Dragon fruit refresher
Kelsie M.

Beautiful shop and delicious refreshing dragon fruit drink! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu-all the drinks & treats look delicious! Very nice staff.

I am new to the world of Yemeni coffee but this place was delicious! The man running the counter was very knowledgeable in their coffee drinks and was able to in selecting a drink! I got the lotus latte coffee (they have milk alternatives!) and it was incredibly sweet but overall delicious. It was served on an adorable tray as well. Finally the cheese croissant was amazing! It was warmed to perfection and was equal parts savory and flakey.

Visited Shibam Coffee--the atmosphere is beautiful and definitely the highlight. Unfortunately, our coffee wasn't made correctly. We asked for it extra hot, but it came out lukewarm twice, even after having it remade. Hoping for better consistency next time because the space itself is really nice.

Very beautiful modern and clean coffee shop. When u walk in u are truly amazed by the decor and ambiance and I love that they play traditional Arabic music and their coffee service is pretty quick. The Spanish latte is so good! My friend got the pistachio latte iced and she really enjoyed it, she said it did not have the artificial taste but rather a real pistachio nutty flavor. Overall I was impressed!

Best coffee I have ever had and I have had a lot of coffee! I had the pistachio latte and it was amazing! I love the dine in mug option! Also tried the Nutella croissant and it was delicious!

Such a gem, tucked away in a Detroit neighborhood, right off Rosa Parks Blvd…read more The setting is enchanting: a restored church with attached rectory, lots of relaxing outdoor and patio seating and a stage for live music. Exploring the details of the building and the monthly artist they feature is worth the trip. People watching is another attraction. The Congregation pulls together a diverse group of people, reflecting the neighborhood it calls home. We are mocha snobs and thoroughly enjoyed our mocha prepared in a large mug. It was beautiful, rich and piping hot. This trip, we added a freshly sliced piece of banana chocolate chip bread. Look forward to trying some of their other menu offerings in the future. The staff worked efficiently and were friendly in an "urban setting" kind of way. Seating inside is ample yet also stayed full as this place appears to be quite popular. Prices were reasonable. We will return just to hang out and try more of their offering or the attached pizza place called The Rectory. On Wednesdays, they offer a local farmers market. Kudos to the visionaries who restored this building and created an interesting and warm community gathering place.

I got the strawberry shortcake matcha and it was delicious! I could taste not only the strawberry,…read morebut the shortcake as well. A lot of their drinks are a tad on the pricier side, but I thought it was worth it. They have a case of milk cakes that I really need to try the next time I'm back. My friend had the banana matcha which she really liked. She also had the honeycomb bread. I had a bite and it was a really nice balance between light bread, creamy cheese, and a drizzle of honey. The service was quick. You can either order at the counter or at a tablet on the wall. There is plenty of seating with beautiful lighting and decor throughout. There are outlets and WiFi if you want to do work here.

The line was overflowing all the way to the entrance--always a good sign. On a quick glance, I loved the ambience. It has that cozy Mediterranean coffee-house vibe that feels warm and inviting. My friend tried to check if there were any tables inside, but it was completely packed. Not sure if it's newly opened or just that popular, but for a Friday evening around 8:30 pm, the crowd said it all. I'll give it 3 stars for now since I couldn't really sit and enjoy the experience, but I'll definitely revisit and bump it up or down after my next visit

This is the Coffee shop vibe you are looking for. I was able to come in and log into work as I ate…read moreand it was very chill. So there is street parking so keep that in mind. It is in front of a building that has a lot of other storefronts...but if you park anywhere on that block of Michigan Ave you will be within walking distance. They thrive in coffee and pastries but they do have a really good egg sandwich as well. They are super nice and friendly and will walk your food to your table. It's not a large shop so it may be crowded depending on what time you go. There is a countertop that seats 4, a long table ther seats about 10, and a few 2 top tables. If you have a large group this may not be for you. Alba egg sandie - this was an excellent sandwich. I wish it had sausage or bacon on it but regardless it's great. It's light and fluffy as well as airy and savory. It comes with the aioli/chive and this is what sets it off. But the egg is thick and the perfect size to boot.

Alba is a popular spot... at least it was on this Sunday morning!!…read more I found street parking relatively easy. The signage from outside is clear. I have to add that I was welcomed whole heartedly as I walked into Alba. There was a line... and it continued to grow. It also moved fairly quickly. They offer their viral egg soufflé breakfast sandwich and a number of other pastries, coffee, latte, hot chocolate, and more. My breakfast sandwich was fresh and delicious. It was a lot. Hashem's is truly a treasure and I hope more people will discover it. Service is always friendly…read moreand exceptional. They always offer samples, and are smart to do so because you WILL be back for more. If you love gourmet chocolate, you absolutely must try their imported chocolates. They're right up there with the best gourmet chocolates - forget Godiva, go for Hashem's. They're cheaper and more delicious. You know how when you receive a box of chocolates and you start eating them but you really only like a couple flavors in the box? Not so with Hashem's. I've tried a dozen or so different ones so far and have loved almost all of them - and I am fairly picky about chocolate - no novelty chocolate for me. My absolute favorite are the pistachio cream squares with the gold wrapper. If you're looking for a great gift, buy a pretty box somewhere, then fill it with an assortment of these wonderful chocolates. They're $19.99/lb but seem to average out to about a dollar each (some less, some more) in my experience. Well worth it and a bargain compared to the $3-4/chocolate that gourmet chocolate makers charge. A couple visits ago, I received samples of both the mulberry Turkish delight and rose halawa. I don't normally care for Turkish delight much, but that one was flavorful and delicious. The halawa is a sweet with an interesting flaky texture that melts in your mouth. It was so interesting (in a very good way!) that I had to go back for more and try other flavors (pistachio and chocolate) - all were great but I think I liked the rose best so far (and I don't normally like rose flavor!). Next, I think I'll try coffee. The nuts are great too. I've tried a couple of the pistachio varieties. All in all, Hashem's is a very unique little store and a true treasure of the community.

I was met with a warm welcome and knowledge about various coffee beans and especially the Turkish delights (which were delicious). I would highly recommend making a trip out here even if just to smell the coffee beans!
