Upon browsing options for lunch I came across a photo of new matcha milk tea so I had to come and try. It was absolutely divine, like drinking ice cream. I had the sashimi lunch for my entree. The presentation was perfectly colorful with delicious fresh cut tuna and salmon. I also got a side of garlic fried rice which was excellent as well. The staff are always so kind and attentive.

I was craving sushi and I was in the area, so I searched on Yelp for sushi near me. This was the first place that popped up and it looked good (judging from the reviews). I looked at the menu and ordered the Blue Ocean Cut Up Roll and the JB Cut Up Roll. The overall cost wasn't terrible, it was $27.82 after taxes (pretty average for a sushi spot). I placed the order via Yelp and since I was so close after completing my errands, I figured I'd just swing by the restaurant and wait for my order in the area. I walked in and right off the bat, didn't seem friendly or receiving so that was off-putting to say the least. Then, I told them I was there for a pick-up and my name. They said "it's not ready yet" in a rude tone as if I was rushing them (which BTW, I wasn't whatsoever). I responded "That's fine, I know I'm early." Then they proceed to repeat that same statement to me twice in the same unfriendly manner which I responded "it's fine" two more times. Talk about totally unnecessary! They made me feel like I was a nuisance when all I did was tell them that I was there for my pick up (knowing I'm early and they could take their time). Overall, the sushi was ok and the service, not the vibe. It's a one and done for me, I'm not coming back.

I tried the Kanisu cucumber wrap for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! Kani, avacado, masago, rice vinegar, honey miso and sesame. I will definitely order this again soon!

This cozy gem has excellent unique food. I enjoyed the vegetable soup which isn't usually on the menu, everything was delish.

I love everything I tried in the menu! My favorite is the tonsoku Ramen! They are fast and polite, the restaurant it's clean and the music is not loud which allow you to have a private conversation. Terrace is nice as well, metal chairs are not my favorite when going with shorts, so I avoid to be out.

We ordered pick up from this restaurant a week or so ago. They followed our instructions to a T. My extra hot red curry was spicy and just how I like it. We ordered several rolls of sushi, all of them were delicious and fresh tasting with generous amount of fish. Thai iced tea was made perfectly with the perfect amount of tea, milk, and ice. It wasn't watered down at all and absolutely delicious. Overall, I found the quality of the food as well as portions here really wonderful, and would definitely order from here again.

Leaving another 5 star review for them because they are so good to their customers! Had a party this weekend and they did not disappoint with their trays! This was a very large order and they knocked it out of the park. The food was delicious and presentation scored major points as well.

I came with my boyfriend for dinner for the first time the other night. The place is small, but the sushi was delicious. We really enjoyed the Miami Heat Roll. The Spicy Tuna Roll and Tuna Lover also did not disappoint. We were not fans of the Special Wahoo Sashmi. It was just ok. We will be back though.

The vibe is super cool, cozy seating, great ambience, dim lighting that feels like a hidden gem. I sat on the comfy couch and ordered sushi from OKA, which was honestly better than ever. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The cocktails were delicious too; strong, creative, and exactly what I wanted for a chill night out. I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help. Fix those things, and this place could be amazing. Hoping it was just a one-off bad night!

Saturday night, Anniversary night.....decided going to a speakeasy (regardless of what's 'next…read moredoor') we thought it would be super cool. . You need to make a reservation with a credit card as if you don't show they will charge. Sounds high end and the place to be. That day we tried to adjust a reservation by 30 minutes. NO ONE WOULD ANSWER NOR RETURN CALLS, no matter how many times we called or messaged on the app. We read 20 minute grace period so we choose '20 minutes' late. They text us door1 code. Ok, cool..good start. We get there....Door1is propped open. Then you were in a vestibule area. Door 2 (where you are supposed to ring in) is ALSO OPEN. So literally other than not having a name on the outside, is a bar. An expensive one. We were really disappointed as stupid as that sounds as we didn't get the speakeasy experience. Hostess says they are really busy. Umm, the place is half full. No real tables but honestly we sat on the couches looking at the bar, and turned out perfect for cocktails and app, and enjoying my beautiful company (my wife). Out waitress was cool, kept apologizing for how busy it was .....again 1/2 full. We were thinking there would be a mixologist there. Nope, just another waitress who never smiled once making drinks. And $21 drinks that seemed a bit light on the pour (as least for my ol fashioned. We did order a smoked prosciutto burrata app that was quite good! The guy placing music was really nice although for a few songs the volume got turned up and you couldn't hardly talk to your date, but that was temporary. So it was like $80 for 2 drinks and one app. With the 'absence of the speakeasy', mehhh

