Well, one is always wary of an ethnic takeaway that has a huge menu spanning cuisines outside its supposed purview. But then again sometimes one can't be arsed to cook and could use a good old greasy set of curries on a chilly weekday evening. So one takes a gamble on the closest Indian in town--Shimla Village.
Well, kids, I'm here to report that it ain't too bad. Oh, eff it--it's fantastic. It's neither authentic nor healthy, but damn it if it's isn't delicious. The price is right, they have some idiot-proof set meals, and for a a small fee of £1.50 some gorgeous person will deliver it right to your door.
I've only tried the Indian portion of the menu, which I do recommend. If you 1. live in G46, G53, G77 or G78 and 2.) are craving some fast, tasty and affordable curries, give this place a call. It's actually preferable to the Ashoka chains because it doesn't have ideas above its station. It's just yummy takeaway. read more
