    Avocado roll and California roll

This is my go to spot for simple sushi and when I say simple, I mean, avocado roll cause that's my go-to. A lot of places overcharge for avocado rules, but there's is affordably priced. The service is always excellent here both the chef and the weight staff.

The food was good. I had a dynamite roll and my guest had a volcano roll. The service was fine and the place was small and clean. If you're looking for a local sushi place to go to this would be it.

We loved our visit here. They are a small restaurant -- family run -- in a shopping center with a lot of other restaurants and stores. There's ample parking right out front. Inside, there are not many tables, but that give you a comfortable and cozy feel to the ambiance. We came for a light lunch. We both started with salads. I had their kani salad. It doesn't look large in the picture, but it was filling. The kani (krab) was shredded over thinly sliced cucumbers. And there was a dollop of roe on top in the center. It was very good, but a tad spicier than expected. Next time I'd ask for a milder mayo mix. He had their salmon skin salad. There was a lot of crispy salmon skin served on top of seaweed salad. Both salads were quite refreshing. For his "main" he stayed with the salmon theme, and had a spicy salmon roll. He liked this as well. And I had a soft-shell crab appetizer -- a fried whole soft shell cut in several pieces also served with a couple pieces of krab along with some ponzu dipping sauce. It was good. So glad we came and tried this place. Service was good. Prices were reasonable. I know we will want to return to try more of their menu when we have more of an appetite. This place is a keeper.

Great place for a quick affordable lunch. The restaurant had a nice clean and quiet ambience. The server was very efficient and service was really fast. The fish was very fresh, and they had no problems customizing my son's sushi roll order. Will be going back soon!

I tried the chicken teriyaki with vegetables and rice. It also came with soup and salad. They have dining inside and carry-out available.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Great place to hit up if you're craving sushi and it's the lunch hour! I got the lunch special and to my surprise everything was great. I am very particular with my sushi because I enjoy a good grade of raw sushi. My favorite was the spicy tuna roll which was tasty. Very flavorful and the rice was nice and soft. The Philly roll and shrimp tempura roll were just as good. The salad and miso soup were a great starter as well!!! I definitely would recommend coming here :) I'll be back again if I'm in the area.

By the…read moretime Saturday night rolled around, I decided I was taking myself out to celebrate surviving the chaos. After a quick Yelp search and a TikTok deep dive to confirm the vibes, I found the spot. I walked in around 6 pm for an early dinner and grabbed an open seat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by the two guys behind the bar who were so welcoming and brought me a complimentary cucumber salad to start. It was fresh and tangy and honestly the perfect reset after a long day. Of course I ordered a lychee martini right away. They make sake-tinis here so they are actually made with sake instead of vodka and it was so freaking good. Slightly sweet, super smooth and definitely on the stronger side in the BEST way. I started with the yellowtail with serrano. The fish was insanely fresh and buttery!! The serrano gave it just the right amount of heat without overpowering it. I also ordered a few pieces of nigiri which came in pairs: yellowtail, tuna belly, and salmon. Every single one just melted in my mouth. You could really taste the quality. I tried the salmon and avocado hand roll too and this was one of my favorite bites of the night. The salmon was so silky and the avocado perfectly creamy. The seaweed had that fresh snap to it...I love that it adds a little texture and saltiness that balances everything out. Handrolls are so simple but so satisfying!! At one point I saw them making crispy tuna rice in front of me and immediately had to order it. Literally the best crispy tuna rice I've ever had. The rice was perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside but still soft inside, topped with spicy tuna that was fresh, flavorful and the perfect spice level. For dessert, the guys behind the bar suggested the donut balls and I'm so glad they did. Warm, fluffy little rounds coated in cinnamon sugar with icing on the side for dipping. They were BEYOND! What really made the night though was the atmosphere. So many regulars coming in and out, all greeted warmly by the owner, who was working nonstop behind the sushi bar the entire time. There was such a strong neighborhood feel. Even the guests seemed to know each other. They even had live music playing outside. It was a whole vibe! I left completely full and a little tipsy off my two martinis, smiling to myself. One of the best meals I've had in a while. This place is special.

We came on the perfect day because on Mondays and Tuesdays every sushi roll is only $12. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable, he provided some great menu suggestions. The reservation ended up not being necessary as the restaurant was empty when we got there. We were very impressed with the decor and artwork on the walls. We tried a good sample of the dishes served as well as 2 cocktails -a passion fruit mojito and old fashioned. Both drinks were delicious. As for the food, we ordered big eye tuna crispy rice and lobster and crab donuts, hamachi roll, tuna crispy miso nigiri and Korean wings. The hamachi roll was disappointing flavor wise, but everything else was good. The lobster and crab donuts were a big highlight. The prices are high- ex. the classic California roll is $14...Also, their nigiri selections are very limited. They do not offer regular nigiri, only 4 specialty options which were also $14 per 2 pieces. Although the food was pretty good, it definitely isn't a restaurant we will return to any time soon due to their prices, but it was nice to give it a try.

We had spent some time at the bar first and closed out our tabs before moving. When we got to the table, everyone was moving so slow. We were told that they didn't have sushi. Our order was quick to know. The staff took forever to get our orders. When we finally had a chance to try our food, the lobster that my friend and I had ordered was over salted. It wasn't edible at all. Again, it took forever to flag someone down but finally a manager came over and we both tried to tell him. He told us we could either get a new one cooked up in the back or he could take it off our check. Everything else was cooked just fine! DO NOT COME HERE FOR BIRTHDAYS. I was honestly so sad about the whole situation.. I've always loved Saitos, I came here for my 24th birthday, we told them it was my birthday nobody even acknowledged it. The hibachi chef looked tired. And I'm not saying that to be mean but honestly if you don't take pride and love your job why are you there? It was kind of sad in my opinion. No positive energy..just a sad hibachi chef.. The biggest kicker was the amount of meat they gave us. If you look at my previous reviews you'll see the difference I CAN NOT BELIEVE I paid that much for not even a quarter or a pound of NY STRIP (I'm a butcher and can accurately assume the weigh of steaks within the half pound by looking at them I've been doing it long enough to know..) I got scallops the chef didn't cook them long enough despite me asking him to put them back into the grill, they were translucent on the inside they were definitely undercooked and that is a huge no no- especially for seafood I ordered extra fried rice and got charged for it, for the hibachi chef to give it to a boy sitting at my table I literally couldn't believe it. The veggies were badly cooked they were all super hard and raw.. LITERALLY RAW with one side seared They definitely cut back on the amount of mushrooms and scallions they put in your clear soup, which was disappointing All in all I really think last night was the last time I visit, I'm extremely disappointed although wait staff was very attentive which was great, it's just not worth it anymore After loving Saitos for a good 6 years unfortunately they fell off. thank you Saitos for all of the good times. -sincerely a loyal customer that is extremely disappointed in your new service/portion standards.