For those not familiar with the area, this restaurant is located in the same plaza as Monroe's adult club. My husband and I shared the sea bass and the filet, as well as the crab cake for appetizer, compliments to the chef . Fine dinning! The service is superb! Smoked Old fashion was sophisticated and perfect for the atmosphere. Live soul music in the background, loud enough to enjoy but not overwhelming so you can still have a conversation at your table. Sophisticated, over-the-top, stylish, swanky, expensive, with a strong exclusiveness that radiates…read moreas you enter the inner sanctum that is the bar and dining lounge, Mary Lou's is an experience. You may experience it once, or multiple times, depending on how comfortable you are with strictly valet parking and, in particular, the Palm Beach prices, but the food, the cocktails, and the service are on point. For as long as I have lived in the West Palm Beach area, the building that now houses Mary Lou's was a bait-and-tackle store with a respectable craft beer selection. The structure has been in existence since at least the 1960s, by my knowledge, and the owners of what has become Mary Lou's have kept the exterior aesthetic to make it appear like an old but unassuming store on Southern Boulevard, but once you're inside, you realize you're in a completely different universe. Once you valet your car and walk inside, you're greeted by ship-like, polished wooden walls and intimate lighting as you head to the greeting desk to check in. Yes, please reserve a table in advance. Once checked in, you're escorted through a set of doors into a darkened hallway before a circular, circus-like lounge area and bar appear that radiates 70s vibes, not too far from what you may watch on the show Palm Royale from Apple TV. After being escorted to our table, we enjoyed a myriad of lovely cocktails and small and large bites with excellent service. I enjoyed cocktails such as the Olive Ave and Old Soul: the former was a filthy martini made with love and understanding, the latter was a bourbon-based powerhouse with applejack, Barenjager, and mango. I also ordered off the menu and enjoyed a Paper Plane and an Old Fashioned. Both were fantastic bourbon cocktails that the bar made well. The Beef Carpaccio Salad was wicked good with the goat cheese brulee and pine nut butter, while the maple pork belly skewers were solid. The crispy octopus was excellent with the fav bean puree, while the grilled lamb chops were piquant. The Banana Creme Brulee for dessert was very good, shaped like an actual banana with a chocolate shell that evoked Andy Warhol. Everything we were served was meticulously prepared and exquisitely delicious. The service was prompt and accommodating. We rarely waited long for drinks, for additional items off the menu, the bar accommodated us well with different drink selections -- we were a party of six and didn't have delays per my observation. The drawbacks are pricing and exclusive valet parking. Most cocktails run at least $20, and the small and large bites are priced between $30 and $45, with some slightly lower and some slightly higher. You can easily spend $75 to $100 before tip. Therefore, this serves as either a special-occasion spot or a regular-occasion spot for those who can afford it -- definitely Palm Beachy in that regard. The on-site parking spots for Mary Lou's are reserved for valet; self-parking is not readily available, as I have observed. If you're concerned about valet parking, consider either coming with a large group and carpooling or using Uber. After 10 PM at least on Saturdays is when the lounge turns into a dance club with the lights darkening, the spotlights shining, reflecting off the mirror bar, with dancers and DJ spinning music. It can be a lot of fun to take part if you make a reservation at the right time to experience both sides of the establishment.

Very disappointing and unacceptable experience at Mary Lou's in West Palm Beach…read more The prices were already extremely high, and then the final bill included an added 5% operational fee on top of an automatic 20% gratuity. For a restaurant at this price point, these charges should be clearly explained before the bill arrives, not left as an unexpected surprise for customers. The restaurant was also uncomfortably cold throughout the entire evening, which took away from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. What was most upsetting, however, was the treatment by the bouncer. He was rude and physically shoved me without any reason. No customer should ever be handled in that manner. It was inappropriate, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. For the amount charged, I expected a much higher level of service, transparency, and respect. Instead, the evening felt overpriced, uncomfortable, and hostile. I will not be returning and would strongly encourage management to address both the hidden fees and the conduct of their staff.

Oceano, why oh why did I wait so long!?…read more I have been wanting to try Oceano since it was located in its former Lantana location. So when friends asked if I were interested in joining them for an art exhibit, followed by dinner at Oceano, I could not say YES fast enough. I am thrilled to say the wait was worth it. All the chips fell into place when after a small wait we were seated outside (what luck), found our waiter was from Croton-on-the-Hudson (had to wait a year before he was able to land a job at Oceano), and our food was paced perfectly. Started with the Grilled Cucumber Salad that included sumac-labneh, medjool date, berbere spice pickle, pistachio, and the Sugar snap Pea Salad of rhubarb, pecorino, stracciatella, mint, lemon, marcona almond. Next up, Pizza! Had to of course start with the Straight Shooter Pizza which was a simple pie of tomato, mozz, basil, pecorino, good olive oil. Pizza #2 was the Zuchinni Pizza, a white pie of hazelnut, lemon, asiago, mozz, parm, stacciatella. To round out the meal we had the Gnocci Sardi. This was an utterly delicious bowl of pasta that included duck confit, morels, peas, parm, creme fraiche, fines herbs, wild ramps. Super meal with smiles all around. There are two restaurants I feel are super deserving of a Michelin Star in my area, and Oceano is definitely one of them!
