, the star of the show, was undoubtedly...the spicy pork ramen. I opted for mild and it did still have some kick to it but the depth of flavor on the broth was top tier. I see why they were hyping it so much and it's now my favorite ramen joint in West Palm area until further notice. This is in a little strip mall two doors down from Publix on 441 and Lake Worth rd. I came in here Wednesday before Thanksgiving for lunch, because I have so much running around to do and new time to make lunch so sushi was the answer. I sat at the bar and I immediately was handed a menu. I got their lunch special of a JB roll which is salmon and cream cheese. Along with a salad, chicken teriyaki, a spring roll, and chicken Gyoza. I have to say it's difficult to finish it all. The JB role was delicious, the teriyaki was white me, but it felt like it might've been maybe Friday to cook because it was crispy and a little dry The Gyoza was fried , knowing that, next time I will asked for it steamed I walked by a group of people eating Ramen and it looked absolutely delicious. I'm one of those people that soup is for a cold day and I had so much running around that day that I just was not in the mood for hot soup. But I would like to try that next visit I go on a cold day, perhaps. Pricing was extremely fair and the food was very good. I will certainly go back and try more ! read more

I have been to this restaurant once before and had only tried their sushi to go. Today my family went and ate in. We were so disappointed. The place was empty except for one table and us. We ordered some garlic edamame (and it was oily) and the oil had a weird taste and couldn't taste any garlic. We also had the sashimi appetizer and it was super really thick, not like sushi grade and the tune had a grey color, I didn't have any I passed. My son had the plain ramen but we added chicken and broccoli. He said the chicken didn't taste like chicken and he had me try it, it didn't taste like anything but I guess that's expected?? The broth tasted like water. My husband had the yakisoba, and he said it needed sauce. Although it looked like it had some sauce, he said it needed something. The taste was lackluster. The service was almost non existent and we kept having to ask all other staff to check on our food, get us the check, get our waitress. Etc. So, I don't think we will be going back. read more

It was our first time there so it took us a little to figure out what we wanted We started out with the Kani Nori It was delicious and very tasty and the perfect amount! Then we went ahead and ordered new rolls we have never tried before Obviously a yummy basic roll was the JB Deluxe and it was DELICIOUS! Then something new was the Rainbow Spider Roll it had soft shell crab! Our first time trying it! I thought it was very interesting and delicious but my partner wasn't a big fan of the after taste of the soft shell crab, I didn't have an after taste. My new Ramon Noodle Spot. Came here last night and had a good time and a full belly. It's not a big restaurant but it's super cozy and super clean. They start off with giving you hot towels to clean your hands. Their menu was pretty large. As for adult drinks, it was mostly wine and sake. I had the Tonkotsu Ramon bowl and added bean sprout. It was delicious. Hubby had the Duck Ramon bowl and was equally happy. It was very tasteful and most importantly, it was NOT too salty. Can't tell you how many places we've been too and these Ramon's are super salty. So it looks like I found my new gem spot for whenever I am craving a soup bowl. The appetizer were delicious and fresh. Everything came out the way it was supposed to look, Presentable. I ordered the Age Tofu and it was so good. I went to Shingo's a few times maybe 20 yrs ago and was always impressed with the fresh flavor of the fish. Last night we had them make up 2 sushi boats for a party we were throwing and we were completely thrilled! Previously we got big 4' party boats from a restaurant down in Boca, but the other day I went to have a quick lunch and was underwhelmed with the flavor of the fish and the enthusiasm of the staff. The boats from Shingo's were gorgeous, fresh and delicious. Shoyu, eel sauce, spicy mayo, plenty of wasabi and ginger, chop sticks included. And it didn't upset me that they were maybe 25% less than down in Boca! Highly recommend a small family business that's lasted this long... they're doing something right... read more
