Two team members that really stuck out was Timothy and Lowell. I had this project of either staining or painting an unfinished solid pine wood breakfast table I recently bought at a store. I did not have much experience with staining or painting. My first option was to stain the table the clearest form of stain to retain the light color of the wood. After making visits with my local Home Depot and Lowe's and asking the associates there, i thought I was on the right path to obtaining the correct stain color and handling my project. Well I learned the hard way. The stain color I selected (although was labeled Natural) when applying it, it actually provided an almost orange golden color to the table. This really went against me and my husband's expectation and did not match the theme of our house. We then decided the best solution was to paint the table a solid color to match the paint color of the chairs we wanted to use with the table. Since we felt this project needed more attention and detail, I decided to visit Dunn-Edwards and obtain the proper help. That ended up being the best decision because I after being assisted with both Timithy and Lowell, I felt I was on the right path. Timothy was so knowledgeable, helpful and patient to answer all my questions. He helped me choose the proper paint form and grade for my table. He even had this special method of color matching the paint color from the actual chair we brought to the store. He explained the importance of sanding the table to remove the original stain before applying the new paint color. Lowell, the other team member was also helpful in choosing the proper materials, like the sand paper grade and paint brushes to assure a quality job. In the end, I couldn't be more happier with the final result of my table painting project and I owe it all the friendly team members at Dunn-Edward's especially Timothy and Lowell. If you are looking for quality paint, materials and expert advice for a particular project, then look not further from Dunn-Edwards, especially the Glendora location.

I desperately needed paint for my contractors by the next morning, but Yelp and Google had different times listed for when the store closed. When I called, luck would have it that the shop was closing in 15 min but Daniel the CSR said he'd be able to help me if I got there quickly (I only live a few min away). As soon as I entered, I gave him 2 custom swatches I had brought from another place and he was able to guide me to the closest matches. While not perfect, I was already satisfied with them given my desperation but Daniel went above and beyond and literally created new batches of paint that matched my original swatches, even though it made him stay a little longer after closing. I felt so bad to inconvenience him but he was so gracious about helping me. On top of all that, he applied promotional discounts I wasn't even aware of and offered to help take everything to my car. I will need paint again for another area of house renovation soon and I know where I will be going to purchase. Sherwin Williams management, if you're reading this - buy this man lunch and give him a raise! :)

The workshop far exceeded my expectations in terms of ease and information! Michele was super knowledgeable about the materials/paint/techniques, and it inspired me to start dabbling into the idea of painting some of my own furniture. Or at least some of my own pieces rather than buying them at Hobby Lobby! :p It was super easy to pick up the materials, and there was more than enough leftover for using the materials for another DIY project. The second time I was a customer, Eva, assisted me in my purchase process. I had names of my paint colors and needed a couple of other colors to coordinate with the ones that I already knew. She was accommodating and let me sit and use the table in the store to go over my vision board and she let me use her paint fan deck. Business is small with a variety of paint, products at great prices. The prices are better than Home Depot and Lowe's. But the guarantee is shorter. Vista guarantees the paint for 20 years. Lowe's and Home Depot guarantee it for 30 years or more. But like my friend said, how many people stay in your house for 20 30 or more years. The paint will probably outlast me.
