I always hear about BM Aura and that it is the best paint on the planet. Well, it was time to put it to the test! As I walked into the paint store I was pleasantly greeted by James C. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he also helped me create an account with them. I discussed my project with James, and he helped me decide on a sheen, mixed up a can of Swiss Coffee/Aura in a Satin finish, and it was a wrap. After laying down a few coats on my walls, I have to say that the quality of BM paint is on a different level. Be prepared to pay a few extra bucks, but also be ready to see your walls come to life! I used to think that paint is paint. Not anymore!

It was a very special trip for us today to get that particular can of paint because a few years ago my sister was deathly ill and has had to take the room downstairs till she got better and finally now is able to go back upstairs to her own room to her favorite paint color so as any time would be your kindness would be appreciated but especially this trip it's a special time for her! No one called me to let me know the paint was ready. I asked her when it was ready, and she snaps "I don't know I wasn't here". I immediately remembered her from my last visit where she had to fully disclose they will paint match but it's not guaranteed. Why doesn't she just say it out loud, "HOW CAN I NOT HELP YOU"? Then she looks up my account by name. As we're standing there for a good solid minute I say, can you put this on my account. She says "I need your ID" sure but why don't you ask for it instead of just standing there, breathing, and existing. Then she sarcastically says, "HAVE A NICE DAY". Your life must be sad to be that angry at strangers. Good lord lady- get a job somewhere else if you don't want to help anyone at Kelly Moore. I don't normally post agro reviews but you're attitude is horrible on the two visits to this KM store.

They don't have a ton of each item favoring breathe instead. I decided I needed to make a shopping list because right now I don't have a lot of storage space. Better to walk around the store to jog my memory and find all the items that have slipped my mind. And it was so, I got a comprehensive list full of items that I'd forgotten. Just a smattering of useful items A caliper/vernier to replace the one that died Food grade silicone sealant to fix up kitchen utensils. Flex seal waterproofing sealant just in case your windows need waterproofing or just to seal up drafts A metal grade glue to repair broken metal parts. If you need to repair automotive parts they make one that can take high temperatures. JB weld makes several of these A fly trap. Oh yeah I need one. Household Goop- acts like rubber cement but so much stronger. I have some glue jobs that are 20 years old and still good. Of course if you want to remove it... I didn't spot a clearance section but the sale prices were quite good. Certainly I paid more on Amazon for some of these items. A fire extinguisher because I have set fire to my kitchen. More than once. Saved by my fire extinguisher. Rescue tape. This is a tape that can be stretched and will stick to itself. It can take high pressure. Great as a temporary fix for plumbing, garden hoses. It's been used to seal underwater fixtures both fresh water and marine. There is more but I had to leave to meet a friend. Next time...

I'm so happy with my paint experience and will always come back for this business with any paint…read moreneeds. As a newbie it's easy to be overwhelmed with what's available in the paint world . I went to a neighborhood Sherwin Williams and was really disappointed when they told me I couldn't get sample paint (?) - but then really pushed for getting gallon base coat and gallon paint. I knew I wanted to swatch the colors first on the walls and they said a sample isn't needed you can just hold up the paper swatch to the wall?? I then went to Home Depot but again was met with paint selection that didn't really match the color I was seeking. When I came here, I knew what kind of color I wanted and was helped out - right away in discerning the best type of paint for the job. You don't get the level of expertise from other places, and for me I wanted some finite info on the paint before starting my DIY project. The people here know the trends in paint, the undertones and explained how paint breakdowns work. -- You get 10% off your first purchase which is a nice perk, I will be back for future paint needs. I'm really happy with the color and even got some recommendations on a comparable swatch. In the end I purchased 5 gallons of paint, finished my whole house and I'm super pleased with the recommended eggshell mid tier paint. They matched the color from SW with ease and I was happier than going back to SW with their cold shoulder service. If you're new to painting they give you good tips too.. which every bit helps, alongside those fun YouTube tutorial videos online.
