I took my wife and 5 kids there and they all loved it. I never got to use the machines to drive, because my kids and wife wouldn't give up the chairs they were having such a great time. My one son was so good at it, they offered him a job. I'm not an expert on simulation machines, but looking at displays it was really impressive. I think they'll even load up the simulators and bring them to any event you want corporate or private. If you're into racing cars, I would definitely check them out. read more

What a fantastic experience Fun and as realistic it gets ! Ever seen the movie Gran Turismo? This is where these guys come to train in the off season. Staff was friendly and informative. We had a group ranging from 12 years old up to 40 The 12 year old drove once In a parking lot- the 40 year old has been to racing classes at sears point. My buddy's a dirt track racer out in Antioch and I heard they have dirt track and more. The seats, the steering wheel feedback. Brake feedback. Pedal feel. Headsets. All was spot on. When I hit the sand or the grassy area my seat, steering wheel and pedals all gave me feedback identical to slippery tires coming back on the pavement. You can do full automatic with paddles or manual transmission with clutch too! Best $25 I've spent in a long time! Super clean and sanitary, gloves and even headset ear pad covers! This is a great experience and a huge asset for real racers in the off season. read more

Went to check this place out today, and had a great time. The folks running the shop are clearly really passionate about sim racing. Their setups are as described - very high quality gear. I was on their "Senna" setup, with haptic feedback, direct drive force feedback, 3 huge monitors - the experience was really immersive. I've done track days at Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway, and have a FFB wheel/pedals and a large monitor at home, and I really wanted to see how the higher-spec gear and FFB would change the experience. Which they definitely do, for the better. The Dbox FFB setup isn't like some 6-DOF motion rig - it does have some motion, but it's primarily about "feel" through the seat, and it delivers that in spades. The direct-drive wheel was *strong*. Enough so that at the end, I felt that sort of mental overload that comes with a track day along with a sense that I was just "worn out" after the experience (in a good way!). The prices are quite fair (check out how much some of this gear costs, and how much of a beating it takes when you use it, and I think you'll agree). I'd love to see them do networked races across the four setups they have there. Really enjoyed my time at Drive, and I hope they're able to find an audience of like-minded enthusiasts in the area! read more

Had a great time on the simulators today. Bill helped us decide on a track, cars and race setup. He clearly expanded how everything worked and made sure we all had a great experience. Full haptic feedback was super fun and well worth the few extra bucks. Store is easy to get to and there's plenty of extra space to watch over the shoulders of those racing,, or on the big screens. I went to Drive Simulations this past weekend and brought my nephew and his car enthusiast best friend who was visiting from out of state. We all had a great time! I let them use the haptic (motion) simulators and I used the static (fixed) simulator. I was a little jealous, but I'll have to try the haptic version next time, haha. We all got headsets so that we could chat while racing, which was a lot of fun as we turned laps around Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. They have a great understanding of the equipment and are obviously passionate about racing and what they do. The equipment is all top notch! I've done some sim racing myself, but I've never had the high-end equipment they have, so it was really great to check out what those systems feel like as I've always wondered. We'll definitely be back as it was a ton of fun. read more

Our family of 7 had a fantastic time at Drive today! We're so excited to have such a close and conveniently located driving simulation arcade! It was easy to find and book online. It was well decorated, air conditioned, impeccably clean, with the most advanced tech and the customer service was amazing. We had a blast! What started as a father/son outing soon ended up a family affair with Mom and the girls. We tried all four sims. They have amazing tech that is fully immersive with wrap around screens and lifelike set up. They have two stationary sims and two that have motorized seats. They have options to add VR as well, which is a kid fav. Of course Dad and the older kids (ages 14, 13, and 9) got most of the action, but our 4 and 7 year olds got to have some fun as well. Our kids (and let's be honest, Dad) are itching to go back and race. My teens are already planning to go with their friends after school and they're asking to have their birthday parties here. I can see them being here racing with their friends (and family) on those hot summer days where we're always trying to find cool things to do. We will definitely be back soon and often! read more

This place is amazing! I made my first visit yesterday, 11/9/2023. Paul and Bill were talked me through the setup and were available whenever I had a question. They gave pointers when I was struggling. The simulators are super advanced! There are an overwhelming amount of cars and tracks to choose from. This was my first experience with a racing simulator. Even though I was TERRIBLE at it I will continue to go. The haptic simulators were something else. Constant movement, airflow in your face, instant response on the wheel every time I ran into a wall. If you think you would enjoy this, I recommend joining the Apex Club to take advantage of a discount on booking. You will need to commit to at least 4, 30 minute experiences a month and 2 month's minimum. Now, I just need to improve. F1, here I come! read more

I came here on two separate occasions: The first time was on my own, walking in on a weekday. All the rigs were reserved, but the group never showed up, so I was able to drive for 30 minutes. Essentially, the place has 6 very nice sim rigs hooked up to Assetto Corsa with a lot of mods and tracks set up. I sat in the rig with no haptic feedback, but it was still fun. The person working that day unfortunately had a lot to deal with since 2 of the 4 occupied rigs were driven by small children. Despite having to juggle with everyone asking for help, the person working there was still able to help me get set up (I have no real prior experience with expensive rigs and Assetto Corsa) and suggested a fun track to try: Shutoko Expressway, which is a highway in Japan. The half hour flew by super fast, because I was having a fun time racing through the highway. The second time I came by, I brought 3 other people to play as a group. They have headsets and Discord to allow you and your friends to communicate with each other during the game, which is great. I also found out that you can swap out the F1 steering wheels for normal circular steering wheels. For this visit, I used the rig with haptic feedback (+$5 more/30 min) and thought it was worth the extra money for that extra bit of immersion. The rig moves around a little bit while you're driving, but you'll really feel it when you crash into something :) It's too bad it doesn't really lean forward and back when you gas and brake if you use a normal street car, but that's probably an Assetto Corsa issue. It was a lot of fun to play as a group, but the only downsides to it are that switching between tracks and cars will eat into your seat time because the worker needs to change everything on the server (when you play solo, you can pick your tracks and cars freely, but for group play, you cannot). Also we weren't able to use Shutoko Expressway for our group game, which was kind of a bummer. I recommend that anyone who plans to come here as a group should pre-decide the cars and tracks to use, to maximize your seat time. They don't have all the cars, so be prepared for that. For example, we wanted to race Honda S2000s, but they were not available. With most of the fun bay area go-kart tracks now out of business, I feel like this is a very nice alternative, with very good pricing. This is one place I'll definitely be coming back to a few times a year. Also, I'll be honest, I don't know why you would want to bring your kids here. The steering wheel force feedback is strong enough to hurt your wrists, if you're not careful, and this isn't like playing Mario Kart (although Mario Kart is actually pretty hard now). These are simulators, not arcade machines. read more
