Perfect spot to get your sushi or curry fill. The bento box is usually the perfect amount during lunch. Can't go wrong with panang curry. The potato wrapped shrimp were interesting. Once inside, however, you are transported. They have a covered outside patio for dining, as well. This would be nice in cooler weather. And the restaurant has convenient parking on either side of the building. They have a special lunch menu with a lot of choices as well as a full menu. We both order one of their lunch specials. I ordered their shrimp pad Thai bento box. It came with soup or salad. I chose the miso soup as I'm not a fan of mixed greens. The soup was okay. In the bento box was a fried vegetable roll, a four piece California roll, the pad Thai, and two orange slices. The California roll was very good. Expertly and tightly rolled. I didn't care for the fried veggie roll. However, the shrimp pad Thai was wonderful. A half dozen large shrimp with rice noodles, bean sprouts, scallions, eggs -- all in a slightly sweet pad Thai sauce. And there was a lot of pad Thai packed into the section of the box. My husband got their sashimi lunch special. There were three types of raw fish -- salmon, tuna, and a white fish. Each fish had three fat slices. The meal came with a mixed greens salad. Along with a California roll, and that fried veggie roll. He liked it, "nice and fresh", he said. Although a bit out of the way for us, we felt the food was worth a drive. On the way out, we even got to meet the owner who told us that their menu is available on line.

I have a food allergy and politely asked if one ingredient could be left out of my meal. The server responded rather abruptly that the chef does not alter recipes. When I spoke with the manager, I was told the sauce had already been prepared in advance and would not be remade. I understand that many restaurants prepare sauces ahead of time, and I respect that they may not be able to accommodate every request. My disappointment wasn't with the policy--it was with the way it was communicated. The lack of courtesy and empathy made for a very unpleasant dining experience. We got up and left. Had to. I will not be returning, especially when Sushi Yama has the same entree and they treat you like royalty. I'd recommend Sushi Yama over Kabuki in a heartbeat.

When we called to ask how he obtained her number, he told us that he retrieved it through the restaurant's rewards program. She found this invasive and inappropriate - and downright uncomfortable. We did call him per his request and we felt the conversation went in circles and did not resolve our concerns. Please do not contact her again by telephone or text. I am unsure of why you felt comfortable texting her personal number, that is not appropriate. The original review was as follows - We are totally disappointed - we used to adore this place and spend so much money here. We were happy to be there and enjoy the vibes of the restaurant. My wife and I were regular weekend customers when Peter and Savannah worked here (they were so wonderful to us and we miss them very much) - so returning for my brother's birthday was something we genuinely looked forward to. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. During this visit, we found the staff's manner unkind and unwelcoming. I remember having two birthday parties there (one for myself included) and it used to feel so warm... what happened here? Despite a reservation for five and an environment that was not busy, we felt rushed to order and overlooked afterward. The waitstaff's attitude was unkind and dismissive. Requesting basic service felt like an inconvenience to them. There was no acknowledgment of the birthday and little effort to make us feel welcome. It was disappointing to bring my family somewhere we once enjoyed and spend the meal feeling uncomfortable. We were not expecting special treatment--just courtesy, attentive service, and a pleasant birthday lunch. Management needs to address both the service and the way guests are treated. We left disappointed and have no plans to return.
